Hello guys, this is my first post here. I'm gonna share with you my 100 day abstinence journey and how you can incorporate it too(I know how hard it is for most of you, been there myself). Warning: long post.

So, little background. I consciously decided to abstain from PMO about 1.5 years ago. But you know, it's not that easy. I constantly started and relapsed, took some break from nofap for a while and started over again. The longest I've gone before this one is 23 days(if I'm not mistaken).

The reason why I started this journey in the first place is because I've experienced severe anxiety and depression issues, I've read tons of success stories and knew that I had to give it a shot. But as it often happens, I failed multiple times over.

I'm not gonna start a discussion about whether masturbation and porn are good or not. It's by no means natural and it's making your life miserable(if you're feeling good fapping then you're only gonna improve your life tenfold once you take the plunge).

But let's just say the reason why some people don't experience benefits from nofap is because they look at it totally wrong. Nofap is not a magic pill, it's a tool. It's an opportunity. Opportunity to change your life, become the best version of yourself. But if you expect your life to suddenly turn around just because you're NoFap and maintaining the same lifestyle, you're going to fail. Fail miserably.

First of all, it's not nofap that is so important. It's semen retention. Yes, NoFap is way better than fapping and/or having sex. But more on a psychological level.

People who are making excuses on nofap say that semen doesn't contain that much nutrients, they can quickly gain it with food(haha). Think about it yourself, how complicated is "life" on itself. How complicated is your brain, your body, your emotions? Semen has the power to create life. You have no idea how powerful that is. So it's not just about the crazy amount of nutrients it contains, it's also about the energy required to produce these nutrients. With ejaculation you're loosing part of your "life energy".

Let's just say that nature didn't expect us to create condoms and be able to do the abortions. Sex was never designed for pleasure, it was designed to create life. The problem is that we are being brainwashed that regular sex(and fap) is totally normal and natural(though the most successful people abstain from it, look it up yourself).

But I get it, desire for sex is very strong. It's the strongest man's instinct. But after 90 days of abstinence you will look at it in totally different way. And I'm gonna show you how.

First of all, Fapping is more of a psychological addiction, so we will start from here.

Number 1 thing that finally helped me to beat my urges was affirmations. I know this may sound ridiculous and totally out of mind, but this works. You see, your subconscious mind is way stronger than your conscious, so we will start by taking control over it.

How do you do it? It's simple as hell. You just say it out loud. Things like "I do not masturbate. I do not watch porn. I do not touch my penis. I don't think about porn/masturbation." Say it with a serious and normal tonality, like if you were saying your age. Some of you may laugh at this, but it really works. You have to do these affirmations every day(10-15 times each) and start seeing the difference. The first day or two you can start with 100 repetitions. Set a reminder for that, do that on a daily basis for at least first 40-60 days. Change the way you think, your identity. Once accomplished, psychological part will be mostly eliminated.

Another one, don't count the days. Just set a reminder for a particular milestone. Counting days will make you fail.

Don't do this for girls, you're gonna fail too. Do it for yourself, for your best version of yourself.

I wish it was enough but no, it wasn't. With abstinence you will gain an enormous amount of energy so you will have to use it or you will explode(in your case relapse).

Most essential habit for nofap is meditation. Again, you must do it regularly, put it on calendar. Start with just 3-5 minutes a day(first 20-30 days), after the habit sticks a bit, go to 10-20 minutes(you can do more if you wish, you're gonna experience bunch of other benefits, but this amount is enough for nofap).

Cold showers help a lot, first thing in the morning. I do 15 seconds ice cold, 15 second warm for 7-9 times. If you're feeling an urge, run to the shower and turn on the ice cold for 30 seconds. Urge is gone.

Regular exercising is must too. Last 5 month I wasn't going to the gym, so doing regular home workouts is just fine to begin with(but gym and other facilities are more preferable).

Healthy nutrition, try to eliminate sugar and bad fats. It all helps a lot. I would also advise reading, but this is not a must habit for nofap. It's a life changer for me too, but this is not about it here. Start by reading "Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill". It will get you started on your self-development journey.

Get rid of the all possible triggers(other people say about that a lot, it's essential too). All nudes, social media apps with sexy girls, etc. I personally deleted Instagram(90% of my social media consumption was there). Life is much better without it.

