You could try the updated version of fapsecure. It was tested by @sparcoz and he reported that YT and reddit are back to normal. Thank you, sparcoz!
Let me know, if you still have problems.

Like a dual boot setup? You could remove the other OS from GRUB or whatever boot manager you're using and then wipe the partition that other OS resides on. Restoring the windows bootloader might be a pain, not sure what that would involve.

Do you use an iPhone? how did you successfully block cause I want to do the same on my iPad and I'm failing. I tried the methods that @xXsinnerXx recommended in the first post, but I can easily reset my Screentime password with my Apple ID. There was a suggestion to create a second apple ID and then delete the email permanently, but I'm not sure how to do so. Please any help offered is appreciated.

    hey @BeingBett3r,
Sorry for the late reply. But I am still waiting to get my hands on iOS 14 iPhone as mine is still on 12. Will get back to you if I find a solution.

    @BeingBett3r
You'll have to tell someone to enter their Apple ID or create a new one here:https://appleid.apple.com/account then enter it when setting up Screen Time. You don't have to enter your own Apple ID.
Just use a random not very long password and save the Apple ID and password on lockbox.pluckeye.net

Thanks a lot, brother, for your words.
I think this might be the solution.
Don't use your Apple ID when asked to enter an Apple ID when setting up Screen Time.
You'll have to tell someone to enter their Apple ID or create a new one here:https://appleid.apple.com/account then enter it when setting up Screen Time.

Just use a random (not very long) password and save the Apple ID and password on lockbox.pluckeye.net

    Have you tried doing that??

I'm on that right now. I created a throwaway email that I'll delete, but they're asking a phone number as well to verify me. So I'm looking for a throwaway number service to use. Once I do so, I'll inform you

So just to confirm, enter the new Apple ID when setting up screen time passcode, and then if I need to remember the screentime code, I can only use the new apple ID to reset it. (which I can onbly acquire from Lockeye anyway, so it should be a good way to keep me "protected" for now)

guys, I would like to know if Filterlock is free to be uninstalled. I have a Chromebook and am considering migrating back to Windows, but I don't know if there is any way to block uninstalling Filterlock, or even password restrict access to the control panel.

Sorry for my english by google translator hahaha

Right now, you can't remove it at all.
Unlike fapsecure, you can't uninstall filterlock. I know this needs to be added in the future.

So can Windows blockers be easily uninstalled or deleted? If so, is there any way around this?

My plans are to go back to Windows and do something that does not allow the uninstallation of blockers, the use of Clean Browsing and blockers of websites and browsers. I am also trying to find out if there is a way to block "hosts" file access.

I understand that if I had Windows I would be able to solve these doubts. Thank you very much for your attention to me

All of the blockers for Windows listed here are protected either with a password or a delay. You won't be able to remove them easily.

    I sent you a pm

You could test them on an old PC before switching back to Windows.

I have been able to set restrictions on my iPad (also works for iPhone) using a new Apple ID for ScreenTime.

As has been called out few comments above, use ScreenTime settings and have a trusted friend lock these settings with their Apple ID. If you don't have that, then use the steps below

Here are the steps I adapted from @xXsinnerXx, mistakes I made and recommendations for anyone using this method:

    1. Create a throwaway email as you will need this to verify your new Apple ID. I used Gmail for this.
    2. Create a throwaway phone number as you will need this to verify your new Apple ID. I used Textcaller app for this.
    3. Create a new Apple ID:https://appleid.apple.com/account
    4. Select a random password for Apple ID you can't easily remember (I used https://passwordsgenerator.net)
    5. Verify your email and phone number with the code Apple sends to you. (Note: I selected the call option instead of text for Textcaller number, and Apple called to provide the code)
    6. Once Apple ID is set up, save the Apple ID and password on lockbox.pluckeye.net. This service helps you in case you ever really need the password. You set up a delay on how long to wait if you actually need to access it.
    7. Delete your new email address and delete your new random number. You don't want to be able to reset your Apple ID password. If using Textcaller app, select the "Request a new number" option within the app settings to delete
    8. As extra protection, download NextDNS or go to nextdns.io, and download their default mobile config. Cleanbrowsing DNS works too.
    9. Now, set up your ScreenTime settings. These are the ones I turned on:
      1. Downtime (restricts your access to certain apps/services at the specified time). You must turn on the "Block at downtime" option. Mine is 9.30pm to 6am
      2. Always Allowed (Apps you still want to access during Downtime)
      3. App limits (this restricts how much time you want to spend on an app. Remember to select the toggle "Block at end of limit")
      4. Content & Privacy Restrictions (the most important settings of ScreenTime)
        1. I restricted install apps to age 12+ (this prevents mixed apps such as reddit and twitter, my primary triggers) but next time I will restricted to 9+ (prevents installing Imgur, TikTok as these are 12+). Also an extreme settings as you may lose out on some apps that you actually need.
        2. An extreme option though is to disable installing and deleting apps. This disables the app store and permanently hides it. June Edit: This is an extreme setting because your apps do not update if you disable installation of apps. So keep that in mind)
        3. Allowed websites only (the most extreme option for Websites but I chose this - I only allow my banking sites, job search sites, apple site, google account/setting pages and haircut reservation sites)
        4. Ensure that everything content wise is set to Clean setting: Movies, TV shows, Book Store, Podcasts, Video)
      5. Once ScreenTime settings are confirmed, set up a random screen time code and then use your new throwaway Apple ID + Password to confirm. DO NOT USE YOUR APPLE ID, as this defeats the purpose of these steps above.
      6. You're set. You can only access your allowed websites and any apps you have on your phone. Your Safari browser disables Incognito mode. And at your selected downtime, the apps blocked during downtime cannot to be used. You also cannot install new apps, or can only install the ones for the age group.
    Steps I should have taken:
    • Save my Apple ID and PW on lockeye with delay
    • Choose allowed apps at 9+ instead of 12+ if I still wanted the app store
But this offers me more protection on my iPad than ever before, so thanks a lot @xXsinnerXx

