Hi guys. Checking in, day 13/90

I feel a new sensation: I don't feel a battle against PMO now, I honestly don't want to do it anymore because I feel the positive effects. This morning I masturbated (I'm doing 90 days of no P) for a long time without P, and I fantasized about the girl I'm currently involved with. Just for a bit, then I stopped, took a shower (ending in a cold shower) and got on with my day. This feels like natural masturbation behavior to me, which I haven't experienced in ages.

Good thing to remember: This feeling will also pass, and there will be a moment, be it tomorrow, next week or next month, when it will be harder and there will be major urges again. We humans like to cling to things, the negative and the positive. Whenever I feel an urge I should face it head on and accept it for what it is, and sail right through it with a clear and present mind.

I hope the best for all of you. I spoke with a friend of mine who has kicked his alcohol and drugs habit about three years ago. He needed a clinic to achieve this. He said that kicking his addiction was the greatest gift he could have ever given himself. He is again the curious creative and loving person he originally was. This really struck a chord with me. Let's love ourselves (by loving anything in life really, be it another person or a thing you do) enough so we can also receive this gift.

Day 7! Or... I made it through 6 days, so I would say this is day 7 beginning. Or how do you count here?

Today is going to be a bit of a challenge, since I'll be working from home, alone, all day. And being online by myself for a whole day tends to screw with my brain. Is this familiar to anyone else?

Anyway, today'll be different, because I decide it will now.

Yes, this is a good lesson, that has been taking me a long time to learn. You have better days, but they don't last either, they get followed by worse days... and then it's very hard not to be extremely disappointed and taken aback by that. But it's unavoidable: everything goes up and down, the worse days get followed by better days again, and you just have to stay mindful and strong through everything. You can't expect the high to stay, because it won't. But a strong mind stays.

Don't hope, know! You have that strength, you've always had it and always will. It's just a matter of using it, which you're doing now and will keep doing far beyond the 30 day mark. Go for it!

One more day to 1/3 of this challenge
Just read something from a book, it said don't think that you're suffering for doing noFap, but you're achieving your goal.
Some people will fall because they think it is a suffering, then when they reached their goal, they "reward" themselves by allowing themselves to do that activity, which actually contradicts with their own goal.

I drank some wine on Saturday, otherwise I rest. Saw some hot pictures on Instagram, but nothing serious.

i recomment that you tell her. it´s better to find out from you, instead of finding out for herself, that will be a shock. plus if she understands that you have a health problem, she can support you and be a valuable partner on the path to recovery.

    Hey
    0/30
What tips do you have for sb who wants to quit porn? I had some streaks of 14 days and higher. My biggest one was 20 days. But right now I am stuck. At least I don´t binge. But I wonder how to leave porn fully behind. Even today on a good day I had a relapse.

recently our dearest Alexander (founder of Nofap) was in the TV show "the doctors" talking about porn addiction. now the industry is attacking him and the forum. So Alex filed a federal lawsuit to defend NOFAP. Let´s stand together brothers and chip in what we can. NOFAP need us now.

    266/290 Good Days (no relapse)
Longest streaks 67 then 51 (4 years later)
Current Challenge 16/90 (ends on my 1 year nofap anniversary)
    Day 90 weight training (3X/wk)
Day 29 reduced alcohol, caffeine and sugar
    - falling back down the slippery slope to enjoying caffeinated tea and coffee as well as desserts which is why this number above hasn't changed in some time
    - it's not seeming to effect my streak though which is good ... Mostly effects my sleep
    - I am doing well with almost no alcohol in my life and that has really helped me avoid PMO as I do mostly when hungover or late at night upon returning home from the bars
    - keep clean brothers, it's worth the fight
    - your brother in this struggle
