  1. Bombed nightmare mode yesterday cuz I decided to do it much later in the day, so going to go back into it today starting with the moment I woke up. Definitely not easy to get used to hearing Mozart crap in my ear while I work (currently doing this at the time of writing), but I guess this is the road I gotta go down if I'm going to put my mind to rest from all this stimulation. I know that I have plenty to do to stay busy today, so going to avoid all unecessary tech use. Also have been doing meditation and felt great yesterday. Going to start doing it as often as many members on this forum have suggested doing. I shall update later on my progress, and thanks for the words of encouragement also! My goal is to reach 90 days of Nofap before the end of the year, so this may be one of the last chances I get this year to accomplish this goal. Let's keep going!!!

Meditation is a great idea... I should try to incorporate that into my day as well. Maybe first thing in the morning to start off right.

  3. Yea it helped alot! Was able to effortlessly remove an urge last night by using it!

  4. Regarding my porn addiction, I'm at a point where I don't count the days anymore. I just think about how long until the next milestone. I think this is better because when focusing on the streak itself, I may downplay it and lose motivation. This way, I'm always looking forward and there's always a new, achievable goal.

However, more recently, I stopped masturbating too. Not because it was harmful in and of itself, but because I feel like I was using it as a coping mechanism. I masturbated to either my imagination (more rare) or girls I know on Instagram, not models or anything (more common). I wanted to develop a healthier view around sex and women so I stopped. It hasn't been hard, mostly due to the 60 day headstart I had with no porn, but I noticed the beginning of something that is very likely a flatline. Before abstaining from masturbation, my penis was more responsive and I got more erections.

It's okay, though, everything is going smoothly. I'm still in quarantine so it's a great time to just be patient and wait for things to improve. Meanwhile, I'm focusing on my workouts, games, language learning, friends, etc.

  5. Actually this is exactly something that I decided to start doing on this new streak! Love that someone came and confirmed it's usefulness! I have a specific milestone in mind and it's keeping me strong so far!
Huh interesting. I never thought about the possibility of slowly easing into no PMO by starting with no P. Gonna put all my hopes into no PMO for now, but I'll consider doing this in the future if it really takes a hold of me and throws me off my course again. I'm gleaning lots of great stuff from your post! Plz share more uncommon advice if you can think of any!
Honestly language learning completely slipped my mind as a potential time investment. That'd be pretty cool to come out of NoFap not only with a changed life in every area, but also with a new language. I guess you end up building your own benefits as you go along!

  6. @Sweet Kevin I'm glad you found my post helpful! I'll be sure to write here again :) Also, congratulations on staying strong on your journey, may we prevail together!

  8. I decided to go with the approach mentioned above of slowly easing back into NoFap since I was getting too entrenched in the stuff. Avoided primarily O for a while, and feeling a lot better. I think I will be able to manage going forward now. My new goal is to start with three months of no PMO by the end of this year with the hopes of making it a lifestyle.

Day One for me in a battle against a 25 YEAR ADDICTION. Had some abstaining here and there, and somehow NEARLY A YEAR without PMO once with, unfortunately, total relapse. The strange thing about that months long no PMO is that after relapsing I would tell myself: “No worries. I just walked away once, I can simply do it again if I need to.” Yeah, right. The b*tch of an addiction is that it will allow you to tell yourself ANYTHING to justify what you are and aren’t doing.

So best wishes to all who strive here. Wish I had advice. I’m certainly not qualified to give it, but at least I can share the struggle.

  10. So far feeling great and having success in avoiding temptation. Staying as busy as I possibly can, and avoiding phone usage as much as possible.

  11. This isn't easy. This is the furthest I've pulled through in a while, and I can't afford to mess up this time around, or I'll fail my goal I made a while ago of a full reboot of 90 days by the end of 2020. This is the toughest thing that I've ever done, but I will pull through.

  12. Feel like dirt today. I hope I'm on the flatline already or something. I feel absolutely no urges so that's good for now.

It is a tough situation indeed man.
You must work your way through it. Get help from someone close, trust worthy.

I’m in absolutely no position to say this,
But please fix things with your wife. Remember the pledge you’ve made when you guys got married. Don’t forget that promise.
Don’t Let a few adverse situation separate you guys!
It takes just one of the two persons to take a step back,
    and make the other understand.

Take care man. Talk to a close one: Mother? Father? Sibling? A real friend?

52 Days in, going to try to be productive, study or learn something new. I've been lazy everyday and just expecting to have my dopamine receptors fixed lmao. Any suggestions what i should do?
I started animating 2D stickman animations, thinking i should try playing the ukulele, being more social and all but any other suggestions i can do?

I mean i'm just a kid doing nofap lmao but anything challenging like cracking a code, solving math equations, anything!

    Okay,
    1. Explore stuff: Coding, Math, Biology, Drama, Art, Sports?
    2. This is hard: Find what you like. You should like the process of doing that. A word of caution: Just coz you like a certain popular personality popular for a profession doesn’t mean you like that Profession. So find out what you like.
    3. Start digging deeper into what you like.

    Good luck! :)

  19. Congrats on 52 days! Thinking_differently had a really good response, and I'd just like to add some additional thoughts to it.

Think about it like this: All the time regularly wasted on PMO could instead be regularly spent on a specific hobby of interest. Over time, you will gain a skill that you could potentially even use to financially support yourself. Over time, whatever you spend doing often is what you will become proficient at, so fill your time with those things and later you won't regret it!

I'm currently getting into building my body, nutrition, video production, coding, and reading. I personally think that working out at the gym is important for every man and others will know that you are a disciplined person just by looking at you, and that will lead to a better life down the road. If anything, I recommend getting into this one the most! It lays the groundwork for discipline and self-control in many other other areas and will help you slowly ease out of that cycle of laziness.

  20. I've been having prevalent wet dreams and am now going to actively make a deliberate effort to stop thinking during the day about fantasies and stuff like that to fully ensure that I stop having them. I do feel responsible for having them and need to start taking action to prevent them.
