PMO in a relationship

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Aug 31, 2020.

  1. Hey all, I'm new here but fascinated by the possibilities of being porn free. I am married to a beautiful woman and currently have an addiction to porn of various sorts ranging from straight to gay. I am aware of and can attest to the problems that arise in a sexual relationship due to porn. I see a lot of posts about abstaining from PMO during the rebooting stage. I'm aware that I can abstain from PM, but being married and sexually active with my wife, O will occur. Is this okay? What do I need to know? Thanks in advance for your suggestions and support.

A married guy here, and I can assure you that you will eventually develop a PIED if you keep PMO. stop before you reach a point where you can longer get aroused by your wife.

  3. I agree and have already experienced this on occasion. My main question is while quitting PM, O during sex with my wife is acceptable, correct? And is it just acceptable, or more so encouraged or discouraged?

From my recent experience “read my last post”, it’s HIGHLY encouraged. It’s actualy key to fix your PIED/end flatline/rewiring your brain.

Csats recommendation is 90 days no sexual stimuli at all, not even seeing your wife naked. This helps in several different ways, teaches you delayed gratification, that you can live without sex, and it gives your brain/body a chance to heal. That being said, my husband and I only made it 52 days, had sex then 50 days. This was after trying for 4 months without abstaining. My husband kept struggling so we decided to take the therapist advice lol. Of course the 90 days abstinence is not very popular here, lol!
