    I somewhat agree with @12ove {Not Anymore}. Why stop M and O ?
    I think only P is the problem. {
    My mistake}
    Porn kills love , degrades woman and it changes the brain.

    But what makes M a bad thing ?
    • I don't think it's bad because we loss semen . Old semen are lost naturally through wet dreams.
    • What's the problem , if we masturbate 1 or 2 times a week - in a controlled and scheduled basis ?
    • And I read somewhere , that masturbation doesn't really cause any health problems.
    I'm not saying this - For justifying Masturbation is a good thing .
    I just couldn't find any reasons - that makes Masturbation a bad thing .

    Hope you guys could help me .

    update :
    Masturbation is bad - with or without porn.
    Thanks everyone , For helping ..

Then decide for urself if thats a good lifestyle. If u get control u cld mo but be careful. every1 is different

    Masturbation without porn can be bad.

    I can only give my own case as support for that statement. I have been masturbating for 37 years. However, I only got a computer about 7/8 years ago. Prior to that I had never seen porn. Let me tell you, masturbation without porn was the bane of my life for 30 years. I was totally dominated by this rotten habit. I want to stop forever!

  4. Nah man, MO without porn is still unnecessary. As you said, the body takes care of old semen, so you don't have to worry about that. But if you MO after a reboot, it will push you back to porn, I can guarantee that. I did 90 days hard mode before, fapped afterwards and it didn't take two weeks, and I was back at square one. Took me a year to start nofap again. Also I'm yet to see anyone who managed to maintain a healthy masturbation habit after 90 days.

    Maybe it's not as bad as full PMO, but it's still a bad idea.

  5. The quickest way to dismantle the pro-masturbation argument is to examine what the actual motives for masturbation are and simply holding them to the light of reason. I have yet to come across one that doesn't squarely fall into the "addicts lame excuse to indulge category", for instance:

    This is that weirdly popular fallacy of: it occurs often in the past, therefore it is natural, therefore it must be good. So uhh these must be good to then?: prostitution, child abuse, slavery, racism, rape, murder, war, cancer, cholera etc. etc???... besides the sheer ridiculousness of this kind "natural" argument I find it really hard to argue that P is in fact "unnatural", certainly museums could easily be devoted to P as well... explicit erotic depictions have been around for thousands of years.

    Another common one is "but we need a release"... This is simply not true... you need a release exactly like a smoker needs a cigarette...

    ...so...

    Just go through the list of motives to do so... you will find there are no "good" ones...

    But you asked "why is it bad" not just "why is it not good" this tends to take me longer and I'm only going to try briefly now..... First let me say I am simple too pissed off at the world to give a shit about rules and morality... that talk is all hogwash and gobbledygook to me... I prefer to frame things in terms of "what will make me happy" and "what won't make me happy"...

    So why will fucking yourself not make you happy? Simply because you are missing out and cutting yourself short. The beauty and joy of sex is about connection, more at a spiritual level than at a physical level, but even at the physical level it is still about connection. Masturbation is at it's core the same as porn in that it objectifies, it takes one myopic aspect of the process and reduces the process to that. By doing that you change a "want" (of sex) into a "need" (of getting off) that actually works against your ability to have meaningful relationships. I doubt it is practically possible to masturbate and have a truly meaningful relationship, or at the very least: it's going to make it much harder for you to get and keep one. For the masturbator sex with another person is likely always some form of objectification, disconnection, self worship.. e.g. using another human body (as well as your own) as tool to get off... for sure this was the case with me. Perhaps I am simply an addict.... perhaps there are those who do not have this problem.... who do not become objectifiers of others and self, (even though they habitually indulge in objectifying others and themselves...) but even so, we end up back where we started: why would such a person, (who can masturbate without fucking themselves up) even want to masturbate? What is the attraction to do so?

    Coming from someone who have masturbated habitually from age 14... So thats 11 years. In 11 years, this is my first time in my life that I've gone without PMO for more than a week, let alone two weeks.

    I was addicted to both porn and subs-supplemented masturbation, and just normal masturbation (without porn and/or subs).

    After quitting P on 29 November 2014 (and relapsing several times until 8 June 2015) I went back to normal masturbation, but nothing really changed.

    I've been attempting at no PMO for two weeks now, and haven't relapsed since I've started. \o/ YAY.

    Anyway, back to my point. My life has changed dramatically after quitting (P)MO. The masturbation habit seems to have negatively affected my sleep patterns, my natural zest for life and stopped becoming a boredom cure.

    While it's hard for me to find medical research on the negative side of habitual masturbation, there is a wealth of information, feedback, success stories etc of the positive effects of quitting masturbation - many of which I can relate to.

    ok, i think I am gonna go for a run without M..however I really hope I do not flatline, how many people experience a flatline after they stop Ming?

    for the record I have had plenty meaningful relationships, and at the time I was generally Ming at least once a week usually more..but I guess those relationships were long distance, I can see how it would be detrimental if you were with someone every night.

    Sorry, but what does "to flatline" mean?

  11. Flatline is a period of time when you don't experience any sexual stuff. You don't think about it but even if you do, the body will have little or no reaction. Erection goes away, you feel like you lost your sexuality whatsoever. It usually goes away in a week or two, and can occur multiple times during a reboot.

    Personally, I don't think it needs too much attention.

  15. I do something else for an hour or so, and the horniness goes away. Also, after staying clean for 3 months, you won't get horny for no good reason...at least me.

    I think that is something that is up to you. I myself masturbate for the release. For ME the biggest thing is changing the way I think and doing my best to not watch porn. And the WORST is when I do both at the same time. Message me if you have any more questions about this. Not all of this is so black and white.
