I have found that using social media pointlessly has led to most of my relapses. I have found that just completely removing them from your life is the best option. Sure you will be bored for the first week or two not pointlessly scrolling through feeds, but what are you really gaining from seeing peoples lives that you don't care about. Read a book, go exercise , or go out and have real life experiences. If you actually care about someone and want to know what is going on in their life text them or call them, or even better go meet them and talk in person.

  2. This is a redpill. Sucks for all the people who have to learn to not use social media. I never had any friends so I never had a use for it :p

  3. Social media lead to my last relapse in recent memory. I have considered deleting my account but I don't have the strength to do it. I am cracking down on social media use because 1: porn urges and 2: I don't have much time to mess around anymore.

  4. For sure. I quit all social media years back except instagram which i kept until several months back. I was trying to abstain from PMO and instagram would lead me back to PMO. Too many big assed, big titted, almost nude women posing amd twerking, etc. It was impossible for me to see that stuff and not relapse back to porn.

Agreed. Cause on explore pages, girls revealing themselves tends to show up and then you get horny and it just gets worse from there. I only have them to hit up people i know. I don't use many of them much. I use Facebook to sign into video games.

  6. To me, social media just looks like pornhub #2. Seriously, what is the benefit of using it? I call mothafuckas if I want to stay connected to them. Literally 99% of it is just chicks advertising their bodies. Even the older women are doing it now.

  7. I deleted all my social media long ago. Thing is basically EVERYONE uses social media, so I'm being forced to redownload some purely for academic purposes (group chats, for organisation etc). Here's to hoping I can refuse the urge to go back to using them for anything that isn't strictly necessary.

I try to stick to group me for school and class groupchats for homework and projects and whatnot

  9. Same, but when everyone else agrees basically immediately to use Instagram I don't be to be THAT GUY and go "nooo, me no likey". I've settled on using some dumb meme name and following no-one, I'll just delete the account when the project is over.

  10. I dont think deleting social media is the awnser.. it's a normal part of everyone life now a days.. we need to cure ourselves without destroying ourselves..

We need to learn how to use social media without relapcing. Easier said than done but what are you going to do next? Live in a moutain isolated? You are suppose to get rid of pmo without destroying your social life. And want it or not social media is a important thing in society right now. You are going to be more isolated and that is not a good thing.

Dont follow hot models, etc. Delete the friends you added just cause their hot. Stick to your actual friends and pages of interest you followed. Dont click on a link when you think this is obviously leading to P. Dont search for soft P.

But keep your social media and learn how to use it while controlling triggers it may cause.

    Good luck!

  11. I agree that if people still desire to use social media, then they need to find a way to use it in a manner that doesnt trigger PMO issues.
The thought that social media is important is subjective. Even taking PMO out of the equation, the decision to no longer use and entertain social media was one of the best moves Ive made. Im speaking from my personal experience, as other peoples experiences and preferances will obviously vary. In addition to myself, I know several other people who have also put social media in their past and do not regret their decision.
