Im on day 9 . Im doing this for all of them reasons mentioned by everyone .

I wanted to do 90 days even though i might not get anything out of it . I just needed to see what will happen .

Anyway , but I am starting to consider relapsing . Like the only thing that used to make me get everything out of my system and calm down was PMO.

Would I really find life after this ! Did u fix ur problems when u rebooted ?

    Please share !

It's not a magical fix. If you're looking to get fit, be better socially and the like, Nofap won't solve those things for you. You need to work hard for that. Work on yourself, better yourself.

  3. NoFap is just a way to help you liberate your mind from needing porn to feel good. It helps gain back your willpower and your resolve but from everything I can see this is a life long journey. You won’t just hit 90 and all the sudden never crave porn again. I’ve relapsed after 100 days, twice. And today was a serious struggle for me to not watch, but then again I had been consuming porn since I was like 12 so it might take even that long to get all the trash removed out of my head.
You have to truly be ok and ready to leave porn forever or you will hit that day 90 count and then lose all reason to stop. And you’ll tumble all the way back down the mountain like I did. You gotta have that mentality I’m done, for ever. . and although most minutes of each day I’m there, I’m not always there all the time either but the benefits do start slowly showing themselves.

NoFap is a gateway to the things in life you wouldn't do while routinely watching porn. What sounds better in your head "That's an attractive and smart girl, I should go talk to her" or "That bitch is hot as fuck, I can't wait to go home and jerk off" Porn makes us objectify women and makes us perverted. NoFap is kind of like eating a full breakfast in the morning instead of a poptart and a redbull, it isn't necessary, but your life is so much better.

  5. I've never believed in superpowers and I never will, I think it's utter bs. BUT. The happiest times of my life was when I was 3 and 9 months into my 2y streak because it's what kickstarted me to change my whole life around. Which I can only encourage you to do. As others say NoFap is not a solve all AT ALL, it's just a mean to give you a push in the back to start working on yourself. It makes you stronger though, definitely.

Thanx guys . Im starting to hit flatline .

I know nofap is no majic pill . But what I meant is , is my anxiety and depression related to porn . Cuz i cant fix my self socially unless i get rid of them both .

Anxiety has destroyed my life . Here where I am , anxiety is not common and it could affect u in all aspects of life

    Fruits & Roots

Pornography addiction can be a symptom of an underlying problem. If you were a tree, PMO would be a fruit that is fed by a sick root buried deep within yourself.

Simply abstaining from PMO won’t fix those kinds of problems. It will improve your life, but it won’t necessarily fix things for you. It will make it easier to confront and face these deeper issues, but until you take that journey within you’ll spend a frustrating amount of effort chopping down fruit only to see it regrow.

A whole and healthy person could watch porn and not suffer those things. It would still damage them & erode away at them. If they continued watching porn, it may open the door for depression and anxiety to set in.

But from what I’ve seen, so much more often than not, it’s that PMO is a way we cope with existing depression, anxiety and other emotional issues. It makes it worse, but it’s often not the main cause.

It’s like, some of us are damaged and weakened, often from childhood trauma (but not always so) that is never properly resolved, and that leaves us unwhole and susceptible to the siren’s call of porn.

I don't believe fapping cause depression and anxiety but it does worsen them over time.
I suffer from depression and anxiety since being 13 yo. I'm on my longest monk mode (MM) steak to date (6 months MM->4 months of relapse-> 5 months getting my shit together->current MM streak) and what I experienced was worsening of depression and anxiety while just abstaining. It makes sense since for most of us PMO was a "self-medicating tool" to numb our pain and negative emotions. Once removed pain resurfaces. That's why I relapsed after being half year in monk mode last year. Depression and anxiety buildup was too great for me to handle and I broke. This time around my primary focus was on "curing" my depression and social/general anxiety not just abstention. I learned new tools how to fight them and after 8 months I'm generally feeling better and better. I believe addressing depression and anxiety was the key. Maybe this diagram can be of some help to you:

How many cold baths have you had? Do you still have the anxiety? I've only had 7 and I can already tell they are helping.

Around 25, almost every day since Aug 20th, I had to count from my post about the method in my journal :)
Yes it really helps I had a really bad days yesterday and today. I had a feeling that "dark cloud" has come back. Very dark thoughts clipped back into my mind, I was getting more and more depressed. insomnia, neglected personal hygiene, oversleeping, started ruminating again… I said to myself F... it enough of that at 4 PM and forced myself to cycle uphill for an hour and a half, do weightlifting session after that and finished with WIM HOF method (breathing-stretching-cold shower). A friend invited me for a drink and I accepted it. "Dark cloud" has lifted. It's hard to push yourself to do it, when you're in the dark place, but I learned not to listen to my mind and just do it, no matter how bad I feel at that moment. I look at it as taking a prescribed pill.

I'm having them everyday now. I know I make myself look more like a nutcase every time I say this.

I used to have extreme panic attacks and very bad depression. Since Feb this year I noticed that the prisoners on the scared straight episodes are obviously fearless and they swear constantly. That's when I started doing the thing in the thread I made and literally after no more than 2 weeks my panic attacks were almost gone entirely and I am no longer depressed (I would be feeling amazing now had it not been for femdom porn which has made my life hell unfortunately). You might find it worth trying. I forgot to say the voice in the head thing gives a different "type" of stress to what the cold baths feel like.

  14. Were you pmo addict since 13 year old?

I used to have anxiety at that age till 16 or 17 yo. I think you're not supposed to have anxiety as a grown up man. You could get your hormones checked or your brain still need time to get back to normal from fapping. Grown human can have fear to conquer but not depression or anxiety 24/7. After being in a fight with pmo addiction or PAWS, I will watch myself around other addictive substances as I know what they're capable doing to our brain.

I become addicted to compulsive binge MO at the age of 13 and "progressed" to binge PMO addiction at the age of 20. I had anxiety and depression since childhood. Some bad shit happened to me during this time. Chronical stress lasting for 5 years in my early childhood leaved really bad consequences on my psych. I tried to suppressed them by PMO and alcohol since my teen age but you can't escape your demons. The only option is to face them and I try doing that during my current streak.

  16. That's just the way I started Nofap. And I discovered a bunch of (for me totally unexpected) benefits, what led me to the conclusion to make nofap my lifestyle.
After two and a half year I can say that i don't miss watching porn at all, but not having sex and not masturbating is not that easy at all. You don't loose your sex drive, outs there from the nature of our bodies. It seems to me, that there's the sticking point about nofap as a "cure" for porn addiction. When you are doing a reboot, as long as you can't break up the link between porn and masturbation, you will always relapse.
