I started Nofap 3 years ago. I hit rock bottom in my life, I was grasping at straws for change. I stumbled on this site and read other people were suffering similar issues. Decided to try, and I never looked back.

Stopping porn gave me the strength and clarity I needed to see what issues were truly holding me back. My OCD and my poor lifestyle. With the help of a therapist I was able to learn how to cope with my OCD that didn't revolve around PMO. I decided to push myself, talk to other people. I was initiating the hang outs, I was doings things that I wouldn't have done so in the past. I was being confident. My lifestyle was changing.

At work Co workers were calling me an extrovert, due to my energy. Me? The same guy just 2 years ago, who would be locked in a room looking at fucking hentai galleries too terrified to look another person in the eye for hours.

When you develop confidences and be the person you truly are meant to be, life becomes easier. You have no secrets to hide, you just enjoying living.

People are drawn to that. I did have short relationship with a woman because of how I conducted myself.

Now for the word of caution, no matter how far you go with out porn, no matter how long your last relapse was. We have a curse. Were our PMO past still dwells in ours minds. Like an unmovable bomb it slowly beeps in the background letting us know of it presence. We have a choice, ignore it, or light the fuse.

Unfortunately, I did the later and relapsed hard. Like past relapses before, I will do the only thing I can do. Move forward, I will write down the reasons of why it happened, discuss it was my therapist and live my life how I did before.

This is a battle worth fighting for, it may seem impossible but keep trying and never, never give up

Respect, bro. I'm sure it wasn't easy for you. Don't let the relapse trick you into your old habits and keep walking the right path!

    The concept:
Once you start nofap its like someone sitting next to you shouting: open up browser type in p... and so on.. if you don't give in, the voice gets somewhat tuned down in volume..
after some days its just talking loudly.. gets weaker every time our higher self wins.
    after months: only whispering ..
after some more time reoccurring only if your willpower is low (tiredness/rejection/loneliness/sadness/...)
It takes a surprisingly long time to fade 100% . BUT IT'S WORTH THE FIGHT.

Thanks for sharing this story, keep on fighting and remember, we're all in this together, don't let a relapse discourage you!!!
Think of Thomas Edison: You just discovered an other path that led to relapse. Great! Avoid that path next time. :)

Congrats on the 90 days but I don’t totally agree nor do I totally disagree with your statement on how we are cursed and PMO stays on our minds. As someone who is a few days short of 1 year since PMO I can say I have very little interest in porn. I also can say I have zero interest in masterbating to porn.

I am a man though and every healthy man should have some level of interest in a picture of a beautiful lady as I do. My orgasms are saved for real life interactions with a women now but I am staying hardmode at least another 150 days then I’ll possibly experiment with a women.

Rarely anybody rewires in 90 days if you did you were not damaged much.

Thank you for your kind words, I will avoid this mistake going forward.

It depends more on a person to person basis and how rooted the addiction is.
For me I had no desire to relapse or masturbate, why would I? I finally see results. Certain events can trigger old habits, one miss step and the addiction can come roaring back to life

  7. We learn from every relapse. That's what's going to help us stay away from it forever one day. Fingers crossed for your success. It's very brave of you that you decided to reach out for help dealing with it. But that's yet another reason why your success is inevitable. I believe in you. Have a good one!
