Fapsecure does that automatically. You could also do it using pluckeye:
    pluck + block twitter.com image/
    pluck + block twitter.com video/

Have you fixed the safe mode issue??

I wasn't talking about that one. It's about the many keywords in the configuration. I am not sure if they are better to be removed.

  3. I'm sorry.. could you be more specific ? Oh you think that too many keywords cause a problem ?

Short keywords especially those consisting of 3 characters like *vpn*

  5. @xXsinnerXx I think you should mention in the thread that CT free version can be used with the Blocklist you gave. I'll send a new one with all the latest browsers and alternate programs which are blocked.

  6. Yeah.. some urls may contain those ....dysmally. But sometimes you'll get false positives when extension is crashed.

Bro, that would be GREAT!!! Really appreciated!
I guess it's better to remove those. It already blocks a lot of bad stuff, it doesn't have to be 100% sensitive.

yep, Cold Turkey restarts when you end it from Activity Monitor.

Bro, could you write about your system on windows. How you protect the files and other stuff, maybe in a new thread. I know it would take a lot of time but it would be really helpful

  9. I'll send it to you. Why new thread ? It's better if all the methods are in one single final thread so that users will not get confused. They don't have to waste time searching the internet.
For now.... you can block porn completely in Windows 10. I don't know about advanced users .... I'm not an IT guy... But for an everyday users.. you could do it.

Since you said so, I believe it's possible.
btw, I know some IT guys who get problems while setting up blockers like pluckeye. I don't think bypassing porn blockers is a skill that anyone needs in their cv.

Made edits to the post. Confirmed two things while applying these restrictions to my iphone this weekend:

    1. For #4.2, ensure that Automatic App Updates is turned on in Settings>App Store, and your apps automatically update
    2. Will include his username when I find it but if you set up Supervised mode on your phone and activate the setting, NextDNS VPN settings can not be overridden or disabled.

    Done.
That's great! You know, the problem is that most VPN apps on the app store are 4+ rated. I tried to enforce a VPN before but I failed as Always-on VPN profiles only support IKEV2 VPNS and not VPNs added by apps. If we could enforce NextDNS VPN, then people could allow installing apps altogether. We will be waiting for your update

  15. Don't the in built iOS screen time restrictions filter out content in websites even with VPNs on ? Apps can bypass though. I used a browser with it's own VPN which I will not name, that doesn't use any of the protocols you mentioned... and content was filtered.
BUt supervision is a pain in the ass :)

You're spot on man! Combining Restriction settings in Supervised Mode + NextDNS VPN seems like the perfect way to restrict iOs if you still want to install apps. I dont have a personal PC yet, but hopefully that changes this soon and I can tweak and play around with it.

You're right, but it could be used to bypass other filters that are not built in like DNS filters and filters put on the network. Supervision takes a minute, if you're using mobicip. Also, you won't need to wipe your phone or backup anything. Most of the work is with creating profiles.
Looking forward to see your method!

In-built iOS restrictions filters out content if your website setting is set to the second one "Restrict Adult sites" but it doesn't always restrict everything. That's why I set it to the last one, "Only allow specific websites".

Everything else is blocked for me. I tracked my browsing history for a month to observe my most frequent sites and apps and allowed only banking, job search, hair cut appointment, daily devotional sites.. Everything else is blocked (google, all forms of social media). I simply don't want to take the chance.

But like @xXsinnerXx suggests, there's gotta be a way to use VPN and Supervised mode and have content filtered out.

I just tried doing that again and I failed. It's possible to enforce a DNS configuration profile using supervised mode, that's easy. The problem is with VPNs, I tried disabling adding VPNs but it only worked for user added VPNs not VPNs added by apps. I tried blocking installing configuration profiles but that didn't block VPN profiles. I looked for a way to use Always-on VPN, but this only works for IKEV2 VPNs. That's why I am really excited to know what you have found!

Does anyone have a router recommendation? I just found out I can't change DNS servers or use IP filter on my router due to my ISP and router model. Living in a small space that doesn't need serious reach.
