Day 58/304: I have 1-2 better days once every 3rd week i would say. Not where i wanna be at all. Still hoping im one of those cases who suddenly notices rapid improvement. PMO paws must be one of the hardest things ever to beat and go through. I hope im nearly there. Too many years spent on paws. The social anxiety and anhedonia. When that goes away i will take on the world! Working with anhedonia and anxiety for the past 3-4 years have been so hard. I have learned a lot in this time and i believe things happen for a reason!

Hey bro! Sikreodds97 was my biggest inspiration and now you are starting to become one too! The fact that you are still soldiering on even after 3-4 years is remarkable and you should take great pride in that! Because you have some good days every couple of weeks I would say is a great sign that your brain is healing. Im at 10 months and things are starting to get somewhat better, fortunately, but insomnia is my biggest problem.

Just wanted to give you some tips om what has worked for me:
    - Meditation. I know this is a common one, but the quality of your mediation is equaly as important as the duration/frequency of your sits. I warmly recommend the mind illuminated. I notice as i progress during the stages, that my symptoms are easier to deal with and even subside a little. Especially the anxiety.

    - Going caffeine free. I got pretty brutal withdrawals from caffeine as well, but after i quit i noticed that my symptoms started to improve faster month by month. Check out r/decaf, sort by top - all time and read some of the posts. I really underestimated caffeine.

    - Dry fasting. This is also one of the things that have helped me the most. I do 16:8 dry fast, and it seems to help my anhedonia a little bit, not to mention the mental clarity.

    - Lion's mane. I believe this mushroom also have helped my mental clarity and anhedonia. I use Nootropics Depot 8:1 extract, and recommend this one :)

    - Keeping tabs of your daily mood score so you can more easily compare your progress month to month.

You probably have tried some of these, but I just wanted to give my two cents, as well as a big thank you for your posts! Even though you are still experiencing paws after 3-4 years, you really inspire others, including myself, to continue fighting. Just like Sikreodds97 v.1's spirit!

Yo thanks a lot man. I do meditation from time to time and i am also caffeine free. Dry fasting seems to stress my body a lot and make my symptoms worse unfortunally. Im scared shitless of supplements who deal with the gaba and dopamine in the brain hence why i havent tried any yet.
Good luck on your journey my man!

Day 89/304: My libido has been coming back since a week ago after a wet dream. No mental changes, anxiety has been bad lately. Sexual thoughts are coming with my libido rising so i need to be aware and conscious.

Day 95/304: Been having some rough days lately depression wise, but today has been much better and i feel more connected to my emotions and lower anxiety. Which is nice. Its no where near normal but its something and getting one of those days once in a while is nice. Its a long road.

Day 102/304: Strong urges today because im hungover. Libido has been coming and going, sometimes i get morning woods. Wet dreams are a pretty rare thing which is nice. Anxiety/depression still there. Gotta keep moving and reach my goals!

Thanks for keeping this thread up. Been watching mostly for your updates re: PAWS. I've been doing nofap on and off for a few years now. Never gotten a streak of more than around ~55 days (but I'm starting to take it more seriously now so here's to hoping). Anyway, I'm dealing with PAWS too. The anxiety is my worst symptom usually (depression too but I prefer the depression to the anxiety personally), but I also get breathing problems sometimes, accompanied by fatigue. By breathing problems I just mean heavier breathing (needing to breath out my mouth to get more oxygen after just moving around a little too quickly). Have you experienced anything like that?

I drank during my last streak but felt it was a stepping stone towards relapsing so I cut it out for this streak to see if I have better luck.

Do you have a girlfriend? If not, I'm just wondering how a guy with severe social anxiety is managing to get laid.

I am above average looking so sometimes i can get away with being an anxious mess with girls, which i am really happy about. But the right now in my journey i see "getting laid" for what it actually is. Just another programming that porn did to our brains. Semen retention all the way and then karezza with a GF when we are healed. Ejaculation is absolutely poision for the mind

Cant say i have experienced anything like that, but PAWS symptoms are different form person to person. I would recommend making this "streak" your last in your entire life. You dont wanna mess around for years before getting serious. Semen retention benefits after PAWS are just waiting for us, female magnetism, insane happiness and confidence, what are we waiting for? Go get it

    Post acute withdrawal symptoms

Basically another word for flatline. It happens when the brain has been fucked so much that it needs a couple of years to recover

113/304: Having an "okay" day today. Been very tough lately, lots of depression and anxiety. Its a nightmare, but i know it will end. It simply has to.

  15. Someday, you'll see the fruit of your patience. You're in a phase that'll go away.

@sikreodds97 , did you ever feel better and feel improvements on your 5 month streak and 3 month streaks from the past?

No. I would have days where i feel better and stuff but i havent noticed progress in general which is very upsetting after so many streaks and years. Before PAWS hit in my early streaks i would ride the benefits i would get. I used to get insane benefits but then paws hit and the healing phase started and it faded away.

With paws there are people who suffer for 18-30 months and then suddenly its like a switch and they are out. And then there is people who have progress gradually and get better over time.
