Keep relapsing so new approach

  1. Hi all

    I have been using nofap for some time now and have had success in getting to 63 days not using porn but recently I have been really struggling and cannot seem to go for more than few days. Yesterday I PMO'd twice and felt so low and awful so now I am here to make a new commitment...normally I am just stopping from porn but I've realised that masturbation tends to just make me more likely to look at porn so I am going to wholeheartedly try PMO for one month! I am going to post on this thread every night to help with keeping my commitment. I want a girlfriend and more real sex and I know that have to get away from porn for good. I am making progress but need to do more and need more support.

  2. Thanks brother...ok yes I will go for a 20 day streak and I'll update each day on here to say how I am doing.

    Day 1 - new commitment made and I want to make it to day 20. Feel that I need NoFap site for support and posting daily will help keep me on track. Also need to keep active and busy

  3. Ok this is the end of Day 1 and success! One day down...next target is to get to 10 days and then 20 days. I'm really serious about it this time and I want to beat my record of 63 days...one day at a time.

    I think if I get urges I will try getting straight out and going for a long walk...I'm also going to stop masturbating and edging like I normally do

  5. edging and masturbate is a stupid thing to do with nofap, if you want to do nofap, try to never touch your dick for like 5 days, then other 5 days, etc....if you give your brain the excitment with edging and masturbation the relapse is probable. And i tall because i know it, i'm a crazy guy and i tried a lot of masturbation test and now i know if you really want to stop you have to not touch your dick....

    You might also want to just start looking at self improvement stuff, you don't have to make a huge commitment but aside from just quitting things try thinking about healthy stuff you're going to take on.

    I kept relapsing over and over again and one day I just realized what truly my triggers were so I concentrated on those and cold showers help out a lot they are amazing keep going dude we can win this war

Hi there yes I agree with this...I often will lie watching TV in bed and start touching my dick and then get a boner then masturbate for a while whilst edging and usually not looking at porn...but sometimes I do think about porn and then before you know it I've got the computer open and I'm looking at porn again...despite vowing 5 mins earlier that I'm not going to do it! It can happen so easily so I agree not touching your dick is so necessary

Thanks..I already do a lot of this kind of stuff like yoga, exercise, bare foot walking, meditation...lots of stuff but I appreciate your comment and agree that doing good wholesome things makes us feel so much better. Just got to work out how not to go back to porn when I'm feeling low and need distraction

    You mentioned more support, the most obvious thing would be to look into APs but also APs that are keen on these kinds of practices. Also it's another thing to do some introspection and figure out how not to act out and catch our feelings before that happens, to have APs that are sensitive to that may be a good goal though probably harder to find.

    Accountability Partner. You can see there's a forum section dedicated to finding partners, but of course ideally it's about more than accountability but also support, which means getting to know each other a bit. There are also official NoFap plans that involves weekly calls online, there's a link on the upper right when you're accessing the forum on your computer.

  15. That's amazing that you manage half a year without P. Thing is I just want to meet someone and have intimacy...I'm really craving it badly as it's been so many years now of waking up alone in my bed. I am doing Nofap to reboot my life I think...I don't know. Thanks for the input I'm grateful

  19. Woohaa I'm up to 8 days and still feeling strong and motivated. staying away from any touching myself which is helping and keeping my mind focused on other things and trying to be productive. Only 2 more days until 10 days then I can move forward towards 20!
