Hope you alright mate. Currently considering getting a Windows laptop in a few weeks. The first thing I'll do is to install the blockers on Page 1 for Windows OS. Just checking if the blocker tips have been updated, and what the accesses/restrictions let you do.

I primarily would love to access email, Udemy web dev courses, and coding forums/websites, as I'm looking to learn web development. If it's possible to block Google images, and your tips have that covered, please let me know! Cheers

Thanks, man! I'm fine. I haven't added much to the windows blockers, only a way to enforce browser extensions using pluck. Also, replaced the recommended locking method of Cold Turkey to password. I don't remember I made other changes.
Great. None of those are blacklisted by the blockers.
You could do that using Cold Turkey and pluckeye.
    using cold turkey:
to block the google images search add this:
    *tbm=isch*
to block the google videos search add this:
    *tbm=vid*
    Using pluckeye:
    pluck + flee word tbm=isch
    pluck + flee word tbm=vid
I haven't tested the pluckeye method long enough to make sure it doesn't block safe google searches.

  7. Hey guys,
Can someone help me us here , please ? In Android we need to block recovery mode so that user cannot reset phone from there. Or we need to protect bootloader , maybe with a password or something, anything helpful. Android is better for addicts and it is a little less restrictive compared to iOS. iPhone is good too but you need to put more work into making it safe with profiles and such. I know that we can undo android by flashing but that will take some time. If someone knows a way to prevent factory resetting please help us out here. That is the only problem left in Android. If that is blocked it will buy a lot of time. Users with samsung knox can use that and see if resetting can be blocked completely.

I know an app which can prevent you from powering off or restarting your phone. But it can't help if your battery dies and you decide to boot into recovery.

Hi xXsinnerXx, thank you for your great work.
I installed all of these on my mac but went a bit too fast when I locked Security & Privacy. I gave the admin password to my girlfriend but I forgot to remove the admin password ask when I close and open my macbook. Now Security & Privacy is greyed and I cannot remove this setting.
How can I disable the "lock and security" profile so I can change this setting that make my computer unusable.
    Thanks,
    François

    Hey François,
Open System Preferences>Profiles and you could remove the profiles from there. The default removal password is nofap unless you have edited the mobileconfig file. Changing the admin password is done through the Users & Groups pane. So you'll have to remove "Enforce Blocksi extension" profile.

Digital Detox, its actually not made for that purpose, install it
1)Allow all apps except settings (Allow your Homescreen app)
2)Tick the BLOCK STATUS BAR OPTION.
3)You can schedule your block time or just do it for 30 days.
4)Its impossible to bypass ,so make sure you have allowed all the important apps you need.
It might seem a bit confusing but its good. You can't use your status bar and bluetooth etc. Very annoying. Use it if your desperate or do this

I don't think you need it
Use family link and make a random password for the child account. If you reset you need the password to use the phone because google has factory reset protection for android devices

I actually feel sorry for guys who still want to have internet access, but want porn and artificial sexual blocked to the point they can't access it. I genuinely feel sorry for guys like this who have no idea how to go about creating an effective blocking system for them self.

I know how depressed and upset I have felt many times over the years when I have discovered certain loopholes.

These days even if I discover a minor loophole it makes me really depressed and obsessed to fix it.

So the best solution is cutting off internet access completely??

No I would struggle to do that. But as you know I have gotten rid of my smartphone and every device I can access porn and artificial sexual stimulation on except my laptop. Then I have an effective blocking system on my laptop.

You also know how much I freak out even when I discover a tiny loophole lol. I mean I would probably be freaking out even if I could access safe search google images lol

Thanks a lot, it worked perfectly.
Any idea about how to block torrents and peer to peer? I blocked it through Sophos settings but I'm still able to download them with Transmission...

Having all these devices and constantly relapsing vs getting rid of a lot of devices, having the system I have in place, and hardly ever relapsing.

I know which one out of the two of these makes me feel much worse.
