I flatlined for a few months. Your mileage may vary.

Did you hard mode for a few months? Did It get better? Do you wake up with good morning wood and was it a progression or was it sudden?

I progressively got better morning wood. Part of my problem with that as a measure is that I often arise to urinate during the night. I always have, since as a child, so I rarely sleep deeply enough to have traditional "morning wood". It does happen once in a while. By "flatline" I'm more talking libido. I just plain wasn't interested...not in sex, not in M not in anything sexual. I wasn't even interesting in looking at a pretty girl.

No. My wife of 25 years and I have our relationship issues which don't help, but the main issue at present is that my Peyronie's is bad enough to make it impossible. That is why I really want to get the information out here about it, how to detect it early, and perhaps prevent it or at least arrest its progression as total abstinance allows it free reign to develop. It is a very real and very disastrous "side effect" of PMO recovery. I saw the "white knuckle until failure" then start all over cycle and decided a more precise approach was in order.

My approach to conquering the PMO habit was one letter at a time until I flatlined, then abstinance was "easy"...then just when I thought I was recovering, I was hit with PD. The psychological and physical aspects of this disorder are coming closer to making me suicidal than anything before...that is how bad it is.

How does PD happen? I'm going to have to research this.

    Hi James,

It sounds as though we're going through the same struggle with PIED. I'm on day 20 of no PMO now and have started to see morning wood coming back in. I sometimes feel a little urge during the day, or some excitement, although it is fairly week. I am, however, starting to appreciate people in real life a lot more and noticing how attractive a full range of characteristics can be - not just the typical 'porn' style of looks that P makes us expect. This feels like a whole new experience.

I agree with what everyone is saying here that the process with take time. I'm right there with you :)

The trouble with PD is that is not well understood. What it amounts to is scarring of the tunical tissue (which binds and defines an erection) so that erections are crooked and painful. Tissue growth is stimulated by injury...this is how body builders build muscle. The problem is that with a PMO habit bad enough to be PIED, there has likely been quite a few micro injuries. Mitigation of scar tissue production needs to be on the radar. Certain nutritional supplements should be part of any program to get over PIED...things like CoQ10/Ubiquinol, L-Argenine, L-Carnatine, B6, D3 and perhaps a few others...pycnogenols and such. Anything which discourages hard scar tissue and encourages blood flow.

I never reached PIED. Probably won't need to worry about PD. Hopefully.

Just keep a close evaluation of your overall penis health. If you wake up with morning wood, and it is ok, you are probably good. PD is basically a fibrosis condition, and may be caused by many things, but a penis which is accustomed to being manipulated may be more prone to it when behaviour is modified. It is just something to be aware of and watch for signs. It is more easily prevented than reversed...as in, almost impossible to reverse.

I've heard people saying they don't have a problem, but i feel many people are hiding it, shamed of sharing their problems because lets face it, sexually problems make a man feel rusty and incompetent. Some also have as you stated, higher libido, testosterone etc which makes all the difference, imagine a person with life long low libido and wanking to porn all his life. How would he ever wanted sex anywhere, probably feeling like a fake Asexual all of a sudden.

Old post but just felt like saying it. We didn't see them having sex, what do we know about them really.
