This might be a weird confession but I know it's a problem. I was addictive to watching hentai of a certain anime character and it wasn't recently when I realized that I was doing it at least once a day and it had been going on since 2014. I tried nofap before but I relapsed many times but now. I'm currently on my 5th day of nofap. It hasn't been hard but I'm just having thoughts of what new video of porn was uploaded or image of the anime character. This is currently my longest without fapping or watching porn. I don't want to relapse because I know it's gonna be frustrating to start over again. I know I can keep going without watching hentai but the thought of a new image being uploaded gets me curious. Anyone have advice? also I currently in the flatline stage. I'm trying to keep clean untill July to see if there's any change in me.

  2. Welcome! Another joins our ranks :)

Well to be honest, if you can get a streak to July right now, that means you were never addicted in the first place. This is likely gonna be a tough journey with quite a few relapses, so I would not get super worked up about them. Just harness the pain to motivate you to continue man.

Right now you should focus on learning more about porn addiction, quitting porn, and habit replacement. Ultimately, those things will get you out of this mess. YBOP is a good resource for the brain and p. Universal Man, Noah Church, and *** are all very great YouTubers that talk about quitting pm.

If you relapse, make sure you learn from it and fix the problem so you don't relapse the same way again.

    Cheers!

  4. I recommend his Man of Action series (general life-improvement foundational strategies) and Sexual Self Mastery Series (sexuality specific). No problem.

  6. Np. Btw, why do you track your relapses this year? For most people, negative motivation doesn't work well. Also, that just underscores the great progress you've made and the great learning you've done from those relapses.

I actually try and see it in a positive sense.. so for example I used to PMO twice a day on avg..(700 per year roughly) if I was counting my old “normal” it would be over a hundred by now.. right now it’s 13 for this year so to me that shows me that I’m still way ahead of where I used to be and so still making great progress.. just in a different way.. it’s probably not for everyone but it does make me look really hard at myself when I have to put another ❌ up as well..

    Hi, welcome to the community

I would recommend you to stay in touch with members and read their success stories. You may also learn tricks to avoid the short-term pleasure and to face the temptations.

Be AWARE of your habits and control what you see and what/who you spend your time with.

It's also important to limit the usage of social media. In addition, never be free! Use your free time as much as possible and do sports, exercise, attend classes, etc.

This video contains everything that you need to know about porn addiction. Lastly, here is a collection of ways to deal with the urges which worked great for me.

Your thoughts aren't your life brother. They are void. It's only you who can give them power by feeding them or giving them your energy or attention.

Since you have exposed your mind to watching these certain things, it's now filled with filth and would keep reminding you to take it back to the world of instant gratification. That's what you are experiencing it now.

I am afraid that merely trying won't break the shackles of this addiction. You have to aim for sexual integrity with all your seriousness.

See, that's what your genuine self wants.

But merely thinking about " not wanting to relapse" would only make relapse. Think all the physical, mental or spiritual activities you can start working on. Think about the hobbies, passions or works you can engage yourself in.

Curiosity to check would only lead to your downfall. You are desperately moping for something that you desperately hope you would never have to do.

What if there's no change? Are you going to go back to that cyclical, momentary and a little pleasure?

Commit to staying clean forever. That way, you can hope of making some good progress.

All the best on your streak.

  14. I think the part about going til July wasn't as in he'll get there then stop NF but okay. Also by a month he'll probably learn more about NF and find his reasons why he'll do it so. But who who knows.

  15. Hey, welcome to the NoFap community : )

It's nice to see you here fighting the good fight alongside us!

Allow me to go ahead and drop some helpful links for you:

Getting Started Guide / Forum Rules / How to Use the NoFap forums/ Glossary/ NoFap Panic button / Set up your day counter / Rebooting Resources/ Accountability groups (new!) / About NoFap/ Support NoFap

    Here is just some advice:

First and foremost please take a careful look at each section in the forum, there may be something(s) you will find to be of big help to you.

Secondly I advise you to be active on your profile(as there a few active people in the profile section). Please start by choosing an avatar and then begin posting frequent status posts to show you're active and needing support/encouragement.

The forum has got a neat little feature that shows freshly posted statuses for all users to see.

People will find your profile and give you support.

There’s a portion of people who love communicating in the profile section..(it should be and is )mostly spportive talk but it doesn't hurt to deviate from supportive conversations. It would be great to have you join in and become part of the team!

We support one another in the threads, profile posts, and journals/reboot logs.

Once you receive some support, please be sure and be grateful to the member for the help/support you received and consider giving some in return to anyone you wish.

Thirdly, you should highly consider creating a public journal/reboot log (in the appropriate section for you) to write about your days in depth for us members to follow along on your journey and offer support to you on.

Last but not least: Good luck on your journey here, make sure to really give it a try with all your heart!
