I need your guys help with this. The past few days have been full of relapses, but between yesterday and today after edging, I have had extreme dizzy spells and heart pounding and shortness of breath episodes after each time. It’s really bad. I went to the ER last night and they examined me and told me I was fine, I couldn’t sleep, I felt like I was going to faint or lose consciousness. I started to feel better today and (literally the dumbest thing ever. I know.) I did it again because I thought I ruined my streak. After orgasm I felt the same feeling as yesterday. Extreme dizziness, shortness of breath, pounding heart.

I was about to fap again, I started the process but then the dizziness came on and now I don’t want to ever again.

Question 1: does anyone know or think they know what this could be caused by? Over stimulation? Nervous system? Heart? ( I don’t know about physical health conditions because the hospital wasn’t concerned)

Question 2: even though I began to fap my second time but stopped (health issue), will I be fine if I began my New streak withOut finishing?

(Please answer those two questions, they are important, thanks.)

  2. panic attack maybe..also maybe your exerting yourself a lot.. idk the dizziness is worrying. sorry you're not feeling well.

Thanks for the reply, dizziness certainly concerned me. But My other question from above was, even if I just barely started then stopped a second later masturbatinf the second time then stopped, can I continue my streak as that? Does that matter?

You could also check your breathing pattern;too deep or too shallow a breath may carry some influence. Best to let the breath flow as it wants. Although I've been in a similar state at least once, I'm not sure, but the nervous system most likely plays a role, as well as our perception/ feeling of being overwhelmed.

If by "fine" you mean you can keep the streak going even though you didn't ejaculate, well, anything's possible, but, personally, there hasn't been once when I (and I assume others) could do that. Especially if we're talking about having edged, I'd say the chances for a good streak are considerably low, if any.

Thank you for your honesty, but this is not the answer I wanted to hear unfortunately.

Since this Has happened and it is very severe I fear that one of these times it could do real damage.

I don’t like the risk of an increased likelihood of relapse in the future if relapse could potentionally mean something serious. I don’t want to jump to a conclusion or be hyperbolic by saying something as severe as death,

but with what I just experienced with my symptoms and the severity of them I am extremely concerned.

If you have a primary care physician follow up with them as soon as you can. Outside of that make sure you're drinking enough water, get plenty of rest, and if fapping is causing you stress or you feel there may be a connection, stop fapping for a bit until you get this sorted out. I don't want to scare you but your symptoms could be anything from nerves, to a vitamin deficiency if the ER checked you out and said you were ok. Means that it's either nothing or it's something specific that they weren't really looking for. If symptoms don't go away or if you really want to nip this in the bud, I'd go get a recommended physician to check me out after telling them what's going on.
Also, I don't consider a streak broken unless you came.

Such an acute concern might be a good sign that it's time to consult with someone specialized in the medical field, since it's something not physical, according to the tests, maybe a neurologist.

It honestly sounds like a panic attack. How do you feel emotionally after relapsing usually? If you've had a lot of relapses lately then you could be dealing with a lot of guilt and shame which has compounded into the panic attack. Once you have a panic attack in a certain situation it's easier to have another panic attack in that situation until you deal with the underlying problem causing the panic attack. I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep the streak going and see a physician to make sure it's nothing major. I'm sure you'll be fine.

As for whether the streak has ended or not, stop thinking like that. It isn't about the streak. It's about not watching porn. The longer you go not watching porn the better off you are. Just don't watch porn. Simple as that. The streak is only good for measuring your progress. People at 90 days are usually more recovered than people at 60 days. However, both people should never watch porn again. So for you, at 0 days right now, are probably less recovered than either of them, but either way, you should never watch porn again. If you do watch porn again, then okay cool, you fucked up. Pick yourself back up, commit to doing better, and then continue moving forward. That's all that matters.

Thanks so much for this reply.

This really eases my mind. The reassurance that as long as I stay away from porn and masturbation. I’ll be ok. That right there.

I’ve always worried about certain sitting positions and sleeping positions that put pressure on it.

That’s what the doctor said last night, that the panic attack brought on these symptoms.

The only thing is that I didn’t tell him about the binging and the masturbation.

But that is now my official and complete goal. Strive to do the best. Never watch that stuff ever again and never masturbate.

    That is that.

Thanks again. This has helped me.
