Hi all any help will be highly appreciated i am in terrible situation . I got headaches amd dizzy feelings from sexual thoughts . Have anxiety thru out the day . I m on nofap 40 days no diferenence yet . Marriage in 3 months time very terrible time for me . Can any thing be helpful so tht i atleast feel normal during my wedding for eg l throsine etc

  2. I think some people here will disagree with me, but if you're really having bad anxiety during your wedding. Ask your doctor to prescribe you some oxazepam. It is the weakest benzo, but strong enough to calm you down and have a decent day. Just never make taking benzodizepines a habit. They will destroy your mind and body.

Can supplements like l thyrosine etc treat the situation

  4. Tyrosine did nothing for me. Maybe it's helping you. You could also try valerian root, chamomile or lemon balm. These are herbal supplements that can calm you down.

instead of benzos, just drink chamomile tea or horsetail tea, 3 teabags. they contain apigenin - natural ''benzo''... you'll save your health and not become addicted.
    nature has everything we need.

l-tyrosine [or its stronger better absorbed version n-acetyl-tyrosine ] is one of my go-to supplements when I need that quick dopamine boost [just make sure to take it on empty stomach as its amino acid]

hmm I think it might be the steroids use if it did nothing for you, as l-tyrosine is pretty strong tbh.. :emoji_thinking:

just stop thinking those thoughts man... c'mon :]

  8. Yea I mentioned chamomile as well. I would try the herbal route before the pharmaceuticals. Apigenin works pretty good for most people with virgin GABA receptors, same with valeric acid in valerian root that potentiates GABA, lemon balm increases GABA levels by inhibiting GABA transaminase enzyme and then there's lavender oil (like the CalmAid) supplement that blocks presynaptic calcium channels that drecreases excitation. They all work, but when someone is in severe dopamine withdrawal, I doubt they really calm you down enough. They might take the edge off tho.

N-acetyl-tyrosine worked for me in the past as a pre workout supplement. Before the whole addiction spiral started. Since my severe porn addiction the dopamine precursors don't do the trick anymore. My dopamine receptor density is declined because of the long PMO binging sessions. The increase in extracellular dopamine by tyrosine does not really have enough postsynaptic receptors to bind to, to give me an effect. My brain needs much more dopamine stimulation for me to feel a dopaminergic effect. Only synthetic dopaminergic drugs or sex/porn can do that to me (which makes the problem worse) Monoamine oxidase inhibitors also did not work.

Also real severe porn withdrawal is not all about low dopamine levels and low dopamine receptor expression. During withdrawal there are a bunch of stress hormones/opioid peptides that make you feel like shit. Boosting dopamine might help some, but there's still these hormones like corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF), dynorphin and norepinephrine and keep you in a state of dysphoria and fight or flight. For me benzos were the only option, because the herbals did not work.

Do you drink alcohol or eat sweets/sugary stuff? Maybe cutting them out would help to balance dopamine pathways?

  10. For me cutting down coffee to one cup per day and no sweets/sugary has helped a lot. Outdoors work and drawing have been the best anxiety killers during the whole recovery progress. Cutting out mindless browsing and TV have also increased the general wellbeing and concentration and that has also reduced the amount of triggers. But unfortunaly I just relapsed after staying clean for 3 weeks, just when the worst symptoms like head pressure and floating dizziness were starting to dissipate, and the worst thing is that I didn't get aroused with p-subs, but I still MO'd later without them. I opened a P site today and the initial arousement weared off quickly and the penis went totally dead.

It's just so sad that my mind is still longing on the old PMO days where I could get rock hard boners pretty much every day. That's been like over a decade ago. I just want to be free of this toxic and mind destroying activity for the rest of my life. Good thing is that I know that all these symptoms are caused by PMO and staying off it will cure me. Stay strong guys, I truly wish you all the best with all your endeavors.

I still stand firm behind belief that supplements and additional nutrient and hormonal help can help in recovery.

The physical aspect of these issues is simply due to hormonal imbalances and nutrient deficiency.

yes. I side with this. they have helped me immensely to balance out my dopamine pathways.
I still need to be careful [no alcohol, caffeine extremely rarely] but I feel much better these days.

Its funny because when I look at other people I see the same addiction patterns I was immersed in myself years ago.
I quit alcohol, so now I need to look for other activities that release dopamine [I do cycling and weightlifting for example and I love to ride rollercoasters]
    - other people just drink alcohol. it works but u need to be doing this all the time which of course creates problems as alcohol is a poison.
its a no deal for me.

the only problem with this is that 90% of women also drink alcohol, so its hard to find the ones who do not and live healthy [also u wont find them on job nights out to pubs heh]

I find that drinking alcohol makes my exhaustion worse. It sets me back weeks and i have the worst hangover. But yes i find it hard to find healthy woman too. Try AA bro look for a girl thats been in for a while. I used to go to meetings but its been a while. Went just to fill my time in the first stages of stopping porn. It helped and nobody gotta know your problem. But at the same time probably a decent place to open up about an addiction. I dunno every meeting is different. Going to the gym is good way to find healthy woman. If they do drink its usually not alot and have good self control. Good luck though and happy new year yall.

Why does it say it would take up to 3 weeks for sexual exhaustion cases, yet after 3 weeks of abstinence (at one point), I still had my sexual exhaustion problems? Am I just a very rare example of an extreme case because I keep relapsing?

Hey buddy, i would forget the whole sexual exhaustion notion because that is not what you are suffering from. You struggle is with a P addiction and you are likely suffering from withdrawal symptoms after those 3 weeks. I would suggest checking out yourbrainonporn.com for some more information on what to expect.

    Sexual exhaustion is very real.

Andrenal fatigue is a killer and excessive PMO will get you there eventually

i never said that sexual exhaustion was not real. ‘Sexual exhaustion’ can occur, however it only takes around 2 weeks for the body to recover from it.

most of the people suffering with these symptoms are really suffering from a withdrawal of sorts which can last much longer. Usually this comes in the form of stress which amplified symptoms.

I would recommend fixing the brain, as most of our problem are coming from a porn addiction. Once that goes, symptoms generally improve if there are no underlying conditions

Surely you can't believe that people suffering from sexual exhaustion for years and years will take only two weeks to recover?

The brain chemical and hormonal imbalance is part of this. It's why we are trying to stop PMO so that our body can recover. And it's not just the brain it's the WHOLE body that takes a knock from this constant abuse .

  19. OP is right man...
Your nerves tissues which correlate your sex organs to the brain could be damaged by extreme excessive pmoing. And for very extreme case, it could take a good 2 years for them to heal. For instance, the shaking or tremor im experiencing absolutely relate to adrenal fatigue.

  20. Because it takes way more than 3 weeks to get healed if you were an extreme case.
