Magnesium deficiency can cause muscle twitching and spasms, as well as poor mood. I know from personal experience that this affects me, and I've been found to have a serious deficiency from blood tests. Correcting with supplements (or even injections) didn't work - the only thing that has, is (you guessed it) abstinence from PMO.

In terms of the joint aches and pains, this may be due to an impaired immune system - have you ever noticed that when you get flu, your joints will ache? When I've had a serious PMO binge I get the symptoms of mild flu - achey joints, running nose, and sensitivity to noise, light, smell etc for days after. This is just my amateur theory, but I think that the immune system takes a hit with PMO.

PMO drains the life and vitality from you, which can potentially affect all aspects of your health and wellbeing. That might sound like vague hippy-dippy nonsense to a lot of people, but if you've experienced it for yourself, and you know what to look for, it seems pretty obvious - shame it took me 25 years for the penny to drop... I'm sure science will be there to validate this idea in time, but as I've said elsewhere, it could be a long time in the making.

you know, that is about right for me, too.

what you are experiencing is WITHDRAWL. the withdrawl is HARMFUL. it is both physical and psychological withdrawl and it is powerful.

but also demons will try to convince you it is bad for you and will make you feel exhausted to frustrate you.

what is happening is, as your metabolism increases, stored fat, glycogen is being dumped into blood , your blood is running rich like a gas engine. you should try to not eat as much, exercise

It's not withdrawals these symptoms have been with me for some years now.

I have only quit PMO 3 weeks ago.

lads remember that we are all kings inside, and a SICK king is STILL a king... only that some people will try to do deposition on us lol.

what I am afraid now is that after long streaks of NoFap I started having we dreams, I relapsed after 120 days and this was somewhat planned [1 orgasm with escort , 5 to porn regrettably] I thought I reset my urges and was ok to start again and then relapsed on 15 day why ? because I was feeling worse on that 15 day due to constant wet dreams that were KILLING my energy and I wasnt aware what was going on, why my energy is not jumping back?
So I risked it and gave it a full reset with 2 additional days with 4 orgasms to porn. This addiction is still there, its so easy to jump back - so tempting.

But now I have physical symptoms, anxiety, stress, emotional, nervous, physically tired. Its like WORSE than 2 years ago when I was masturbating much more often. WHY?
Im 36, before I was 34 its not that much of a difference especially as I see other people living unhealthy not being aware of any of this.

My biggest fear now is that even that I made this bad reset my wet dreams will also continue and I will be permanently/constantly losing energy.

  6. I think intestines might play a bigger role in this than we might admit. Since PMO affects the central nervous system, it also affects the bowel movement. When I've PMO'd I've got constipation and loose stool for a long while after. This means that our bodies might not properly absorb all the necessary nutrients from food. Couple this with semen deficiency which also contains many important nutrients, our bodies might be in a serious deficiency. Now, this might not be a serious thing in a short time span, but over the years and decades it can play a crucial part in one's wellbeing as the body is in a constant state of mineral and nutrient deficiency. Kinda like a hollow shell feeling that PMO gives, only literally.

  7. As wells the kidneys, the sexual organs, and the adrenal glands. I can feel my sexual organs and gut getting healed bit by bit. Constipation come back and forth. That shit block my back for months. I can hear the nerves cracking my back and head when I'm peeing. Pmo is not something to play with...

I just cringe when people argue about the effects of long term PMO. Us long term or hardcore abusers have all the proof we need from our own selves. When I look back now it all makes sense. 37 years ago in school I wondered why I could never concentrate or couldn't remember things.
My whole adult life I've always been tired and had low energy, but doctors could never find anything out of whack when they tested me.
I've had vision issues, tinnitus, brain fog, concentration issues, struggle with memory, digestive problems.
Do I believe every health issue I have is PMO related? No, but I believe 43 years of abuse probably hasn't helped and indeed has been a major source of many of my issues.

  9. You must accept the fact that PMO is no longer a suitable lifestyle for you to live. Simply put, you've drained your body and it won't tolerate it anymore. Take this as a good thing since you simply can't do it anymore, and thus the only option is to quit it entirely for the rest of your life or otherwise you'll end up damaging your brain even more and possibly risk a life threatening issue. Look up kindling on the forums. It's when each subsequent relapse will become worse. Alcohol and drug users have died to it. No drug is that good.

