I've been trying to quit fapping for past 4 weeks after 2 years of addiction. I keep relapsing i dont know what to do nothing is helping. My longest streak is 6 days but edging so i dont think thats special. Give me best tips to success and stop edging. Thanks!

  2. quick tips: delete all links, downloaded p and profiles. Unfollow 'hot' influencers and avoid anything hot or nsfw. put your computer where people can see you: windows are great. always have a list of others things to do when you feel the urge. tell someone about your problem. replace pmo with something usefull and satisfying. don't expect quick results; this is a life changing period. Good luck! (gotta run now)

    Hey man,

due to your addiction you got a weakened willpower. First step to leaving your addiction behind is to get back your willpower.
The will is something you have to train. You have to build up resistance against these urges.

There are some things that will help you:

    - do sport for 1 hour every day
    - eat healthy
    - meet friends, talk to people
    - reduce your smartphone and internet time
    - go out for a walk in nature
    - get sunlight

These are things which will strenghten your willpower.

Quitting Porn will bring up the emotions you numbed, this may be very scary, but hang on at this point. In most cases you will feel much better at around 55 days. This varies from person to person.

Fapping may not be an option in your thoughts. Don't think of women, don't watch them on instagram or any social media, avoid social media.

You have to build up a healthy lifestyle, doing your things with conciousness. Learn to control your focus. Focus on the things that are good for you. Never allow your thoughts to focus on sex or butts.

    Don't edge.

    You can do it! :)

Welcome to nofap! To add to what everyone else has stated, definitely find ways to distract yourself - start working out or reading or pick up a hobby or something. Something to fill the time where you might otherwise fap.

I also find listening to classical music reduces my urges if I'm horny.

I also recommend wearing briefs instead of boxers if you don't already.

    Welcome to the Nofap community.
The No PMO journey is not easy but worth the effort.
    The community will support you.

I see your sincere effort to get rid of addiction. 6 days of no PMO is great. Maybe you want to install a day counter and make some commitment (like 14 or 30 days of NOPMO) - not to the community but to yourself.

What always helps me to fight against the urges: encouraging other fapstronauts here in the forums. You are much stronger than you think.

In the most basic terms (and I KNOW its easier said than done,) Keep your hand off your penis. Sounds too simple, and I've obviously struggled with that myself or else I wouldnt be here. But to stop masturbating, you have to stop edging. And to stop edging, you have to stop touching yourself, at all. I've realized I've had a habit of keeping my hand close to or on my penis for YEARS, and it probably has been there since I was a kid. And I dont mean in public or anything like that of course, but at home, in private. If I'm sitting at computer, or on couch to take nap, or getting into bed, or whatever, I'd realize my hand is down there. Keep it away, at all costs. Just stop touching yourself. There are lots more things to do that can help, and I encourage you to take the advice others have given. But in its most basic form, just got to stop touching. Its a first step, but ultimately, maybe the most important.

    Good luck!

Hey man! I know how easy it is to be angry at yourself. You want to hold yourself accountable, and when you fail time and time again, you get tired of the fight and get pissed at yourself. I know, that's been me so many times.

However, please don't be so hard on yourself and don't lose hope. I know guys who were addicted for over 40 years before they finally quit. Everyone's timeline is different. I myself am 21 and quitting PMO has been an ongoing struggle since age 13. Results are not immediate. Addiction is a serious challenge, and you can't expect to beat it in no time. Just remind yourself that NoFap is not a single battle: it's a war. And winning a war means some battles won and some battles lost. Just don't lose hope. You CAN do this.

In terms of advice, I'll tell you something I just started doing that, in my opinion, has given me a better chance of winning the war than anything else I've tried thus far. I have an accountability partner and we've worked out a deal where anytime I PMO, we both have to fast together for 24 hours. So if I masturbate, I text him, and from that moment we go the next 24 hours only eating two food items. This has worked well for me because, not only do I hate fasting, but I dread having to make someone else fast and inconveniencing them. So my ability to resist temptation has been stronger than ever.

If you think this is something that would work for you too, I'd recommend giving it a try. However, whatever you do, take a multi-faceted approach. If you use my fast idea, don't JUST do that: get a porn filter, join an in-person porn accountability group (many churches have them) and write a NoFap journals as well, for example. When you have more than one safeguard in place, it makes the war against PMO so much more effective.

Good luck my friend! Saying a prayer for you. If you wanna chat about anything, feel free to send me a message. :)
