Well said, bud. Agree strongly. I find that I still need to work hard to control myself. Because I've been in situations without blockers. So consistency is key!

Unfortunately I don't have a personal computer , only a work pc that already blocks stuff and restricts me from installing any files or software. For macOS or Windows, I'd recommend going to the beginning of this thread and read all the blocking options @xXsinnerXx posted for all device types. And then try it out, and give your feedback. Also read through the replies, as people have given their reviews, and you can reply to someone and ask specifically for help.

Regarding your NextDNS, yes it is a VPN. I've only used it on my iPad. Not sure about ease of removal but this article,
https://vpnreviewer.com/nextdns-review and their forum https://help.nextdns.io/category/discussions might give you what you need

If I remember correctly, there are some un-installable services in the threads above, so just skim through and actually try to see what works. What exactly are you struggling with? What devices do you want to block? What have you already tried?

    Hey @Loving,
Thanks for your feedback and support!
I'd love to read that Tips and Tricks Thread for starters, even though I have been here for almost 10 years so I am not really a starter. But who knows, maybe I could learn something new!

@Mostly harmless I think NextDNS is very similar to DNSCloak. I hope we could do something using supervision.

  5. OKay... but supervision of DNS works in iOS 12+ ? If nextDNS can't be removes easily then that it is the go to option rather than DNSCloak. One can try Supervision and explore the options. But when you supervise your iPhone you shouldn't restore you iCloud backup right? Because I did that and my iPhone lost its supervision..

I do have a lot of productivity apps, and I haven’t yet disabled Installing Apps in Restriction Setting only the Uninstalling Apps, as there’s no way to update the apps, unlike before where I can update apps in iMessage (App Store Add in). I have Covenant Eyes installed though as an added safety measure in case I was tempted to download certain apps and browse porn there.

I just wanna ask as I can’t test it yet since my AP is away, If I set the App Store to 9+, will it delete the apps that I already downloaded that is not within this age range restriction? or will it just restrict apps from the App Store itself from being downloaded?

I did the same thing. I disabled Uninstalling Apps but enabled Installing Apps. I wasn't too sure if you could still update apps so I chose to enable App store, instead of disable it. Covenant Eyes is set to 17+, so makes sense to still keep it.

Yes, If you set the apps to 9+, the setting hides your apps that are not within the age restriction (apps from 12+ to 17+). They're still on your phone, but they're neither accessible nor visible. It will also restrict apps within that age range from being downloaded

Oooooofff I see. Thank u so much for the update. I also have set the restriction settings of my iphone, same as what you’ve posted above. My only concern is wiping my phone either through Find My App or itunes recovery mode. I’m still waiting for my Macbook to be returned in order to set up the supervised mode advised by xxxsinnerxxx. For now i disabled iCloud on my iphone in order to disable the find my app, and disabled account changes. Thanks again.

I need to look into Supervision mode. Who chooses the settings?

  10. I wanted to know that ... after you supervise your iPhone , if you restore your previous backup, will supervision be gone? I did that twice and when I restored a previous backup, my iPhone was not supervised..

Hmm not too sure. I'm yet to try the Supervise mode. @xXsinnerXx any thoughts?

You set up the settings and lock them using a password.
You could just delete or lock the backups somehow. I'm not sure if going back to the unsupervised state using a backup would disable the profiles that are already installed.
    Okay, here are the steps:https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?t...rvised-mode-without-wiping-your-phone.305431/
I haven't uploaded any example profiles, yet. Still need some testing.

Exactly! It seems that entering supervised mode is the easiest part. There are too many options that you could get lost in

Is there a way to use fapsecure without deactivated comment function on YouTube?

Fapsecure should enable comments disabled by cleanbrowsing DNS. Youtube comments should work normally

Is this your first time to run fapsecure? Have you tried any previous versions?

Sorry for my late reply. I had my final exams.
I can't find the new link from Fapsecure unfortunately.

Another question. Do you know a good way to limit the time on a website on Windows? e.g. Youtube can be used for a maximum of 30 minutes.

  19. Nice thread! I personally use a combination of LeechBlock and StayFocusd extensions in both my Chrome browser and Microsoft Edge browser (thank God for the Chromium update. The list of blocked sites are automatically transferred to Edge from my Chrome browser). StayFocusd in particular has the ability to block the extension page, therefore preventing you from disabling the extensions. However, you have to set the time limit to view the blocked sites to the lowest number possible (1 minute) since StayFocusd requires you to provide a time limit to view the blocked sites. 1 minute is more than enough for you to disable the extensions, so what you wanna do is open the extension page each morning (when you're too busy to fap), leave it on for a minute, and the time limit will be depleted, effectively killing your temptation to disable the extensions.

As for my phone, I've reached the point where I barely use it anymore to watch porn (my laptop has become my "daily driver" for this) thanks to the collaboration between AppBlock and BlockSite. I even went as far as blocking Google Play Store on certain hours to prevent myself from installing Firefox Lite or Epic Privacy Browser because for some reason AppBlock and BlockSite can't detect the forbidden sites if I open them through these browsers.

Additional info: Stay away from DeviantArt and Pixiv. Those websites might seem harmless at the surface, but they're nasty. Real nasty. I know many digital artists who make awesome pictures rely on these two to make a living, but if you're still unable to control your urge, you have to block them until you have a better control over yourself.

The same problem happened again with beltor. I don't know if I will be able to fix it.
I think @Mostly harmless knows better. I know you could use Cold Turkey but it requires the Pro version.
