I'm feeling more and more overwhelmed with urges. I really don't want to relapse, I like my streak. Please help. How do I resist, I don't want to give up, I want to be free from this degenerate shit. Should I just fap without porn?

    Hi man.
It's a good idea to have a battle plan in situations like this. Go do something. Read a book, play a game, go do some sports.
Typically a hobby or two really help to keep your mind away from urges. Myself, I code, read biographies, exercise or cruise around on my longboard.
    Good luck man

I feel you!.. with urges like that.. I find it hard to focus on working, or studying.. so I recommend more to get engaged with some physical activities -- just go out for a walk change the environment around you.. run if that is possible.. or do some pushups.. try also to out with friends or family members.
Other than that.. try to read about the bad impact of watching porn. click on the Panic button.. this is what it is made for!

Keep the great work up! you are doing great!!!

  4. How you doing, @TheReddestFlare ? You still struggling with urges?
Hopefully you managed to stay on top of your streak, it’s a good streak.

All I can say from over this side of the world is, ‘the urge will pass.’ It’s our minds that fuel the urge. Your mind is more powerful than your body. Change your environment and you may have a better chance at changing your mindset and this feeling you have for a relapse. Are you chasing an image or situation in your mind? If so, stop the chase! Slap your face and dunk your head in a bucket of cold water lol. Do what it takes to get back on the track you decided to take on day one of your current streak. You can do it man!!! We all know you can.

yeah. tell me about it, feeling the same way. rewiring your habits aren't easy. thats why they have rehab clinics. just stay as busy and active as u can as soon as you get up, get a healthy morning ritual, then do a daily workout so by the time nightfall hits ur chances of falling asleep fast is higher.

  7. I've lost a 200+ streak once man, that's a feeling I'll never forget.
But over the time I've realized having many relapses is normal, having few is rather the exception(and tend to happen only to those not so addicted in the first place). I failed 15 times
and rather than seeing it as discouragement I had rather seen then as a part of the journey. "The obstacle is the way" some say. It's perfectly fine to feel upset (and unhealthy to recommend not to be so), but it is way better to see it as a trial and error journey.

See where it went wrong today, maybe you were tired and your willpower didn't work as well, maybe you saw some porn somewhere and couldn't resist, and there is also that devil-riddled thing when something pornographic pops out of nowhere and you relapse(happened too many times) - this is just bad luck, no one's fault. Try finding the mistake and adapt the situation so it won't happen again next time.

  8. Hey @TheReddestFlare, I'm sorry to hear that. We all know what you're feeling. And those that are so serious and committed to change feel it most. However, @NewGeorge is right, relapses are part of the journey. We embrace them, accept them, learn from them, and move on from them. Try to get through the relapse as calmly and positively as you can and then chin up and carry on brother. I know from my relapses that I feel so low and like you sometimes want to end it all. But I don't because I know it's all in the mind after a relapse. We are vulnerable and deflated but that's the time to dig deep and muster up the courage to keep pressing forward my friend. We're all here for you. We're all in this together. You got this man. Stay with us.

It's not down the drain man. Your brain has been struggling for the past 22 days, he got one blow in, but he's still weak. If you lay down now and keep letting him stab you, it's down the drain, but if you get back up while he's weak, it's not for nothing.

Hey man it happens. Just lost a 20 day streak a week ago. Longest streak I've had in a while but we'll get there again. Just remember that even though you relapsed, all the work you achieved during that period still helped your brain out a ton and will make it easier in the long run
