So a year ago I made a post about my eyefloaters and surprisingly I found out a lot of people on nofap have eyefloaters. since last year not much has changed with my eye floaters but there still there but I want to do an experiment, I want to see if abstinence from PMO will help my eyefloaters. So starting today till 90 days I will update you guys to let you know if theres a difference in my eyefloaters.

    What does eye floaters mean?

  4. All I can contribute to this discussion is that I used to experience this phenomenon (in addition to visual snow) when I was in the deep end of my porn addiction, when I thought nothing of PMO'ing three times a day. However, since I have recovered to the point of relapsing once every two to three weeks, I no longer experience these symptoms. I feel that my eyesight in general has somewhat improved slightly.

Did you know that it used to be said anecdotally that masturbation sends you blind? Of course, this isn't true, but it can definitely fuck with your eyesight.

How long did it take for your eye floaters to get better?

It’s day 1 and i haven’t seen that much change in my floaters, other than that I just noticed that my anxiety was really high today, when I was at Home Depot with my dad I felt really nervous, I was freakin dripping sweat like a waterfall. This social anxiety is really bad, I feel like when people look into my eyes they look into my soul:eek: thats how bad it is

  9. I can't actually say, mate. At the time I just assumed it to be an aspect of my dodgy eyesight, some kind of kink in the ocular nerve. But with the benefit of hindsight, it was obviously some kind of neurological impairment, just another symptom of the nervous exhaustion caused by the super stimulus that is PMO.

Day 2 didn’t go out today but I did workout. I’ve been doing meditation and with the meditation I’ve been able to control my thoughts better. What I’ve been doing is controlling my thoughts on eye floaters and trying to forget about them, and I’ve noticed that there not as visible. I’ve only been doing this for about 2 days now and I’m already seeing results, who knows what might happen in 90 days.

Day 3 felt a short boost in confidence today, I’ve heard that happens sometimes when rebooting. No significant change in floaters. Urges are at a controllable level right now.

My eyes are full of those things... It’s so annoying and horrible. I hate looking at bright things. Been to a doc too, said it’s not some serious , yet I gotten more over the time. It’s sad, especially knowing that I ll never get my crystal clear vision back.( they don’t fade away ). Along with them I get some bright spots ,or dark blurry spots that come and go, and along with those, i see like there are many small dots quickly moving around .

    Miserable tbh. :(

Eye floaters aren't a disease, however they can be a symptom of one.

Eye floaters are generally harmless, however, yes, they are fucking annoying but it does go away, it just takes ages and if they do not seem to go away then it might be a sign of an issue relating to your eyes. Some people say it takes a month, some three, some even say six. It just depends.

Eye floaters have no relationship to masturbation or watching porn. Instead of trying to resolve this problem through abstaining, get your eyes checked by a professional if you're concerned.

They are a disease, and no they don’t just go away on their own that’s dog poop. Arthritis causes pain in the joints but doesn't cause any major health risks. However it is still considered a joint disease. If that’s the case why can’t eye floaters be considered a eye disease? They cause mental pain from stress, that’s like arthritis but instead of the physical it’s mental.

I see your 26, that’s good news for you because around the age of 30 or so you can get a laser surgery to remove floaters. I’m unfortunately still 14 so I can’t get the surgery, I have to wait

I did biology in high school and studied in the same field for my first year of university before I decided that it wasn't for me and changed courses.
Eye floaters are not a disease, they can be a symptom of one. Eye floaters are generally harmless and do go away, it just takes a long time. I have had eye floaters before and they have went away. Every person is different in terms of how long it can take to go away. A quick google search can tell you the exact same thing that I am telling you right now.

If it were a disease then your health would at risk if it isn't medicated. A lot of people have had eye floaters, if it were a disease I am certain that a lot of people would go blind from gradual vision loss because diseases chip away at your bodily functions.

There's a gel like substance inside your eye that becomes more liquidy and when the microscopic fibers within that substance band/clump up together, they make little shadows over your retina those shadows are called eye floaters.

Again, eye floaters CAN (not IS) be a symptom of a disease, but they're not classified as a disease themselves. They are generally harmless and go away. If you're going to continue to call them a disease, make sure you don't say that infront of a biology professor otherwise they're going to laugh at you.

Where did you ever see me talk about arthritis in the post for me to say that arthritis is or isn't a disease?
