I am not a porn addict. I just watch it occasionally. However, the main area of concern is masturbation. I have been trying to stop it since the past 8 years since the age of 20 that was when I began with it. Before that I never even tried doing it. After that day, life changed completely for me. I haven't been able to focus or concentrate on my studies or work. My concentration levels have dropped tremendously with each passing day. Depression, anxiety and sadness have surrounded me. I do not where to go , whom to seek help from. I heard of NoFap from a friend. This is my only saving grace to get my life in order. My numerous attempts to stop fapping hasn't bore any results.

Sometimes once in 3 days sometimes once a week. If I have tried to control it for like 2 weeks, after that things become even worse since I then do it regularly for 2-3 days at a stretch. I call it the after-effects of having controlled it for so many days. I want to stop it completely and focus on other hobbies in life like dancing, singing, juggling, skating, cycling and swimming. Also, to get my focus back to my career. I am way behind my peers but with true dedication and perseverance I know I have the will power to sail through. Please help me guys!

It is a big step if you can understand what is triggering your urges, because this will allow you to be awake and kill those urges as soon as they appear.

I recommend you to create your own "Emergency Toolbox" with readings that can be handy to read when you start feeling urges to screw up.
I can share this post with you with my own Emergency Toolbox, it helped me a lot during the first few months, i had them in my cell and read them every time I started falling down:

I wrote some tips in this post that perhaps will help you too:

    http://NoFap.com/forum/index.php?threads/tips-that-helped-me-to-start-my-reboot.46617/#post-330318
You can watch some interesting videos which are also very helpful in this post:

I also suggest you to read "Breaking the Cycle" by George Collins, it is a must-read if you are serious about getting rid of this addiction.
To get more focus and feel happier with life I recommend you to start doing meditation.. I have been using an App called Headspace for the last two months which is great if you have never meditated before. The first 10 sessions are free if you want to give a try. I used to feel a bit depressed or feeling without energy to start new projects in my life, and meditation has helped me a lot with this.

Last but not least, I would strongly recommend you to take new e-course that Mark Queppet launched in his new website, called: " REFORGED MAN: Quit porn and Master Yourself-Be a Man you Admire", it is the updated version of the e-course he used to have in NoFap Academy. It is not cheap ($200) but it is totally worth it because he gives great toold to fight PMO.You can find it here:
    https://courses.universalman.com/courses/reforged-man
You can also join his website called Patreon, where he posts great stuff for free every week, and also you can join the pay area to be part of his weekly video calls where you can chat with them in real life, get coaching and listen to other guys's stories and problems too. You can find it here:
    https://www.patreon.com/home
You can also use this Excel table to track your reboot. If you did not watch P or MO'd you leave it in 0 and it will show gree, if you did it you fill in in the column (PMO or MO) with the amount of times, if it was 1 it will show in yellow, 2 or more in red. In the left column you can add how strong the urges were each day.

Hi and welcome to the community

I would recommend you to stay in touch with members and read their success stories. You may also learn tricks to avoid the short-term pleasure and to face the temptations.

Be AWARE of your habits and control what you see and what/who you spend your time with.

It's also important to limit the usage of social media. In addition, never be free! Use your free time as much as possible and do sports, exercise, attend classes, etc.

This video contains everything that you need to know about porn addiction. Lastly, here is a collection of ways to deal with the urges which worked great for me.

Once you pop, you can't stop. That's what happened to most of us here. Don't worry about that. That's the evil nature of masturbation.

That's the vicious cycle. You instinctively want to reboot after you have failed and once your vitality is restored to some extent, evil thoughts come knocking on your door and since your subconscious mind is still filthy, you give up to that and relapse.

Addressing the root problem is the key. You have to cleanse off filthy and x-rated stuff from your mind by rewiring your thoughts with sublime thoughts. You have to find something meaningful to work on which becomes your obsession so that you don't have to chase the little fleeting pleasures. It's not easy but if you sincerely ask, you might find something like that.

Those are some great activities to keep yourself engaged in. Wish you all the best brother.

  6. Hey, welcome to the NoFap community : )
It's nice to see you here fighting the good fight alongside us!

Allow me to go ahead and drop some helpful links for you:
Getting Started Guide / Forum Rules / How to Use the NoFap forums/ Glossary/ NoFap Panic button / Set up your day counter / Rebooting Resources/ Accountability groups (new!) / About NoFap/ Support NoFap

    Here is just some advice:

First and foremost please take a careful look at each section in the forum, there may be something(s) you will find to be of big help to you.

Secondly I advise you to be active on your profile(as there a few active people in the profile section). Please start by choosing an avatar and then begin posting frequent status posts to show you're active and needing support/encouragement.
The forum has got a neat little feature that shows freshly posted statuses for all users to see.
People will find your profile and give you support.
There’s a portion of people who love communicating in the profile section..(it should be and is )mostly spportive talk but it doesn't hurt to deviate from supportive conversations. It would be great to have you join in and become part of the team!
We support one another in the threads, profile posts, and journals/reboot logs.
Once you receive some support, please be sure and be grateful to the member for the help/support you received and consider giving some in return to anyone you wish.

Thirdly, you should highly consider creating a public journal/reboot log (in the appropriate section for you) to write about your days in depth for us members to follow along on your journey and offer support to you on.

Last but not least: Good luck on your journey here, make sure to really give it a try with all your heart!
