Anyone on a good streak listen up..

  1. Hear you loud and clear! I hit 90 days earlier this year but became my own worst enemy by seeking out images that caused me to relapse not once but twice. My best step was getting great help from my psychologist. I feel better than ever, even though I am hit with urges all the time. But if you aren't getting to the root of the problem it doesn't matter how many days you do - you'll relapse. So get help! Don't face this alone! You have the power, so use it.

I appreciate your honesty brother. And we would all do well to heed your warning‘s. I have never gone from 90+ days straight to PMO. I always build up to it by getting away with stuff. I said to myself now that I have recovered, I can look at social media certain newsfeeds etc. Not true for me and sounds like not true for you either. But here you are, sharing your story. I appreciate you! And if you need a boost back on the horse, just let me know.

  3. I'm not gonna lie, this scared me. Now that i'm finally taking control of my life after years, i don't wanna go back. But your comment also helped me to focus on going even further, always keeping my guard up! Thanks friend. I hope you get well soon.

It’s probably a good idea to stay away from there maybe forever? What’s the point of social media; time waster.

I could always use a boost! Thanks

Hey buddy, i was the same as you. On a 1 year + streak and ended it. I now know why. How ever this past month or so has been brutal in withdrawal symptoms. Had to take off work to get through it.

    Stay strong brother

  7. Last week, I started losing hope due to anhedonia and repetitive of some withdrawal symptoms. Then I started jelqing my pen*s, out of nowhere I could feel heavy pressure and tingling sensation throughout my head returned with vengeance. That little experience got me humbled to accept the pain and continue with the reboot.

  8. You don't necessarily need to take Vitamin B if you have a good diet. I've found it makes me more stressed out if I take it, like my brain is oversensitive to stuff.

I pretty much can't play any violent video game or watch any violence in movies. PMO literally takes everything from us in the end. I've finally come to the conclusion that it's the work of Satan himself, he is the master of lies, and he never shows his true form.

  9. May you guys mention the withdrawals you have been going through ?
I had a horrible withdrawals in the current streak as well as the last couple of streaks, which are the best progress I have been through since years. But I was not sure whether they are all withdrawals until I visited different Doctors and all they said in different way (I have anxiety and stress). The symptoms were variable and not bearable in sometimes:
    • High stress.
    • Fatigue in whole body.
    • Breathless.
    • Headaches, mild to sever.
    • Sleepy eyes.
    • flu like symptoms (not much).
    • Muscle pain.
    • Fast heart beats.
    • Anxiety...it's awful.
    • Clogged ears.
    • Testicle pain.
    • Insomnia
In the previous streaks I had :-
    • Testicle pain.
    • Sudden Blurred vision / Vision uncomfortability (Stress cause).

My blood tests were fine, Zinc level was over high (thought it would be at minimum due PMO). Vitamin D has improved from Insufficient to Normal.

Also to those who got into high streaks, how much does it take for the withdrawals to go away ?

Flu like symptoms, headaches, joints and muscle pain, fatigue and insomnia followed by wild mood swings, depression, social and general anxiety and finally anhedonia. That's pretty much it.

1st part 3-4 months, second part +6 months (still have problems with insomnia, occasional depression & anxiety and anhedonia but this symptoms started to gradually improve past 6 month mark and still do).

I read that a lot of people benefit from mindfulness practices and meditation. Also, having a compelling vision for your life that you look forward to and take action to make a reality has been shown to be the most effective at keeping dark thoughts at bay. I feel that we have to be aware of our thoughts but that doesn't mean we have to react to everyone of them. Especially the anxiety inducing ones.

This is interesting. There's a lot of buzz around how CBD oil binds with CNS receptors and there are tons of people claiming it has helped them tremendously with anxiety. I think its worth looking into. I use it at bedtime to keep my system calm. It definitely works for me.

I’m sorry to hear that. Glad your getting through it. What symptoms did you have? It’s good you were able to take off work. I feel like I need LOTS of rest and I keep pushing myself to work, and I have a wife and kids at home, and I mow a couple yards for extra money too. So I wish I could lay up in bed awhile and sleep all day to speed up some healing.

I have had the withdrawls mentioned above also. My stress and anxiety has improved drastically the last couple days, for sure. The depression isn’t as dark as it was last week either. Still there some. But also can be situational depression. I am really unhappy with my current job and shift I work. Lots of things to work on around the house and burnt out. I am praying for peace and contentment.

But my main symptom at the moment is FATIGUE. I’m so exhausted even sleeping 7 hours. I can’t get much more than that with my job. I can’t hardly stay awake sometimes if I sit down.

Brian fog has improved as well for now. Depersonalization has improved too.

I’m having some acid reflux symptoms but I have had some in the past. Don’t think it’s related to PMO. I eat entirely too fast and don’t chew properly. My diet isn’t horrible, but not clean either.

Basically every withdrawal symptoms you could think up i had at one stage during early recovery. I do still work and some weeks are quite busy for me (i run my own business), but im fortunate enough to take time off for the days when im feeling really bad. If you can find the time i would recommend trying to take 20-30 minute naps a day. Sometimes they have helped me a lot.

Mine is the same story. Had 2 separate 100+ plus streak, followed by several months of binge fapping. The current streak is the long I have gone in the past 6 months.

Lets us not forget our mistakes and learn from it. Months of disciplined progress can be destroyed with 1 day of indiscipline.
