Rolling Stone Magazine is shitting all over NoFap now

I just hope that truth will prevail against the odds only because it is the truth.
In numbers terms, we are vastly outnumbered and out-powered, it's like someone trying to shout the truth in a city filled with high powered mega speakers saying lies.

No mainstream media will ever say anything against porn (Unless NoFap becomes so popular they can no longer ignore it), this includes any major digital platform.

And the saddest part of all this is that the vast majority of people fighting things like NoFap are themselves simply useful idiots, they've been indoctrinated into some sort of liberal ideas that porn is good for you and they will parrot their masters unawares.

 

I did not know about the dennis-kruger effect, thank you! Despite i noticed myself this phenomenon, along with how much these "hipsters" (that is how i call them) spreaded with this covidiocracy.
I'd like to add something to this.
I may know the reason why awareness grows so slowly within the, say, 80 % of people. It is related to physic. Quantum physic, maybe.
We have all been tought at school by mainstream pop science that the enthropy measures an evergrowing disorder... well... seems not to be so... maybe things are the opposite... what if enthropy measures the order? And what if does not only measures order but even... consciousness? I know that in some physic experiments have noticed that the observer of the experiment might influence the result of the experiment depending on his consciusness!
And is not all... enthropy, and the order, and consciusness and awareness grows when you unite and stops growing, or at least you slow it down, when you divide.
What does this have to do with us, with rolling stone, with covid, withe the fact the a minority is always beyond the others?
1. A minority of people has something inside, something that that has more consciousness then the other parts, something that knows just because... knows. She has always existed, she knows how the universe is made because she has the vector of space, the vector of energy but... lacks of the vector of time. Since she does not have it, she is like completely spreaded on that physic axis, she has no idea of what time is... so, technically speaking, is immortal. Why do i say she? Cause is what the ancients called "soul". Geberally speaking, people with a soul tend to have more rapidly growing consciousness.
Second. The establishement has only one way to slow down or stop the consciousness growth: divide. The ancient romans said "divide et impera". Currently we are divided between left or right, republicans or democrats, cov-idiots and conspirationists. Those who wear a mask vs those who refuse it. Fighting one against the others. What they are doing is to slow down the process.
Third. If i am saying this, is because consciusness is growing to a dangerous level, dangerous for them. They have no time left, so they have accelerated the process so rapidly... so they are triyng to take the world now. Now or no more. That is what covid is all about.

Separation does not exist, duality does not exist, everything is connected, even masturbation and quantum physic. ❤

I believe that he grossly misrepresents the meaning of coomer. In this case it appears to be just a meme. Some memes are directly tied to the alt-right but I can't say the origin of this one is political. And I see no intentional misogyny or anti-semitism or homophobia in this image either. It's just a humorous depiction of people who jerk off excessively.

However, it could easily be argued that the vast majority of the people who post this meme are far-right chuds, as the author implied with this quote:
"No Nut November and the Coomer meme represent a deeper meaning,” [Twitter user TeapotLad] said in a tweet. "Porn is evil. It literally re-wires your brain and causes erectile dysfunction. Take the pledge. Don’t be a Coomer."

In this case, coomer is being used to shame people who watch porn at all, and simultaneously promote pseudo-scientific claims. Also, I have never heard a single person describe tobacco or alcohol as evil, despite their harmful effects being more unanimously recognized than those of porn. So what element of porn makes it evil? Asking these chuds that question would probably reveal a lot. Essentially, they use the same type of bullshit arguments you would hear from religious fundamentalists. THAT quote above, is EXACTLY why people hate NoFap, and why every day I am more ashamed to be a part of this community.

To everyone who posts pseudo-science and conspiracy theories about porn or the (((porn industry))) and thinks that jerking off is evil, seriously go to 4chan or something because you are just ruining the image of this site and no one will ever take you seriously. Stop trying to turn a health issue into a political issue, and stop attaching the name of NoFap to your bullshit moral crusade.

