  1. Day 1: Was off my antidepressant for a few days. Kept forgetting to get it refilled. Messed me up yesterday. Ended up sleeping most of the day and then relapsing. Don’t really remember it happening. Medication is now refilled, and I’m feeling a little better today. Keeping on top of your mental health is key in recovery. Time to start again as an orc.

    that´s a terrible idea bro. Don´t do that again please. Trust me, brothers who have tight criteria on relapses and strive for perfect streaks will never go far. It´s hard enough to avoid PMO, to had extra pressure of not allowing any kind of peaking is a mistake. If you stumble across something, just learn with the situation and move along. You didn´t pmo, that´s what matters.

    The path to the reboot is not a highway, it´s a long, dusty bumpy road.

    Sorry for not checking/posting yesterday brothers. Very busy day. But i already feel the effects of my negligence as i feel my determination dropped a bit today. I got to keep my commitment high, the reboot is top priority, so no excuses. Honesty i could come to the forum, i had a bit of time at night, but i rather stay in the couch watching a movie. I was negligent and in the reboot we can´t afford to be negligents.
    The relapses are a slow, subtle process of loss of commitment, loss of good habits, and priorities switching, so now that i write this i tell you that my commitmment is 100% back again. No excuses. One for all, all for one.

    Meanwhile, one more day my brothers. I´ve entered Moria :)

    Let´s welcome our new brothers in the journey:

    @WilliamofRubruck
    @frma23
    @redman13

    Have a great day ;)

    I also think that I was too strict to myself, which I wouldn't be normally. It felt a bit unusual since these occurences really used to trigger me and I didn't know how to handle it at that moment.

    It is a rough road indeed and it is best to move on. Thanks :)

    I agree! @FellowCompanion I totally get where you're coming from, a lot of the time when I see a trigger I used to use it as a rationalisation for relapse. I won't lie to you, it is true that seeing triggers does affect your reboot, but so long as you notice what's happening and look away relatively quickly (doesn't even have to be immediate! give yourself some leeway) the damage done is so minimal that I think the discipline you build by not giving in outweighs the loss by looking at the trigger.

    So long as you didn't seek anything out, you have no reason to reset your counter. I know the feeling of wanting your streak to be "pure", but you will never have a streak that is "pure" and longer than 2 or 3 days; unless you want to go live with the Amish. All resetting your counter will do is make you more inclined to actually relapse because you feel like you've already lost everything. How do I know this? I went through this exact process just over a week ago. Trust me, it leads nowhere good.

    Day 2, closing in on Day 3. One thing I've found immensely helpful this streak is going out of my way to learn something new about my addiction every day. It doesn't have to be major, it can be a five minute google search, but it serves as a daily reminder as to why I'm quitting. I highly recommend implementing something like this :D
