Arrived in Algeria on schedule today! Can’t say this country was on the top of my bucket list, but it was fascinating to walk through the streets of Algiers and explore the desert and dunes in Taghit. I also watched a video on Algerian food, it looks quite similar to other North African and Levantine favorites -- although I won't be traveling there in real life, I do plan to get a tagine and cook some of these dishes!

That was amazing! I never even imagined that NoFap can be this fun!
Thanks @discovery for creatingtcreating this thread!

I'm in Day 6 already (though without porn it is day 14) But still I would like to start from the scratch. So, I've watched the video on why travel is good. But where is the passport video ?

Kindly consider my application for a passport!

Welp, would like a passport, please. Been four days without P, so can my application be already accepted or do I have to wait more three days?

I relapsed yesterday. So, I should wait for 3 more days to be eligible for passport right?

Thanks Venkat! That means a lot to me. You watched the right video. The passport video was really cool and interesting but it eventually got removed from Youtube (who knows why) and I replaced it with this one. And as to your second question, it's my fault that I didn't get back to you in time when you initially posted, so don't worry about the relapse. Your passport is issued! [IMG] Congratulations man, and welcome to the Travel Board!

Welcome, Tucker. You already have enough days for a passport, so just go ahead and watch the travel video at the top of the first post (and mention to us that you have watched it) and I will be happy to issue it. And since you are at 6 days now, in 4 more days you will be able to travel to Afghanistan! Enjoy.

    Hi guys,

I have visited Afghanistan! My first travel to this beautiful country. I had no idea this place was so green, and that they have snowy mountains. In some of the sceneries it looked even a lot like Scotland, although I am sure Afghanistan is much dryer.

Looking forward to my next travels!

Just back from a great trip to Argentina. I love hiking and had always wanted to go to Patagonia, so found a hiking tour there and signed up with them. Spent a couple of days in Buenos Aires at the beginning and end of the tour, and wandered through the City's art galleries practicing my poor Spanish and eating delicious meals.

Then I flew to Ushuaia, the world's southernmost City, to start the tour and met up with an enthusiastic group of fellow hikers. Spent a few days in the Tierra Del Fuego National Park, and spotted albatross and penguins. From there we went into the interior to Torres del Paine (which is actually in Chile) and hiked around the glaciers and mountains, viewing more fascinating flora and fauna including the nandu (a type of large, flightless bird) and wild guanaco (similar in appearance to the llama). Then back to the Argentina side and to Moreno Glacier and Mount Fitzroy.

Returning nicely fatigued from the hiking and rejuvenated by the glorious nature

@Steven1983 - Congratulations on making it to the main section of the Travel Board! You have been awarded the Hatching Chick trophy. I'm glad you enjoyed Afghanistan.

@Zori - Another excellent report! You made a smart decision to spend so much time in Patagonia. And visiting Ushuaia gives you some awesome bragging rights!

@Venkat19 - No worries man. We will still be here, and so will Afghanistan. We'll be waiting for you.

Hope you all had a Happy Halloween. I went trick or treating with my sister and nieces and it was definitely a strange and surreal night doing it with the background of Covid-19. But the kids still had a great time!

Andorra is such a tiny cozy country!
never knew about this country before, thought twas in South America but it's situated between France and Spain, kind of their protectorate
no airport, got there through France,
people are said to be friendly
it's famous for low taxes and for ski resorts,
mountainous view is also great in the summer
it's said Iceland is the safest country but so is Andorra i think..
language used is Catalan, but also French&Spanish
hard to get citizenship and doesn't allow double nationality
    got only one uni

that's a country i could imagine myself living in, reminds me of another town in France called Chamonix, with the Mont Blanc

I went to Austria. There are Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbrook, and many other places to enjoy. I love the winters there; they are beautiful.
I went to the hot springs at Bad Gastein in the mountains. Amazing!
    Worthersee has really cool caves.
I thought Austria was a truly gorgeous place, and I really enjoyed my time there.

