Hey everyone . im a currency (forex) trader , 32 years old . ive been trading for seven years . i dont know if any other trader is out here or not ,

In this thread i like to talk about trading and nofap and the realition between the two , since trading is a psychological game and you need a lot of confidence and self belife in it , i belive nofap and semen retention will play a big role for being successful in this field .

I will write my own expriences about this topic , i will be glad if any other trader join me here and we share our thoughts and expriences

( and sorry for my weak English )

Hey there bro. I trade forex too, not the best but on my way to it and retention/Nofap is definitely a big part of my trading journey. Currently flatlining but I briefly remember the amount of motivation I had sometime ago.
    P.S.
Being on flatline is worse than I was fapping in terms of trading and general life.

Hi I trade stocks and options but have had a series of losers lately. Losses so bad that they wiped out my gains of the entire year and left me in the negative now. I basically would have been better off if I had not made a single trade AT ALL. In fact i got so disillusioned that I began to doubt my skills and my judgement and i think I am going to hang up my boots once and for all. I mean QUIT TRADING.

It is sad because I was really excited about it and devoted so much time to learning the Technical Analysis and so forth but I am frequently wrong in my predictions and the few times I was right I ended up getting stopped out and then the next day the stock took off TO THE MOON and I was no longer in the position (because I had been shaken out of the position by a blip that triggered my stop-loss).

I would have made more money if I had been working at McDonalds flipping burgers. I am not being sarcastic, I mean that I have LOST more money than I made this year and also in 2018. It is very depressing to have spent hundreds and hundreds of hours in study and watching the screens....all that work and all that effort and to have LOST more money than if I had just stayed in bed watching television and done absolutely nothing.

And of course I turned to fapping and to drinking alcohol to try to feel better. But I have lost all my confidence in my ability to trade and have wasted so many weeks and months of study and in the end I have to look in the mirror and admit that I am a failure at trading....that I dont know what the hell I am doing and my predictions are wrong about 75% of the time. Im glad to hear that you other guys are better at it than me and are actually turning a profit. But in my case I decided to quit about 1 week ago FOR GOOD and to learn computer programming instead.

I'm sorry, I mistakenly read your title as "socks" to begin with, and was gonna comment that this is probably not the best site to try selling your underwear! XD I know absolutely nothing about actual financial trading, though.

Hey bro, yes I am a trader but not forex, the U.S stock market. I’m getting the hang of it now getting consistently profitable. One thing I recommend is 80% control emotion and 20% of what you know. So try meditation before trading, cold showers...etc pretty much any habit that will make you take control of your over thinking mind. Also you gotta be a learning machine ty a dopamine detox just deleting distractions like social media and YouTube video and only focus only on videos and post that will make you a better trader. You have to understand that you need to work harder then everyone else to see results fast. Best of luck and peace.

By the way I’m 100 days in today on NoFAP and it’s one of the best habits I’ve implemented. It does help with not focusing on girls only focusing on your future and goals and time to time it gives me insane energy to get shit done.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I have ThinkorSwim so i am going to do some paper trading with a 100k simulation account. But if i blow up that 100k account then I will quit. I mean the 100k paper trading account. But yeah I dont want to just quit because I lost 400k of real money on 2008 when my father passed away and left me an inheritance and I lost 400k dollars of real money because of the real estate mortgage crisis and all the stocks that went bankrupt.

So the stock market owes me that money back.

I first found a great mentor which is Tim sykes he has a bunch of students and 6 millionaire students I would recommend him to you, by the way trading and investing is totally different when you said you first started with 400k and now 100k paper stimulation pretty much sounds like investing, I started with $790 studied for 6 months with my mentor and his students, started trading lost a little bit now I’m consistently profitable averaging about 50- 90 dollars a day I just started this summer I want to see how much I can grow my account and how much I can make in a day

    Hello,

I just came across this post, I am FX & Equities trader. I have been doing nofap and semen retention etc for the last month nearly successfully. Still need to post a success story as well.

However this caught my eye. I have felt that through nofap and semen retention my mind has become sharper and clearer and thus has reflected upon my trading ability and skills. I usually aim for around 50 - 60 pips per week as a goal, usually it used to take me a lot more time to analyse and calculate my entries.

However since starting nofap and semen retention I see the entries more clearly and it's like they are staring at me waiting to be taken. Usually my trades used to run long into the London session however now by around the first half of the London session I am done. This has meant that the rest of my days are free to do whatever I want. So yes I am seeing results from it.

