    Hello everyone,

Male/25 yo, I'm glad to be a part of this community of improvement, and I find it encouraging that several people are not satisfied with their conditions but are looking for a better one.

For many years I have been dealing with my obsessive/addictive part of pornography in search of sexual stimulus, and I have always been aware of my fragility in this grotesque situation.
In recent years I have tried everything to quit, from the lightest to the most drastic decisions, and heard the opinion of several doctors during my psychotherapy sessions; unfortunately, I have reached a stage where the negative consequences for my mind are considerable and obviously, if I'm here I haven't yet managed to free myself from this obsession, but I haven't also lost hope.

Thanks for your attention, see you soon.

Hey, welcome! Thank you for sharing your story! You're not alone.
I would like to say some things..
Does anyone know about your addiction? Besides your doctors? You know... you need to confess. You need to talk with somebody about your addiction. That was the 1st step I made to start my recovery. You should start to think about a person, a really good friend or family member who you trust and love. It gonna take time, courage and it gonna be sooo hard and embarrasing to do it but also going to be sooooooo healing. Don't save anything, be clear and say it loud. It took me 6 years to do it but when I did it.. my life changed..
I would like to share this post.. It helped me a looot.. Take your time, take notes: https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?t...te-my-dopamine-receptors.166287/#post-1410049
And leat but not less... Set a realistic goal. Maybe 15 days to start.. then 30, then 60 and then 90 days..
I really really hope you can reach your first goal and do what you need to do to start..
    Good luck!

Thanks for the message @MexFighter , I'm glad you're on the right path.
I believe in empathy as closeness and help for us and other people, just like it is happening now with your message.

I talked about it in particular with my father with whom I have a sincere relationship. He made himself available, in the help and closeness even if, let me tell you, the burden is relieved but not removed.

In my opinion, others can help us with all possible closeness, but everything is generated within our mind, and it is there where other people cannot reach totally.

I have already set the first goal without "porn" which I will carry on.

I hope to hear from you.