As I have passed 110 days, in addition to passing 100 days, I went to Azerbaijan as well as Austria.
Azerbaijan is very cool. I like the Shah Pilaf, which is a kind of a festival food, but you can get it any time, so I tried it. Mmmm
I almost got lost in the old city's alleys. This was in Baku.
There are some really old buildings, and some extremely new, modern ones. This is an amazing city of contrast. I like Baku.
Azerbaijan has a lot of beautiful natural areas, which I checked out. I enjoyed hiking in the mountains and camping with a fire at night.
All in all, I really enjoyed Azerbaijan. It was unique and wonderful.

@intso - Nice! Yeah I see what you mean about thinking Andorra was in South America. It sounds like it should mean 'Land of the Andes' or something like that. This challenge is such a good way to learn about the world because it forces you to pay attention to some places that you never hear about otherwise.

@DudeAlex - no worries my man on doubling up on the reports. Austria and Azerbaijan, hard to get two completely different places. That is the variety of travel. Glad you had fun!

Congratulations guys and Travel Board Updated!!

Have been away from this challenge for a while now but I'm excited to get back into it.

For the 10 day mark i finally was able to visit Antigua & Barbuda. I really enjoyed my time there, as expected the beaches are absolutely stunning, and the water is cristal clear, it reminded me of Belize that I had the pleasure to visit irl last year.

For the more unexpected but very interesting parts of my journey, I was pleasantly suprised to find alot of museums that gave you a window into both maritime and colonial life.
Probably the most intriguing discovery though was a place called "Devil's Bridge" it's a peculiar rock formation that has been dug out by the ocean. It's a beautiful place where the forces of nature are fully on display, it's history however is quite grim, as during colonial period it was used by slaves as place to commit suicide.

On a more cheerful note it's highest mountain is called Boggy Peak, but during 6 years it was called Mount Obama :)

Looking forward to my next trip to Argentina in 4 days

    Albania:

I explored most of this country with couples and a few bros. Here's my report!

This beautiful country is a perfect description of what communism does to a country. There are concrete bunkers and a weird pyramid made to celebrate communism that I saw. Instead of celebrating the beauty rather it's a country that was all about protecting itself rather than enjoying the beauty of life. It worshipped the government and you see the mess that, that brings. I think this is a good description of what man does when he wants to control others. Every person needs to love the others and those who are hurting others are the problem. Protect the innocent and take care of the guilty. Albania is a good picture of what communism does to a country. And I'm so glad they are no longer suffering under that philosophy.

The food looks amazing. The people seem great! Hospitality for foreigners seems like it's much better than movies like Taken make it to seem. From the videos I watched at least the cities seem to be getting to be 1st world.

The mountains are amazing. The beaches look gorgeous. I'm glad I got to explore this country.

I haven't checked in since October 21st where I had one extra day. On October 30th I reached 10 more days without porn and I've banked 8 days. So I will head off to my next country before I reach another 10 days: Algeria!

I was about to start researching my next destination but decided I need to wait another 10 days. Yesterday I wasn't as clean as I'm trying to be and got caught up in browsing some (non-porn) sexual content at times. I didn't completely relapse but I can tell by the way I'm feeling today that it will take a couple of days to settle down. I need to be more careful.

@belio123 - Good to see you back my man! Congrats on A&B. Yes, I also have been to Belize in real life and I see what you mean. I imagine that A&B is similar in many ways. Argentina is right around the corner!

@dandausa - Glad that you liked Albania. It's a shame, yes, that there is so much of a scar still left on the landscape of the country by its Communist legacy. But, in a sense it also serves to make sure that we do not forget the past and repeat its mistakes. Algeria is coming up for you soon as well! Keep at it.

@Zori - No worries Zori. I'm happy to see that you're holding such high standards for yourself. We'll be here when you're ready.

Checked off Andorra today. Visited with the quintessential travel guide, Rick Steves himself. Their capital looks like a giant shopping mall.
