well you see tomorrow I’m starting a new day to battle with no PMO and this time I’m not going to relapse or slip you see I hate having this addiction and it has not made things better for me my life it’s just keep me a slave in the cycle and I hate it I know porn is bad but I keep relapsing and I got a lot of stress and pressure on me because my mom only works a part time job and I work 6 days a week to help a lot out with bills and I don’t want to let my mom down I want to be the strong one but if she found out she would be so mad at me for it but I beat myself up enough as it is at this addiction like I hate it I got shame and guilt but I’m stuck in this and I pray to god to help me but it feels like he not there sometimes I feel lonely like really bad and I don’t want her to be mad at me about this I’ve kept this secret from her for a long time that’s why tomorrow will be my first day no PMO thanks everyone for the support

  2. So what are you going to replace it with?

You see it serving a purpose in your life. Yes it is an addiction, and destructive, and it causes shame and all that, but it is also what you are using to fill areas of your life where you feel empty, lonely, abandoned, and the list goes on, and that is why it is so hard to just quit.
Has your will power worked before? Nobody has ever done this through willpower and just saying they'll never look at porn again.
Until we figure out what those areas of brokenness are and find way to address those in a healthy way, we will go back to what we have used to make them all go away for just a little while.
You can get free of this addiction. Many have and it is possible, just know that it takes some work to understand what holes it was filling in your life and find new and healthy ways to see life.
    Be well.

i have to agree with Committed to One
Porn addiction is not your problem. It is just masking your real problem.
You need to start with sport- nothing is faster than sports in changing the mood.
Then start with the daily practice of self-love --unconditionally.
Then you have to do some meditation or breathing techniques.
You also need to heal your early childhood traumas.

It is bad but it is not your main problem.
You have to dig deep and realise that you have early childhood shit you need to resolve.
No external force is strong enough if you are well "calibrated"

it is ok. we all have them.
    Start today.
Ask God for help in healing them. he will guide you and in due time u will stop all your bad habits(aka coping mechanisms)

  12. and as you connect with others and share the reality of that trauma and the way you have copped with it....
PMO is the ultimate in isolation. We heal be becoming connected with real people in honest relationship.
Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
    James 5:16 ESV
This is a very key verse in the process.