Their site (https://my.nextdns.io/c7b7fa/setup) says Manual configuration Requires iOS 14, iPadOS 14, tvOS 14 or macOS Big Sur.

But for other iOs devices, they say
    1. Install our official app from the App Store.
    2. Open the app then go to Settings and toggle "Use Custom Configuration". Enter c7b7fa as Configuration ID.
    3. Enable NextDNS

Thanks a lot for the detailed steps!
You could block custom apps. This will need Supervised mode. I'll let you know when if find an easy way to do it. Are there many unsafe 12+ apps?
Also, this method is better secured using supervised mode.

Thanks, man. I'll edit the guide and add your steps.

Yes there are a few, and I don't mean this to be a trigger. But Tiktok, Imgur, Discord are all 12+ on the App store, and can be a trigger if you're more insistent on looking for p, instead of looking to sobriety. Musi is also one to be carful of. It's a Youtube mirror app but without comments and channels. If I could go back, I'll set my app at 9+. Downside is: you lose a few productivity apps that are actually useful so it makes sense to disable app store permanently after downloading all the apps you need

Not too familiar with Supervised mode. Have you written about it? Can I still apply it to my device? And no, thanks, you've inspired me to want to learn programming to create blockers

There maybe a potential fix to this by using Screen Time Family sharing. There is still lots of stuff to be tested. Basically, you would a new apple ID with no app purchases/downloads and you'll set that apple ID to the age of 13. Then a friend would add you to his family using family sharing and will enable the "ask to buy" feature so you can't download/purchase any apps to your account. Then this friend will allow sharing of purchases, this will let you get into the apps that he has downloaded and use it to download apps. Your friend could hide apps in his app library from you. Whenever you need a new app, you would just request it but your friend should never approve it. He should download it from the app store and it will be available to you, he could hide it anytime. If you downloaded an app directly through your account, you will never be able to un-purchase it, if it proved to be bad.
I have made my device enter supervised mode successfully using a mac but I have failed using a windows PC. I will try to add to the guide when I find a reliable way.
Great! let me know if you need testers!

  19. Thanks a lot..... I was just curious as to how have you blocked your macOS or Windows ...if you are using one of them.... Please keep posting in this thread... It helps..
Does NextDNS use VPN..? If so... is the VPN easily removable..?

Very interesting Thread. Very much useful information. I view this thread as Equivalent to the Tips and Tricks for starters and even those struggling with P. I was a K9 user. Followed up by Pluck-eye. Used Block-Site, and DNS changers, and all those stuff.

    IT WORKS.

I do not use them anymore because I have the 'level-headed' approach I initially started with.

    But in my down days,
    these were my saving grace.
I recommend this to anyone. And I will share this thread alongside the Tip and Tricks Thread.

    Some key benefits;
    1) developed an ability to rest with phone on bed comfortably, knowing I would not look at anything.
    2) Less SCREEN time.
    3) Confidence in my browsing, lack of hidden history anxiety when someone picks up my phone (HH is something I would have to explain in another thread probably).

I do hope everyone engaging in this develop the same habits I did. And consistency is key. A few clicks and a few taps to remove it, WE ALL KNOW. But many times, in the act of disabling the block, I was able to stop myself. That precious time. The 1 minute, 2 minutes is takes to disable the blockers, is a saving grace. That's where your real decision-making comes in... Do not fail yourself.