Hope this helps others and will get round to writing a success story in the relevant section soon sharing experiences, what helped me stop etc to hopefully help others and motivate.

Trust me friend , Flatline is much better than fapping , fapping destroys trading , at least you have the energy , you dont need much sleep like a fapper . This week i relapsed on tursday , i was looking at porn pictures while the market got aggressive and i lost my strategy signals . i could have TP 2 hit very easily , . i just lost the oppurtunities because i was busy with porn pictures . and tomorrow of that , i couldnt wake up for London opening , because i needed to sleep a lot in order to recover that masturbation . so , dont even think that being in flatline is wrose . you definetily forget how shitty you feel while fapping and how you life become .

Hey Mate . i hope you are doing well , i am not a super star trader either , but i am not a loser , i can get some profit and i am still working on myself to better . some points that i found in your comment and i can talk about them a little maybe that would help you Bro .

1- you said you lost all your last year gain in just some trades . this is absolutely showing that your money management has some problems and you must work on this area of your trading . trust me , money mangement is more than just put 1% or 2 % in every trade , that is just textbook . there is a hell of a lot more to learn in this area .

2- If you have invested so many time in learning technical analysis and trading , it is absolutely wrong to just let go of all those hard work and quit . Mate , dont act emotionaly , this is about your life , this is one of those important decisions that will have a huge impact on your life . in my opinion , dont give up , and dont let all those time be useless , instead , take a little break . forget about trading for a while , and do whatever you want . then come back but not like before , be a swing trader . you can have a job while being a swing trader . it mean you trade 1 or 2 trades per month . this is very profitable also . you work on higher timeframes . at the end of this comment ill give you a good source to learn all these things and a lot more . the guy is dong a free job on youtube . he is a good guy , he is not my relative or someone i know . im not advertising at all .

3- you said you got stopped out and then the stock shot to the moon . that is one of the hard things that happens in trading . it shows something is wrong in your trading , maybe your stop is too tight , maybe you enter too soon ,your timing is wrong , anyway , you just need to study more , the one problem that all trader has is that they spend so much time trading and not studying . there are a lot of things to learn in trading .

All the traders , great ones or ordinary ones , had to go for a break from trading for some time . they decide to let go and quit at first and then came back , with more power . i read this in a trading book .

so dont be emotionaly down mate . every trader has to go through this phase in order to be successful . i quited trading 2 times . i never wanted to come back but here i am now , still trading

i hope this comment helps , sorry for my weak English , its not my first language

The source for learning all those stuff on youtube is the channel : UKSPREADBETTING

the guys name is Mark and he is absolutely one of the best , ive learnt a lot from him . ive watched over 800 videos of this channel

    Good luck

Hi i traded stocks, options, forex, futures and binaries for 8 years. I've lost nearly $100,000. I haven't traded for 4 years. What I have learned is that the second that you become emotional in your trading, you're done. I get excited when I think about putting on another trade. Right now, I am on indefinite hiatus, focusing on other goals.

You will take you money back from the markets , every great trader has once lost a lot of money in their life , just do the right job , study a lot , there are a lot of thing to study in markets . i mean dont just try to trade that demo account , it doesnt work that way ,

Thank you so much for encouragment , i needed to know this . i seriously believe that most of my drawdowns is because of the anxiety and depression i get from fapping . i get a lot depressed after fapping , and if the markets are quits , i just go to trade at those quit times because to get rid of my depression and have some excitments . fapping is seriously damaging my trading career ,

Finance has a lot of subsets , we are talking about The Trading Career in finance . Trading is very profitable and good job and has a lots of benefits but there are also a lot of cons

Some of the benefits : you have no boss , you can work from any where of the world , there are many traders who are living a traveling lifestyle while trading and making money , you can make a good amount of money ( but it depends on your capital )

Some of the Cons : the first thing is that it takes a lot of time to master trading , at least 2 or 3 years if you study and work hard , do not just think that you are different and you can master it sooner , it just doesnt happen . you will loss money in order to learn the skill . you will need capital for trading . only about 5 % of traders can successfuly make money from this career , 95 % lose money .

Anyway , if you want to learn trading , it is very good to have a day job at first years and while learn and study the skill . and whenever you see the results , you just leave your 9-5 job
