I opened up about my PMO addiction to work!

    Hello fello Fapstranauts.

    Today I finally admitted that my PMO addiction was affecting my job. I work in a safety critical environment meaning I need 100% concentration at all times.

    PMO was affecting my work life because I felt drousy all day, worse during early and late shifts as well as being lazy and short term memory loss.

    I'd say this was a harder addiction that drugs or alcohol to admit to someone at work including your manager. But because I work in a potentially life endangering environment it made me admit my problem rather than risking my job.

    I hope this gives anyone else out there who may need to open up to their workplace!

    One week today since last re-lapse!

    That takes big balls and heaps of maturity. You have my respect! Have you told your family? Because that is where you will get the best support. They love you and can help you to stay accountable and support you with practical things. :)

    Cheers guys! I was able to confidentially email my manager so I didn't have to do it face to face, and I do feel much better after getting it out there in the open. I haven't told my parents becaus eit isn't really affecting my home life too much. :)

    Balls the size of grapefruit. But you’re right last thing you wanna do is die or kill/injure someone else b/c a binge kept you up all night.

    I hope they can help you! Maybe they will want you to talk to a counselor or something. That is not something that I have ever heard of someone doing, but most people do not know that PMO can be an addiction.

    I feel sorry for people going through this as it's really not needed, it's just lots of bad advice on forums like this. Quit porn, no need to quit masturbating. It's a lot easier and despite seeming like it would take longer you can see how most fail so it's not really a longer option.

    Good job bro. I wish I were more honest like this. I have shared with a number of people in my life but its still really hard. I still have so much shame. I hate it. I hate shame.
