Problem w/ Girls @ the Gym (trigger warning)

Discussion in 'Compulsive Sexual Behavior' started by questtocure, Aug 20, 2019.

  1. You’re being ridiculous. A woman wears work out clothes to the gym and she’s objectifying herself? Olympic gymnasts, wear leotards which aren’t even clothing and no pants bc it’s easier for them to perform routines and practice in and win gold medals. Are they objectifying themselves? Competitive swimmers spend a lot of time in bathing suits. Again not clothing. Are they objectifying themselves bc they’re not in a T-shirt and shorts? How about a ballet dancer, jumping around in a leotard and tights. Are they objectifying themselves? Western women who aren’t wearing T-shirt’s and shorts are objectifying themselves when they’re exercising, performing or practicing. They have the nerve to wear something that’s easy to move in.

Would you tell a gymnast who showed up to practice in a leotard that she’s objectifying herself and needs to put on a T-shirt and shorts like a man. Yeah, you probably would.

Gymnasts, swimmers, cyclists NEED tight clothing. More so, the material is thicker than skimpy yoga pants. Women working out in the gym do NOT need it. How hard is that to understand? Since men are perfectly fine working out in decent clothes like shorts and a loose fitting t-shirt, women are also capable to use them.

More so, tight clothes are not comfortable at all.

Yes, women wearing such clothing in other situations except sports that require it are doing so to get attention and are objectifying themselves.

    Stop being a white knight.

There’s also a thing called the “three second rule” - it mostly works. Best thing is to try to shut it of. That said I was in NYC yesterday and was utterly trigger by a pair of braless breasts w protruding eraser nipples that GOT MY ATTENTION. Almost slipped last night. Almost slipped - but I DID NOT. The wolf is always at the door.

Um, so I learned two days in that I must wear tight tanks or I’m basically flashing every damn guy when I do push-ups, burpees, planks! I started with wearing very baggy clothes, not comfy doing cross fit with 39 plus people. It makes me really u ncomfortable either way tight or loose clothing because the damn men can’t keep their eyes/thoughts to themselves. It’s not all the men, just a select few who have problems. I avoid them like the plague as do the other women.

Some men are just uneducated pigs. I understand the need for somethimg tight for chest, thats why sports bras are necessary.

Other than that, women do not need different clothing than what men use.

The best thing to do is not go for the gym at all and do some exercises at home. Not only that, but you get to save money in the long run.

Lol, not sure what gym u go to but everyone walking out of mine is dripping sweat... ewww. and after an hour looks like we had a bad shower! No one looks attractive!

  10. Well I go to college. So that's probably the explanation. Most of the attractive women just stretch in the middle of the floor so that everyone can see them. They also don't really lift anything or exert themselves in any way.

Fap or NoFap I want woman to continue wearing yoga pants and sports bras. I think any guy here complaining about it maybe needs to seek psychological therapy. Its up to us as men to control our own thoughts and we cant blame any female for "trigerring" us because all you need to do is divert your gaze. If a man continues staring and gawking so that he can "mentally record" it for a later fap session then that is his own fault.

Else it is like saying that the Brinks armored truck has triggered me to go rob a bank by flashing those duffel bags full of money in front of me. Anyone who jacks off has nobody to blame except himself. This is a question of self-mastery and self-discipline to just look for 1 second and divert your gaze. It is very simple.

BTW: I fapped last night and threw away almost 7 days. And it was a girl in yoga pants/sports bra that I was thinking about when I did the deed. But even in spite of that I have no blame for the girl,....... it was MY OWN FAULT for indulging those lecherous thoughts and fantasies and this led to edging and well....You know the rest.

You don't have to look away. You're fighting an uphill battle because you are fighting against nature. When you watch porn online, you get addicted to "virtual" women and your brain interprets this as you having actual sex with the virtual women. Your brain stops responding to "real" women which is why so many people become impotent when watching porn. You should be giving yourself a pat on the back... The fact that scantily clad women in real life make you horny is a good thing. That means your reboot is working. But it also means there's more work to do. This is a trigger, so learn to overcome it. Avoiding it won't fix anything. Look, but don't dwell. It's okay to admire someone's body and you can still respect that person in your mind and actions. Take this as an opportunity to learn how to control your thoughts. If sexual thoughts come into your head... Recognize them, and then move on. Think about something else.

My father once told me, "Look once, your a man. Look twice, your not a husband." The older I've gotten the more I've realized there is truth to this. Being visually stimulated is part of being a man.

Nothing wrong with a little eye-candy, but try talking to them! You'll find that women are so much more special! :)

I am saying this as someone who has approach anxiety, but I my attitude changed once I started talking with them.

    Good luck to you!

The OP's complaint is absolutely valid and its one of a bunch of reasons I quit working out at a local gym.

Being a whiteknight for women doesn't make you a better man. Women dress like borderline sex workers these days. Tits out, mini skirts, tight pants etc. This is typical objectifying behavior and no, i don't want women to dress like that because the society becomes role model for children and for my future children too.

Women now have 0 modesty and white knights like you toot their horn.

    Maybe you're a pervert, i'm not.

I am part of a cycling meetup and we all wear spandex shorts. 90% of the group is men. Its not because we want to show off our ass and thighs......its because spandex is a convenient and functional garment from exercise. I see guys on this thread continue to have delusions that women are doing it "just to make you horny".

Im not white-knighting it. I like to look at it. And Im going to be pissed if women 100% stopped wearing yoga pants overnight. Is that the world you guys want to see? Woman in turtlenecks and baggy pants? There is a place where men think like that and its called the Middle East and all the women there are in burkas and long robes. Is that what you are campaigning for?

If they are doing it because they can get a better workout or just find it comfortable, so be it. However, that's not what most of them at my gym are doing. Wearing yoga pants 3 sizes to small isn't comfortable (I imagine) and they are not even remotely trying to get a good workout. Usually they are trying to figure out how to bend over and display themselves in front of the desirable males as much as possible (deadlift with light weight often). Obviously its my problem how I react and I should hold myself, not them, accountable as I can only change myself, but I don't think they are totally innocent, they are tempting us 100% on purpose.

Note: this post is not attacking you, simply making an observation.