People say the same exact stuff on this site. And it makes me look bad by association. And I want to keep saying coomer, but I probably won't be able to for long. Even today, I get labelled a 4chan radical or incel just for saying benign shit like "normie".

 

You mean someone called you an incel on this site, or elsewhere? Either way its basically just a meaningless buzzword at this point, and people only use it when they have no actual argument, same with a lot of words that for whatever reason get popularised on the internet. Unless the person is being ironic in some way (I use a lot of buzzwords in this way, ngl) I just disregard anyone using them at this point.

Personally, I would say that the ridiculous over exaggeration of benefits, whether jokingly or not, is what makes people think NoFap is weird and pointless and/or cult-like. However, anybody who unironically thinks any group is a certain way based on shitposts and memes and not actual research holds an opinion that is basically meaningless and not worth listening to.

 

Well the government from Canada, USA, New Zealand and Australia recently formed a division to tackle online hate speech.

Maybe nofap is on the list of websites they are going to try and take down. These elite are crafty people but the same old same old will happen they will do whatever they want and everyone will sit their and do nothing.

I completely understand. And as the universe is one, everything is connected to everything. Mainstream media with freedom os speech with NoFap with health with covid and so on...

 

I've gotten a lot of posts removed over the last 6 months and I don't blame them for some of them I can get a little heated and over the top but a lot of times the mods delete any threads or posts that go against their views.

Honestly I rarely log in to this site anymore I just feel like nofap is like any other mainstream forum now. Censors anything that goes against their political beliefs.

 

If they aren't willing to hear you out on your own views and words, do you really care about their opinion?

 

It's about optics, my friend. The opinion of the layman absolutely matters because they are the ones who have the power to collectively determine public perception of this site, and if the average person decides that we don't look good, then the NoFap will suffer.

 

But that's the thing - a ton of people on this site don't give a fuck about research, they just made up their mind that porn is evil and shame anyone who disagrees. I want NoFap to return to a place of good faith academic discussion on the effects of excessive porn use, and a place to support people who feel like they are struggling with it.

At some point NoFap became politicized (from within, and maybe from without as well), and lost its positive connotative meaning. Now when people hear the name, they think of fundamentalists or people who condemn sexual autonomy. I would rather people see it as AA for porn addicts.

 

Sexuality became politicized so it is no shocker that NoFap has been swept up in it as well. The reality is there is nothing NoFap could have done to avoid the "fundamentalist" label. Unfortunately practicing abstinence in any form is going to be seen as extremism in a country plagued by lacientiouness.

Nah but seriously, I get what you are saying, but at the same time I think its more important to concern yourself with your own recovery that to concern yourself with the opinions of the uneducated masses. NoFap is always going to be seen as weird in a society that values hedonism so much, and while I respect the almost noble mindset you seem to have here with wanting to make the concept presentable to outsiders, its much too easy to manipulate perception regardless of the reality for it to make much of a difference, or one at all.

I feel like this is the kind of thing that happens whether its a site for porn addiction or a site for talking about Mongolian basket weaving. While I personally dont think porn is "evil" per se, I wont disparage anyone who thinks that it is considering how damaging it can be. I dont think its wise to actively police what people say on this site unless its actively hurting someone else or is blatant trolling. As someone who got suspended for calling someone who threatened to sick the mods on me a retard and who got my posts removed for saying I didn't like a certain actress, I hardly want this site to be more policed than it currently is, and become yet another place where people cant speak their mind due to some attempt to keep the place "safe."

I joined in 2017 and it wasn't like this, so this I can agree with. But I think this goes both ways. You seem to refer a lot to people who have what might be considered "right wing" views, but the opposite is also true in my experience. I've had, on multiple occasions, people insult me by calling me a deranged Trump supporter who believes in flat earth and other leftist stereotypes of right wing views, despite the fact I'm not American and have never said much of anything that could pin a political view on me. I'm not saying that these people should be banned, even if they are idiots, and I dont think people with right wing views should be either. The reality is sexual health is a politically charged issue in a world where western society embraces the exact kind of things that led to the problems people on this site have.
