The benefits of Fasting on the reboot

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Apr 20, 2016.

  1. Hello guys,
Well, i've been interested in fasting during the few days, so i made a research on the internet to get some informations about the effects of fasting on the body, and the results were BRILLIANT !!!!

"Historical records tell us that fasting has been used for health recovery for thousands of years. Hippocrates, Socrates, and Plato all recommended fasting for health recovery. The Bible tells us that Moses and Jesus fasted for 40 days for spiritual renewal. Mahatma Gandhi fasted for 21 days to promote respect and compassion between people with different religions."

Many scientists have sought to explain the underlying mechanism by which fasting therapy corrects abnormal and unbalanced psycho-physiological systems, and restores health so efficiently. Its stabilizing effects on the . nervous system have been measured electrically through brain wave recordings and its effects on the endocrine glands have been traced bio-chemically. Both sets of findings tend to confirm that fasting allows the autonomic systems of the body to function at a relaxed baseline level, free from the erratic and disruptive influences of the nervous system and hormones.

Fasting is good for the brain function and nervous system
Fasting reblance the testosterone levels in the body
Fasting boosts the Human Growth Hormone (HGH)
    Fasting increase dopamine levels
Fasting is good for the emotional health
    Fasting boosts immunity
    Fasting help to overcome ADDICTIONS

During a fast, a metamorphosis occurs. The body undergoes a tearing down and rebuilding of damaged materials. For this reason, fasting is famous for its ability to rejuvenate and give the body a more youthful tone. Why does fasting have such a powerful effect in healing the body? Fasting dissolves diseased cells in a systematic manner, leaving healthy tissue. The result is a thorough cleansing of the tube, membrane and cellular structures. There is a remarkable redistribution of nutrients in the fasting body. It hangs on to precious minerals and vitamins while catabolizing on old tissue, toxins and inferior materials."

It's just magical how fasting can help the body to heal it self more easier and regain it's good health

I wanted to share with you those informations, i think this can help while rebooting

The downside is you won't be able to workout or do cardio.

  8. I'm also into that. But I was a little disappointed when I saw that nobody here seems to have actually tried it.
Nevermind, then I'll be the one to test this out at first :)

There are of course studies on fasting. But not many, especially with humans. That's because, although there's growing scientific interest in this matter, there's not much money for such studies. Because who has an interest to have the curing effects of fasting researched? The drug industry? I don't think so.

You could if it’s not a long fast. A 24 hour fast twice a month shouldn’t affect training.

I personally prefer to do Yoga fasted - after intermittent fasting that is. This means I have dinner early, skip breakfast, go to yoga and then have lunch about 2pm.

Makes me feel good but that might just be me.

You could do a modified fast with teas and juices and fiber to keep the system getting cleaned out.

It looks like the OP was banned, curious what happened.
