    Just a rant today really...

At least when I watched porn I still had a libido!

For both porn & real woman. (although it was decreasing for woman which got me on nofap journey)

I have no libido/flatline at all most of the time for porn OR woman now. Abstaining from jerking off or watching porn is EASY now.

Guess like they say when you're walking through hell...keep going!

I’ve seen the flatline stage reported by others on this forum. Seems to be a common phase in the journey. From what I remember, shortly after this phase is when people are vulnerable to relapse as well. Stay vigilant and keep fighting my friend, good luck!

He’s supposed to not have that reaction. The deeper you see women the more attractive they’re, the harder to keep it.

This is normal. You will get it back. It is because your brain is undergoing changes and healing.

  11. I want to hear from some one actually having the same problem I am. I’ve been going through this for months and have yet to find someone to recover.

Hey mate. I have the same issue and I was wondering if anyone was on the same boat as I am.

    Will my libido recover?

I can still perform sexually when it comes time to do it. I got off porn for only a month so far.
I just don’t get horny as much as I used to. My sexual drive feels like it’s been blunted.
Glad to know that someone shares this situation. I kind of see it as a blessing because I save time during the day without thinking abt sex as much as before. But at the same time, I understand that my libido is a driving force in life.

  13. Yes, same boat. From my understanding I haven’t seen anyone over the last few months recover their libido honestly. My advice is not to suppress your sexual energy ever again as it will make things worse. This whole nofap thing is bs.

I literally did this moments ago, and you're right, I end up relapsing. SIGH.

Flatlining is normal. Your sex drive was fucked up by years and years of P. Don't mess up your recovery by getting overly concerned about this. Like you said...keep going!

Nofap doesn't kill sex drive, it repairs it.

Most just don't give it long enough, they get to like day 30 or something and think wtf man this is taking too long, I'm just gonna go whack it to porn to kickstart my libido. So they do that, they feel some vague shred of horniness and think that's a good thing but it's not real and is only being temporarily propped up by the porn they're watching, once they're done they go back to a state of zero libido again and then probably come back here to cry that nofap broke them. No bro, you broke yourself and you're going to remain that way as long as you keep going back.

Your body is even making it easy for you, it's telling you to stop bombarding it with arousal. You've just got to accept that this shit may take a while, if you've been abusing your brain for 10-15 years then don't expect it to repair itself in 10-15 days, or even 10-15 weeks(you might get lucky that it only takes this long). Also don't be an idiot, when it does come back, that doesn't mean you're fully healed and good to go, it just means you've now got your head above water, there's still a way to go.

Another thing is that many guys seem to think that no porn just means no videos of dudes banging chicks. You need to quit it all. That means no looking at girls on insta, no swiping through tinder, no sexy music videos, no tiktoks, none of that shit. Girls on screens is what got you into this mess, they aren't getting you out of it.

  17. You took the words out of my mouth. Nofap is no magic pill as some people would like to think. It's a starting point. With all the free time available with abstaining from watching porn and fapping our lives away we can use that free time to improve ourselves.
    Well said bro

In addition to my story: after I started no porn, I kinda lost most urges to masturbate… which kind of concerned me, but I realized that I may have confused libido with my brains addiction for a dopamine hit from masturbating to porn.

I’ve been having sex with a girl, so I’ve been able to perform. However the frequency and intensity that I desire sex seems less than before. And that concerns me. Or maybe this is the healthy way to be?

  19. No, stop listening to these nut cases. You are abstaining yourself from your on sexual desires forcibly decreasing it. Its NOT NORMAL