First time it's gonna be difficult. Your body and mind are like wtf, so many changes. It will make your feel bad sometimes(couple of times maybe) but once you get through this, it feels amazing. I also recommend you limiting your media consumption and screen time in general(for me it's youtube mostly).

And here is the strange part. For the most guys, who are fapping, insecure, gaming for 10 hours a day(been there), sitting all day bingeing Netflix, social media and etc. this may sound extreme. The biggest advantage of nofap is that it allows you to actually do that. You will have the motivation, you will have the desire, you will want improve and most importantly: you're gonna love it!

So, now let's talk about benefits.

Social anxiety is gone, depression is gone(again, you need to eventually withdraw from unhealthy lifestyle to get rid of the depression).

I'm very confident, my voice got much deeper, hair is awesome. I don't give a fuck about what other people say about me(part of the affirmations too), I'm not afraid to speak loudly and express my thoughts. I don't look around to see if I'm alone with somebody so that nobody can hear what I say. Even if I say something stupid and some people may laugh at it, I just don't care. This is the gold part here. I just don't give a fuck about them anymore, there is only me and nobody else.

I used to be sleepy after 8-9 hours. Now I'm good with 6 and more energised than with 9.

As for the attraction part, it's totally true. Everyday I catch a bunch of long stares, girls are drawn to me, they do what I say and I'm not feeling uncomfortable around them anymore. Guys feel it too, you get more respected and recognised. As for the social part, it improved a lot.

I have a very strong eye contact(you can practice it with the mirrior). Not intimidated by anyone.

Memory is way better. Things that took me 40 minutes to learn now take less than 10 minutes(no joke, I'm not exaggerating). I finally incorporated a lot of healthy habits: I'm reading a lot, meditating, exercising, waking up at 5.30, cold showers, podcasts and learning, working on my business and etc. Nofap gave me the energy and the power to finally do it and it's so much better than gaming and fapping 24/7. Taking some new habits too, but not all at once. You cannot develop everything at once, progress is a slow and gradual process, never forget this. For this read "Power of the Habit".

To sum up, it changed my life. Indirectly, at some point. But without nofap I wouldn't get so much clarity and dedication to take up a totally new lifestyle. I'm changing my life(at least I started doing it after first 50 days) and I'm gonna keep you posted on my further journey. It's only beginning, so my 1 year update is gonna be huge.

    Nofap hardmode vs having sex.

I know you want to have sex, but trust me, it's not worth it. Once you're completely withdrawn from sex and masturbation(reboot takes 2-12 months), you will understand why. You can still have sex with girls, but try hardmode for 90 days and see the difference.

Wish you best luck guys and hope this post helped you!

    Hello!

Thank you for your motivation, unfortunately, the world is full of fapping. Now I have been hardmode for 27 days, and I am doing pretty well. Two or three days before the start of the challenge, I started with the cold showers, I think I have been with the cold shower for a month and I'm doing the truth well. I started with the tap to the full extent of the cold water flow. Yesterday I resumed after almost a year without swimming, I swam 1500 meters in 40 minutes to croll. It is true that with the cold showers ... I felt that the pool water was hot when last year was not like that. And nothing, when I arrive 30 days I will write my motivation for this forum.

I really encourage it, and be a Spartan!

Keep it up! 27 days is great, you're about to have the hardest time. If you survive it, you're free from the addiction. It's about the toughest stage, give you best to resist

Bro,trust me, I used to be just the opposite!! Didn't work out, was insecure, cared too much and etc. But you can CHANGE your life, your indentity. One small step at a time. The affirmations I talked about work with other areas of your life. Technically I convinced myself of many different things so now as I started working on them, they actually became the reality. You can change too, start with a little step today! Wish you best luck

A big warm hug to you.
"People fail when they say I want to stop Fapping for 400 days" directly like as if they are gonna land on Jupiter tomorrow.
No plans,no analysis,no cleaning up of phone,no deletion of social media,no removal of dating site accounts and dating apps and all and they talk NoFap spent work for me and it's waste of time and NoFap is waste...these people don't put effort and ask for monk level comfort.
I very well know that you will be crushed and screwed by life before you get your results.
Remove urges is what I am gonna say and it cures 25% of your problem.25% is fixing urges with good habits 25%implementation of your plan and goal and rest 20% is helping people who are in the same level or addiction and 5% is intention and prayer to the holy miracle making universe. After all we are a small peck of dust. "God/Universe created man so that man can become god/universe again."
