    @benjito15 You have what it takes, my friend. Just like with anything in life it takes persistence and continued effort to achieve something. Based on your post, you already know what you need and must do. Bring out that part of yourself. I believe in you.

  5. Day 14..One more day to go...Urges hit real hard yesterday but self talk helped and got through it...Anyone has any idea how to get rid of these sudden, random and unexpected urges?

  9. Day 100 completed. Super Saiyan 3.
     
  10. These do happen to me from time to time. I call them blitz-urges after blitzkrieg a swift offensive attack.
    I try to fight fire with fire and respond with fast offensive counter attacks.
    Instantly drop all electronics, move somewhere where you are not alone, go for a walk or best of all, take a cold shower.
    Nothing kills an urge like having icy cold water drop on you!

  11. That is great advice and very kind words, thank you very much! I will look for and implement a way to remind important things to myself in different times in different states of mind!

  12. Very wise words indeed Slider8.
    These are great questions!
    To help cope with the stress knowing what I know now, I would first take 10 minutes to meditate. Going for a walk would also be very beneficial.
    After that I could write my negative thoughts down and use simple CBT techniques to expose their irrationality.
    Then a great thing to do would be to text my girlfriend, expressing my stress without blaming her and asking for reassurance.

    Success is not about doing things perfectly, it's about getting back up again when you fall down, over and over.
    It's about taking responsibility for your actions, reflecting on your mistakes and committing to try reaching your goals in a better, smarter way.

    I would recommend you read "Whack: Addicted To Internet Porn" by Noah Church.
    Look it up it's free. It will give you the knowledge to identify things you are doing wrong and visualize the path to freedom from addiction more clearly.

  14. Day 6 checking in.
    I also have great news!
    After more than a year of unemployment, I finally got a Python Developer role for a big company which makes me very happy!
    Persistence and patience conquer all things fellow Saiyans!

    Yeah those intentions are good but you wouldn't be able neither meditate nor walk without coming back to the source of stress, if i were you I would start writing on paper all the things I like about my girlfriend,about my house,about my parents,about my life and about my goals ,about the things I want to achieve in my life.This would take my mind out of evil stressful angry thinking spiral into a positive one.Then I could go for a walk or do a meditation.;)
