Another failed streak...

I pray for you!!! Be aware everytime, the urge comes suddenly without notice. So the longer you stay without PMO the stronger the urge can come. I think at least one year is the minimum period you should consider for the urge getting stronger or getting different (but not weaker) by staying without PMO. Cause of a bad scandalous art movie I watched yesterday in TV for a short time I had to fight against urges last night and this day until my accountability partner wrote me an email that makes me strong again! It was very close to relapse, but I managed it with his help. 1000 thanks to his adress! So if you want you can take me as accountability partner too and / or join my quarter for God - this means staying together for three month until years and to be stronger together than alone.

 

Do not feel regretful or ashamed! For those who believe what Christ did for us on the cross, spilling His blood for us, taking ALL of our sin (shame, regret, etc...) and giving us ALL of His righteousness, being buried in the tomb and rising three days later in Glory, we have been made into a new creation and the old has passed away! Hallelujah to our Risen King! When Jesus says "Follow me", it is never easy. We must go to the cross daily for nourishment and walk in the Spirit.

Hebrews 12:2 - Keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith.

Lord, I pray for RebootingProtestant now, that they keep and fix their eyes on You, the source and perfecter of our faith. I ask that You ease their mind and lift this burden off of them so that they can live as the new creation You have made us. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, guide them back to Your cross daily for nourishment so they may be able to walk in the Spirit. I ask these in Jesus' name, Amen!

 

The temptation can come at any time; we do not control that. But what within you did the temptation latch onto in order to drag you down? There had to be something within you that wanted what the temptation was offering. *That* is what you can address. Rid your heart and mind of the desire for illicit, godless comforts. You do this by replacing those weak, sinful desires with better ones for the true sustenance offered by God. This requires trust in God and his promises -- and trust takes time.

There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Onward!
