Checking in on Day 82. So far, so good. I rarely think about P and my overall anxiety has decreased. Making the decision to live deliberately has benefit me greatly!

The last few times I watched P before I got on this streak, I made myself say out-loud the name of title, what was happening, how long I was watching, and how many tab/videos have I clicked on. Live deliberately my friends!

Be honest with yourself in that moment and say how you ended up watching P. Was it boredom, stress, triggered... you will get stronger.

Day 10 check in. I’m staying up late and although it seems innocent I’m making myself go to bed. Good for defeating PM but also good for me.

I’m trying to make this happen. It just takes a few moments to ruin a good streak. I’m trying to stay focused on 1/2 day at a time with rededicating every morning and evening.

I personally like more posts in the group; good bad and ugly. So if you are logging in to check in, please consider throwing a post on the board.

Very good concept. The pursuit of pleasure is to go after a mirage, a distant reflection that can never be achieved permanently ... it is like water that escapes from the hands. As you say, you have to enjoy those occasions that are presented to us and not demand from others (or life in general) the enjoyment of pleasures. The path of hedonism is full of instatisfaction.
Thanks for your words @Timber !!

Checking in. On day 89 today, prior record 91 days. Feels like I could blow the door off the hinges right about now. A LOT of changes. Really do feel above it all now, but the last time I got that way, I relapsed and had to start over. Stay strong bro’s, stay focused!! Thanks so much AP WB!!

  16. I am embarrassed and ashamed to say that I relapsed today. I don't know exactly what happened yet. I know I've been super stressed and tired over the last couple weeks so I suppose that may have had a play, but it's no excuse. Life is like that. I've said it before that the difficult times are the ones that really count, the moments where you get stronger. Well I got weaker today. Interestingly though I did not masturbate, or touch myself. I looked at "P" a few times throughout the day for a few minutes each time. No "M" and no "O." Hopefully this helps me a little in getting right back on track.

I've re-read the porn addiction basics page on this website to remind myself of the problem. The part on neuroplasticity stood out to me. It has to do with the role triggers play in all this. If boredom is a trigger and when you're bored, you look at "P", then your brain learns to think of "P" whenever you're bored. It works the other way too, and over the last 7 months I've felt that. There were numerous times when "P" didn't enter my mind like it would have in the past. I've learned a lot over the past 7 months and I'm not going to let this reset hold me down. I can't. I have made progress toward recovery and I've shown myself I have some strength after all. I can't waste it. There is absolutely no doubt that getting rid of PMO will put my mind more at peace and will help to make my life more fulfilling.

I really felt disgusted today. I am starting to bounce back mentally and think about how this happened. I am going to make a vow to myself and you guys that I am done with PM, and all behaviors that attempt to obtain sexual gratification (P-subs, fishing, checking out girls, fantasizing, etc.), other than with my wife. Her and I have a wonderful relationship - I just can't believe how I put that in jeopardy. The substitute for my urges will be found in an entirely different subject matter.

For you guys that have decent streaks going, don't do what I did. It isn't worth it. There's no point anymore. Keep pushing forward. Of course you already know that, but I want to say it anyway. If you don't have a super long streak, I say the same thing, but I know the first few months can be so difficult. We all need to keep fighting though. This last year has given me more freedom from this crap than the previous 20, and this group and the NOFAP community has been a large part of it. This is a long journey but we all have to keep practicing so we can be the men we want to be.

There is nothing to be embarrassed there man.I think some of us , including me , are taking that very personally. You relapsed after 228 days (or so).Honestly i believe the act of m after 228 days is just natural.Yes i understand we are not the same as other people who are not addicted on that but i stronlgy believe you have a big victory there.Just be cassius not to end up in a relapse cycle.
For me you didn't relapse , you just took a brake! Keep it up! :)

Day 13 check in. 1/2 day at a time. Confidence in the streak can be a trigger. I think cause the idea that it’s not a big deal and I’d bounce back sneaks in but it’s not true. I need to stay on the streak no matter what. Just 1/2 a day at a time.

  20. Thanks for your honesty and those inspirational words. I know it's no fun resetting your counter after such a memorable streak. You have shown us all that a nofap lifestyle really is possible.
