What's your current situation? Do you work? What's your routine?

  4. I'm a student and I dont do much except to study or play video games. I try to do productive things like exercising but I dont really have much time for it and sometimes the urges get stronger. Thankfully the urges are gone now, however, I am unsure if I can make it to 30days of nofap.

Daily meditation is your best defense as it teaches you how to dismiss thoughts instead of dwelling on them - this includes urges.
But don’t expect results right away, you have to do it every day for a few weeks before you start seeing the benefit. Then it becomes the obvious choice and you keep doing it.
I started meditating a year ago and have not stopped since.
The urges are much weaker nowadays thankfully.

Also on a side note, video games flood your brain with dopamine and can aggravate your pmo addiction. Try and find a different hobby like walking, hiking, or something physical that gets you away from the tv screens.

I liked you. Me - relapsed after read your post.

  7. I'm sorry if I made you relapse. Whether if you want to relapse it is in you hands not mine. I hope you manage to recover from this relapse.

  8. I'll try to limit the amount of time I play video games. I guess I just have to continue mediating until I feel the effects. Thank you for giving me advice.

Urges are nothing but your mind being split in two: You want to watch porn, but you also don't want to let yourself do it because you know it's bad. But the again you want to do something exciting with your free time, so your brain suggest porn again, you tell yourself no, etc. etc. That's what makes you feel bad, not knowing what to do next.

To not watch porn is actually very easy, no matter how addicted you are. All you need is a substitute that feels just as good. You need goals, ambitions. The thing is, you shouldn't have much free time at all once you set up the right goals in your life. Because there's just so much to do.
Meditation is nice and all, but it doesn't feel even remotely as exciting as watching porn. So that won't help you much.

Get on your life's quest. Figure out who and what you want to become. What profession. How rich. What kind of people. What kind of physique. Once you've set your big goals, break them down into smaller and smaller steps until you have steps that you can do right now. And then start doing them.
It will feel great, I promise. Because you activate your primal reward system in the brain, because you have a target and you pursue it.
Now when your brain suggests porn instead of telling yourself "no, never again, it's bad" and focus on all the negativity, just say to yourself "not right now, I'm busy with this thing, and after that I'm busy with the next".

Remember as long as porn is the best most exciting thing you do in your life, it's hard to tell yourself no.

  10. Interesting. I will start looking and working for a long term goal to get myself distracted from pmo. Thank you for replying.

  11. Do you have any hobbies that you are interested in and want to start, like reading or anything else? Those can take up some time for when the urges start affecting you.

Exactly. I am just on my 7th day. But goals and objectives and to think about what you want in life, how big you want it to be helps. It just keeps you driving towards the success you want. PMO becomes very less secondary then. I have started books like “Think big to get big”, “The magic of thinking big”. They help me keep focused and when you are focused, you won’t get much time in between 24 hours to PMO.

  13. Fill your day with activities. When you are sitting around doing nothing, you will get tons of urges.

Get off the video games and get out of the house around real things and people. Also ask yourself why you want to stop.

  15. Thank you all for replying. My current goal is to study hard and get good grades and my end goal is to be an indie game developer. I dont even think I like to play video games that much anymore so I'll try to stop playing them.
