day 3,4/90. No urges since day one.
quick motivation: For all you guys who could never made it to more than (lets say) 20 days. My highest streak is 77 days and trust me guys when you are almost close to your 90 days goal, you feel that sensation in your body. Your body tends to make you feel the way you have never felt before. Guys It's worth a shot.

Hey everyone, I know I’ve been inactive for a few months, sorry. I was doing well and decided to ‘do life’ without the forum for a bit. A lot has been going on in the past 2 months, I’m talking major life changes. Here’s a quick update about my nofap journey thus far I relapsed around august 16th, and bounced back quickly. I beat the last streak of 83 and made it to 88-89 days before I relapsed again recently. I truly need help, support, and accountability from other like minded and strong individuals. Please reach out if you can help. I’m not sure of the exact reason why I’m relapsed, it’s probably a multitude of factors and triggers. I’m determined to get up again and to succeed. I think I need more support than just logging in and being active on the forum. As a man, I know I need to get a handle on this.

  5. Do you have a journal? If so, I'd suggest putting a journal link under your name (if you want others to see it easily, that is, which might not be your thing).

If not, then starting a journal is my first suggestion. More than just being active, it really helps to write down your reasons - why you want to quit, what effect porn has had on your life, what you're aiming for, and record triggers, strategies etc, all in one journal, so that you can review it when you're tempted.

Then there's a whole bunch of other things, but I don't know where you're at in terms of life stuff, strategies etc. If you've only been on here since May and have already had a couple of 80+ day streaks, then you've started way ahead of many other users. Still, best not to allow complacency or overconfidence to get in the way. Keep pushing.

Thank you for your response. I do have a spiral bound journal/notebook, although I haven’t been successful in writing or reviewing it regularly.

Yes, I’ve definitely experienced a bit of success in terms of streaks and even almost completing a full reset in hard mode twice.

I have some idea of the dangers and harmful effects of pornography and addiction in general, however I still find myself questioning, having uncertainty, and not having full clarity in terms of my long term goal(s) with all of this.

In terms of strategies, I’ve utilized these forums and an app on my phone to check in and measure my streak.

I have a lot to share on this topic, but it’s clearly to long share with a forum post. While streaks are a great way to measure progress, it’s not the whole picture. And I feel like there may be some other important unresolved issues that may be affecting my progress.

Congrats on 92 days, very impressive!
I already exercise regularly and have been meditating every day for years, so IDK... :( I guess my low self esteem is just too deeply rooted to be affected by activities like this.

    Day 0

I know :( Starting again, not giving up or making excuses. I am going to a neurologist tomorrow for consultation. Feeling really tense and have hard time sleeping, it probably has to do with the overtraining I have been doing + staying at home for so long + winter weather and short daylight days getting to me. I will get over this stress :) Need to get it together!

I think with self esteem approach it in the area your experiencing it in.
Self esteem is basically lack of confidence in your self and you have to work on those areas, you have low confidence in.

I used to have low esteem in my body and I started lifting weights, when my body started getting muscular I gained alot of confidence in my body. I might not be there yet but so far I feel the results.

Then I had low esteem or anxiety when talking to girls, so I decided to talk to them, meeting strangers around university and starting conversations, now I have improved and can hold long conversations with the girls

So look for those areas your experience low esteem in and start working on them.
Doing meditation and exercise arent bad but they may not be solving the area you experience low esteem in. If it's losing weight then exercises will do.
