I am not a doctor but just wanted to show some light on this.
If you look at Stephen Hawkings, he still have hairs. And we all know he cannot masturbate.
What are your thoughts on this?

The only things I seem to find on this are people making personal accounts. Saying that they have experienced hair-growth, bald patches getting less bald ect.

It's a personal choice whether you decide to believe them or not.

Hairloss is linked to high androgenic activity. Androgens are highest after sex and lowest during a flatline. So yes, sex (including fapping) contributes to hairloss.

I personally think that there can be a link between these two.

I think it's just one more motivator.

I'm losing it slowly at twenty seven...which is depressing. I already have body image issues too

I figured that the possibility of growing some hair back is motivating. And if it never happens, maybe I'll get to the point where I just don't care anyways because everyone says quitting PMO dramatically boosts confidence.

Correlation does not equal causation. Just because hairless is linked with high androgenic activity doesn't mean that the androgens are the cause of the hair loss. There could be many, many other factors contributing to hair loss. There isn't enough research to back up this theory.

Guys , I observed that if you carry a goal with yourself then you shouldn't think about porn and even after that if you are thinking about PMO then try to persuade your mind that this is just a momentarily pleasure .
In Bhagvad Gita it is said that Sex is the pleasure which is just a drop in ocean in this material world and real pleasure lies beyond it.

yes...read my earlier posts, masturbation releases dht which causes hairloss, but its due to other factors like stress, etc as well.although one of the primary motivators for me to practice abstinence was to stop hairloss,i think reductions were visible, though cant be sure as i kept short hairs then

I don't mean to belittle your intent to help others and it's certainly wonderful that you're sharing your successes but I find it rather arrogant of you (or anybody for that matter) to claim that they have a foolproof way of stopping this addiction that will work for everybody. I read your story and it's good but you hinge your success on heavy exercise and installing a porn blocker on your browser. Two things: Not everyone likes to exercise and would probably find it difficult to motivate themselves to do something that is already harder than the very act of not looking at porn. Also, installing a porn blocker is not a foolproof way of stopping the viewing of porn. I tried that once and it was really easy to just deactivate the porn blocker and keep the addiction up. If you touched on the issue of motivation I think your story would be more accessible for more people.

I admire that this may have worked for you but please keep in mind that everyone is different and that what works for you won't necessarily work for others. I don't know why I feel the need to point this out and I'm probably a big asshole for shitting on your intent to help others, but to claim that you have some magical answer for a seriously complicated addiction is just lying to yourself and is disservice for those who read that post.

I'm sorry if this seems attacking... False truths really irk me. I wish you the best in your struggles.

To start off, I would actually like to thank you on behalf of questioning me. I'll get straight to the point:
    1. What I meant by "heavy exercise" was not that it will break every bone in your body; rather, exercise which will tire you out.
    2. The motivation to exercise, or my prime motivation itself, was to stop watching porn. It was the very principle that if I could stop having these temptations, it would all work out in the end, and I was happy to try anything... as long as that thing was not something unhealthy.
    3. I don't think I touched on this, but the porn blocker, in this case I am referring to K9, does not exactly over-block, or under-block anything; depending on the mode you set it to, it'll force you into Google's safety mode (i.e. porn free) and it'll block you whenever you try to access pornographic content. Now you said that you could easily disable another one, well, I can remember explaining how to make it impossible to disable K9 in the thread! I'm serious when I say it works. Heck, i'm making use of it now, and it didn't block this site. It even blocks immodesty in Google images too.
    4. I'm not lying to myself. I'm not lying to anyone actually! Unless something is physically stopping you from exercising that a doctor has prescribed to you, then that is a different story. And I mentioned at the end to do it at your own risk because you may not have consent to exercise for whatever reason. But other than that, it will work. Also, its not magic, it'll take a little determination and effort to do anything. You are given a free will for a reason, so you need to make the most out of your life. To be honest with you, I was determined from the start that if anything could help me stop having these extremely annoying temptations, I was willing to take it, even if it meant that I would have to do some work. I wasn't lying with the title, if you follow the steps, it'll be extremely difficult to get yourself back on that thing. An your intention shouldn't be to follow the instructions to continue the habit so that you can prove me wrong xD.
As I type, I have no urge to watch or look at anything immodest!

On a final note, again, I do not feel disheartened. It could have been a lack of explanation from me that would not have allowed you to understand what I meant, but i'll keep that in mind in case someone else asks the same things. I guess I should've explained them. If you have anything else to say, please don't hesitate. I'm listening. And thank you for the wishes, I also wish you the very best in your journey of struggle.

I think watching porn late night is really dangerous to hairs as you are sleep deprived and you won't be exercising next morning. So your overall health will degrade.

I'm not completely sure why I got all uppity about your confidence that this process works... and honestly, I have no reason to be as I believe you when you say it works. I think it was the 100% attitude that got me. There is no one sure-fire, one-size-fits-all way to overcome this addiction as people are too different and will respond to different things. I pretty sure what you say will work for a lot of people and I'm also sure it won't work for others (it won't work for me, that's for sure, but that's for totally different reasons... which is my point). Either way, this site's all about support and you've been nothing but supportive and I want to recognize that above all else. Huzzah!
