Day 5 and I’m feeling alive!

Yesterday I went for a run of 2k, I’ve meditated, and even my sex life had gone better with my girlfriend.
I still got up this morning and just had a crazy craving to look at porn, or even just at random boobs / sub-porn. and I don’t know how to make it go away. I wasn’t even horny, it was just the thing to do in the morning.
But I’ve stopped myself and started my day and now I feel so much better.

All of you with the morning craving, what did you change in your morning routine to start the day right?

I'm a hobbit again! @RiseToGreatness Can you change my rank?
Had a great weekend and feeling good this Monday.
    Let's stay strong everyone!

  8. I think the biggest factor is your attitude to urges. You can either consider them unbearable and PMO or you can just dismiss them because at the end of the day, they're meaningless -- which is similar to deciding whether to procrastinate or to do what you need to do. Obviously your brain wants the easiest path (PMOing and procrastinating) over the harder one because that leads to pleasure in short amounts of time, the regret coming afterwards.

Another thing to consider is the reason why people even PMO in the first place; it's because there's something missing in their lives (whether they recognise it or not) which makes people think they need that PMO high to be happy/content, only for them to become addicts before they even realise.

I'd say the best thing to do is to get out of bed and get things done ASAP. Go on walks in your kitchen if urges come -- listen to peaceful music. Meditate and exercise if you're interested in doing so. Do your chores and do work. Journaling can also help with figuring out when and why these PMO urges come up and what the source of that is. It's also important to remind yourself that it isn't worth it -- even if you do feel pleasure during PMO, I think we all know what post-PMO clarity is like.

When I have morning cravings I have the habit to stay in bed, but that is the worst thing you can do. A relapse will be right around the corner.
Stop fantasizing, stop fishing. Get up, take a cold shower. Start the day with something you enjoy doing or try looking forward to something you are going or want to do that day.
Take a moment and be happy with yourself that you got out of bed and stopped fishing.
Sometimes we put too much focus on the future, but try to take a moment to be happy with yourself right now.
Also something that helps me a lot, don't take your phone or laptop to your room. Leave it somewhere, that when you wake up, it's somewhere far away. When you have urges, you would first have to walk to your laptop/phone and by the time you arrive at your laptop/phone you have enough time to change your mind and do something else instead of act out.

Day 45–halfway point to a full 90 day reboot! I have no intention of stopping at 90 but nice to mark the milestone. I think this may also be the first time I’ve done this without psubs and fishing, which was always my downfall before. That gives me a lot of hope.

Day 83. Feeling some urges today. I had a series of wet dreams last night and did not sleep very well. I will need to stay diligent today to manage any triggers that come up.

    Day 186!

It is very important to become conscious of your every action. This takes time however. And just when you feel like you are conscious you might find that you weren't actually there and you grow from that. The point is to increase the amount of time you say to yourself, "I will be conscious..."

Many brothers have provided many tools to help in this recovery, use them, everyday. Remember them. Keep them a part of who you are. Even if you don't agree 100% with many of the "tools", try them for a few day, even a couple of weeks.

    The journey continues!

first of all stay away from eletronic devices. starting the day with smarthphones and social media will mess up your dopamine really bad. i only engage in eletronic devices after 90 minutes of being wake up. i meditate, do some light exercises, take breakfast while reading a book, get dressed, etc... and only then i open the laptop to work.

change your morning routines bro, it makes all the difference.

    Monday check-in

I became a hobbit on my birthday last week! Off I go!

@RiseToGreatness 's post above [before the one about updated ranks] hits home, thanks for posting it! I get on social media almost first thing in the morning and it has to stop. It used to be manageable, like reading the morning paper, but now I scroll for over an hour. It's time for me to quit that.

Today I have already cold showered, said some prayers, and done some mindful breathing. I am going to do some writing, and then I'm going to map out my tasks for the next several months. I must get back into lifting and working out this week.