I want to ask you, since I am almost 12 months no MO. You say you feel the glands are getting cured day by day. The sexual organ, yes, I can definitely feel that but the glands not sure how. I am sure I will need another year because I am still having dopamine deficiency like mood swings, low energy, low sex drive, although the anxiety, sleepless nights, anxiousness and weight loss did subside.

I am not sure about other people but I got up to 315 lbs while I was under the fapping brain fog. Once I stopped for the first three months I literally dropped down to 260 lbs on my word. I couldn't believe how fast it was coming off, most likely due to dopamine crashing and then on top of that all the horrible symptoms. I feared going on airplanes the beginning fo the year or driving by myself for too long because of these symptoms. I just finished driving over 450 miles from WI To IL and I have gone on multiple flights on my own. The dopamine symptoms really do wreak havoc. I actually started gaining again around a month or two ago because some symptoms subsided, so I am not back up to 280. Trying to keep working out and get lower though.

Wow! I literally mirror what you said in the first paragraph. I was abusing it for awhile as well up until last year. All those symptoms you mention, I could never understand why I couldn't do good in school, remember things, tinnitus (which has FINALLY subsided), floaters however will most likely remain as they can not retract at this point. I would bloat so bad after just a small meal or a beer or two as well. That is all gone now. I tried to work out so HARD in my twenties to reach my goals and always struggled and wondered why. If I could go back and stop it then I mean the benefits would have been unbelievable for me. Always moody with my friends as well and not social most of the time we went out either.

My deficiency must have gotten real bad because I combined it with hard
I thought floaters do go away eventually?

Especially if they are caused by a mineral or vitamin deficiency

I hope so! I am on Vitamin D but stopped because I was in the Sun so much this summer. Back on 5K a day now and hopefully within six months we see where the levels are at. Zinc has gone up but needs to get higher. Taking Omega fish oil which my Optometrist proposed I take for dry eyes. He knows I have the floaters but never asked any questions why.

  14. Since fatigue can be caused by adrenal glands and affected our sexual health, so I attributed to that and each month I've noticed a decrease in tiredness. I could be wrong though...
Sometimes I could barely move due to back pain. Feel like the muscles and nerves are under operation and a lot tensions in the body also. It's kinda weird how to explain what's going on... For instance, when I'm peeing I could feel head tingling sensation from nerves.

My sleep improved drastically after the first 2 weeks, which had a positive effect on pretty much every other symptom I was dealing with. From about 3.5-4 weeks onwards I felt great

Completely agree with recommending all of these supplements. I take fish oils fir fatty acids, a multivitamin and 5htp to help deal with urges and impulse control. Combined with a healthy balanced diet these can work wonders to make you feel better and have more energy for pursuing productive goals instead of pmo. Nutrition is a key part of this journey I believe

Yes, that's what I think, too. Immune system is quite sensitive to what we even do not know. Just my guess/experience, no science behind it.

And, well, I have to count the self-exploitation into the equation. PMOing till late night/morning to chase away my exhaustion after a hard day. Was I really thinking giving myself three hours’ sleep could be any helpful to recover from an exhaustion?! Indeed, I wasn't. Just was driven by my silly mind… Or when home alone for being sick. PMOing even with severe fever… Like the more exhausted I was the more I tend to exhaust me even further by PMOing. Mental illness so to say… And then workaholism adds to it from not being able to accomplish my duties in time. No time for physical/psychical recovering, basically. Nothing good for the immune system at all!

Sometimes an alternative comes into my mind that we might misplace the cause for the consequence here. What if all those “symptoms” are just what we are inside and what actually makes us so vulnerable to P-addiction. What if we simply do not feel ourselves comparable enough as to our school abilities etc. with others so that we run out into our addiction. (And you would not definitely call me a looser as to my education or carrier; yet still I know the feelings you are talking about so well).

That way, quitting PMO would mean getting back to those feelings rather than leaving them behind us forever. Then it would only mean entering PA just turned out to be a false strategy to cope with this and we have to find another, healthier way to accept our weaknesses.

So what I mean is just to be prepared that these symptoms will not leave me when I quit PMO and if this is the case stay without PMO anyway and accept that I am just not as physically healthy or mentally strong as I wish to be. And find a way to enjoy the good parts of my life (and there are many of them).

Thats exactly my plan Im fighting this violently since last 4 years, Im getting better and better - last streaks are like 70 days, 64, 46, 120... but the losing energy through wet dreams is a new thing.

I agree with you on those thoughts. While I am One year MO free, I do still have my inadequacies to deal with and my attitude. I believe I had more symptoms there for a long time but in the course of all my PMO I believe I may have been able to shed a few.
