I have biases point of views.
    1) I think I am just depressed that's y I am not getting energy to watch porn and do masturbate. I feel it's more of a condition rather than a choice.
    2) one does willingly that he won't do pmo.

In both cases suppose person reaches 90 day target but the implications on ones mental will be different in both cases.

So, does no pmo actually does any benefit to the one in first category. Or it's just all in the mind.
Just like masturbation is made as hypo that it is healthy... Aren't we doing the same type of hypo that it's not healthy.

PS: Since I am in condition 1 and I want to leave this habit. I just want to know the opinions that whether nopmo nofap has as much benefits as we have hyped ( or may be not hyped .. m just saying).

It all depends on where you stand. If you have problem with compulsive use of pornography and/or masturbation choosing NoFap is a no brainer. Not because it will cure your depression, it won't, but because compulsive addictive behaviours are damaging to ones mental and physical health as they tend to progress over time. If you don't have problems with masturbation or viewing pornography in a controlled manner (moderation), then it's totally up to you what you'd like to do. 90-95 % of population has no problem with occasional viewing of explicit material, masturbation. Most of us on this forum fall into unfortunate 5-10 % category which can't do it in moderation. You alone know best in which category you belong. Saint Augustine once wrote: "Complete abstinence is easier than perfect moderation." I'd always choose perfect moderation over abstinence if I had a choice, unfortunately I don't, so abstinence is the second best option.

  3. Not everything is okay in moderation. Cyanide for example.

I think abstinence from pornography is the best option for everyone, addicted or not.

That's exactly what I needed to hear this morning. Thank you.

  5. The actual science behind nofap is that the excessive amounts of porn and masturbation damage the receptors in your brain by overloading it with too much dopamine. This trains your brain to need something as exciting as porn in order to please you and as you continue to do so, the need only strengthens, which is why many porn addicts eventually go on to watch more extreme types of porn such as BDSM in order to satisfy them. This causes normal daily activities such as working out to be seen as boring, hard and tedious. It basically makes you less happier and kills your motivation, thus causing other problems such as depression and anxiety.
