Of course I can and for many different reasons I'm sure not everybody is 'forced' to 'perform' for money (and/or pleasure) but the idea that cognitive dissonance is rife in porn remains a perfectly valid point.

You can jerk on it without knowing my name? Lol.. that's good to know.

What lies am I spreading? o_O

    1. I could post a link to my website here, but unless I actually go into my site and edit the main text with a nice big banner saying "O Hai there! I'm CuriousFem from that NoFap forum!" (which I don't fancy going to the effort of doing) that would prove absolutely nothing.

    2. I don't want to post my site here because I'll just get even more "omfg you're a troll! omfg you posted porn on a NoFap site!!!!! you're so malicious omg" crap from people. Sure, someone said they wanted to relapse, and I just pretty much said "well... if you don't want to do NoFap, don't do NoFap!", but I'm not about to post my porn here!

    3. This might sound crazy, but I don't tend to want to post my name or material up in a place where the vast majority of people greatly dislike me... I mean, if there's any chance of my site coming under any malicious attack, I'll mostly try to avoid it. I'm not famous. I don't have any fancy protection set-up for my residence (aside from a very physically strong and wonderfully protective boyfriend, lol!). I'm not a "porn star" (not many of us are - there are a lot of us out there! lol).

I've already detailed how I could be perceived as even more of a troll if I posted my site / name here.

Woah, steady on there! Lol, where did I "twist your words"?

You don't have an argument. You're repeatedly hammering on about how porn is nothing but bad whilst sticking your fingers in your ears, wanting to hear nothing but that which agrees with you. I acknowledge there are good AND bad practices, because that is the reality I've seen and personally experienced as a performer.

It's always good to have a hobby.

It is now more than obvious that you are a troll.

Yet again you twist what i wrote. Any discussion with you is pointless and i hope you will get banned soon as possible.

LMFAO! I love that logic! I don't post my porn / name on NoFap, therefore I'm a troll. Oh man.

No, but seriously, I'm off now. :) It's been interesting!

Did your curiosity lead you to learn antlything at all 'positive' during your visit? Or would the only things you consider to be positive have to correlate with your pre existing (pre-judging, prejudiced) ideas about our respective choices? I guess you just found a bunch of guys who are not comfortable with what you do which must make you feel uncomfortable but in the end we are all free to choose the path that we believe serves our highest good. I sincerely hope you have found yours. All the best

  7. Wow, what a cat fight.... Guys, maybe take it to PM next time.... the talk got off topic and very personal.

CuriousFem, I appreciate your remark about enjoying being a porn star. I will not discuss the reasons why you enjoy it or why you ended up there in the first place - it is beyond my concern here.

I understand your remarks about some people being top quality and others building their empire on suffering. Since it is a business, I can assume such things happen in porn too. (Although I have to remark that "good" porn businessmen are by far outnumbered by the "not-so-good" ones - money chasing, you know.)

What I absolutely can't agree with is your claims that porn is good and its use is good. There is no evidence for that - on the contrary, there are masses of proofs that porn is one of the top reasons for destroying marriages. Porn is the top reason for young boys and men to objectify women and use them for their own pleasure. Porn is what most male prisoners began their "career" with, so absence of accessible porn in their lives could have helped them remain sane. Porn is making women all over the world feel insecure and ashamed of who they are - and not because they have issues, but because porn creates these issues (together with fashion industry and media).

I understand you want to justify the industry you are in - I mean... I would never be able to sleep if I would know that my job is creating the same effect as drugs and alcohol. Until I would resign, of course. But most, if not all, guys here on noFap, have been down this road - the road of justifying and rationalizing porn in their lives. No one could do it - because the benefits are by far outweighed by the pitfalls. So the number of people on this forum should already be the №1 evidence for you that your standing point about porn is flawed, at least in part.

And finally, let me ask you this: would you let your daughters be porn stars? And would you let your sons date and marry porn stars? I don't expect an answer, but I know that you will think about this.

Thanks for showing up here! Blessings and I hope you will one day understand what every guy's dream about a woman is.

There are many studies on the benefits of porn but again, due to the nature of this forum, I am reluctant to post them here for fear of being branded a triggering troll from hell, lol. But such studies are certainly out there! - all it would take is to scope them out. :3

Of course, but why is it destroying them? Does that alone mean that it must surely be bad in all cases?

Porn, in various forms, exists all over the world, and has been present in some way since humans had the ability to make imprints in their surroundings or craft sculptures. But did wives always want to break up with their husbands upon seeing some crude painting of a woman on a cave wall? I'm guessing not, because we're a product of our culture, and our culture hasn't always been the same way, or looked upon porn in the same way.

My standpoint is that the reason porn is destroying so many marriages as a result of our sexually repressed culture, and the religious themes (emphasis on the hellish (literally) consequences following lust, sin, etc) permeating throughout (and therefore ruining) sex education and healthy attitudes to sex.

Are you sure those views do not have anything to do with the teachings from their parents growing up? Do you think it is possible for a young boy to grow up, witnessing a perfectly loving relationship between his parents, then see some internet porn, and be completely ruined by it? My opinion is that if a boy is so swayed by porn to such an extent, there would already have to be a pre-existing issue there with the way he perceives women.

Are you saying, "Prisoners like porn, therefore porn = bad?"
There are many studies which show that rape statistics have significantly decreased since the existence of internet porn.

IMO this is because women are taught to equate sex with love; to equate beauty and desirability as the be-all-end-all of relationships. If all a woman needs to feel insecure is to see a fashion show, TV show, or porn, the issue is with herself, not the media. Getting rid of porn could give her the illusion that her self-esteem is higher than it actually is, because her "trigger" has gone, but that doesn't mean her self-esteem is any stronger in reality.

Creating the same effect as drugs and alcohol for those who use irresponsibly. :)
I'm not responsible for how people respond to the material I feature in. But really anything that triggers a pleasurable response in people (e.g. video games, sweets, etc), can become addictive.

This forum seems to be comprised of people who want to give up masturbation for many, many different reasons. Few I see as understandable, the overwhelming majority so far (I'll admit) I see as plain bizarre. I don't mean to offend anyone here with that - you do what you feel is best, of course.

I already thought about that long before I entered the industry. :) And absolutely, wholeheartedly, yes, and yes to both questions. If ever I have a daughter, and she sincerely wanted to work in porn, I would treat it the very same as any other profession a child of mine would want to enter into. I'd be happy to be her mentor, and ensure she makes the same connections as me to ensure her complete and total safety. I'd have her back all the way. I would not shame her, or frown at her, or tell her to choose something else.
Of course I would let my sons date and marry porn stars.. I don't see why anyone wouldn't? o_O I mean... we're people just like any other person, lol. :)

Many thanks! I've enjoyed conversing with you and I thank you for your civility. :)

Curiousfem considers most of our reasons for being here 'bizarre'!!:D :D :DThere is just too much to say and yet that time could be spent on something of genuine value (and it may come as a surprise that not all 'values' are monetary?) Just five words will suffice. Ignorance. Arrogance. Rationalization. Cognitive. Dissonance.

    No surprises there then.

This thread is closed. There has been a lot of name calling and shrill accusations and threats to get some folks banned (and, no, I'm not banning CuriousFem, at least not for expressing a contrary opinion). If you think ALL porn is evil/bad/damaging, then don't watch it. Be strong enough in your recovery to be able to withstand someone's view that ALL porn is not evil/bad/damaging.
