This is true to me. I'm still turning 2 yrs. since J started doing nofap. I think those relapses worsened and prolonged my recovery period.

You can and others as well try Kali Phos homeopathy medicine. Although I'm still having bad sleep but it's much better and I'm going to increase my dose of this to see if It can help me sleep much better.

  3. This past week had been pretty rough for me. I had mentioned that I started having horrible back acne during flatline and that it recently went away. Well this past week not only did I feel like shit but my back broke out again. It went from looking clean to looking like I had measles.

It sounds crazy but I believe the back acne is related to semen retention and post withdrawal. There have been no other lifestyle changes or diet changes to give me a plausible explanation.

But not all news is bad. After waking up this morning I let my mind wander a little bit before getting up from bed. I ended up getting a solid steel erection that stayed with me for a good 5-10 minutes.

As a result of going through a long flatline I've changed my perspective on erections and sexual energy in general. For most guys the default thought process is to rub one out if you have a hard-on in the morning. Certainly that is what I always used to do. This time I was letting that sexual energy circulate throughout my body. I believe people that fully heal from this process eventually have perpetual bliss from the energy that is constantly radiating within them. This is based on the little glimpses I've personally experienced.

I'm back in flatline again but getting that morning boost definitely put some pep in my step. There is a long list of chores I need to do this weekend, I'm going to start knocking them out as fast as I can.

For reference, today is day 540 for me. I'm one week away from finishing 18 months.

Unfortunately I can't give any medical advice on that, bro. Just a play of thought, as dopamine is also involved in motoric functioning. When the brain has to readjust itself to dopamine-related changes it might show up as problems with balance and movement. I certainly had my share of that and I've heard similar stories from people talking about drug-related PAWS. Restless legs syndrome is also connected to dopamine signalling, so there could be an explanation of the electric shock perception of yours, as your brain needs to balance itself out dopamine-wise.

I wouldnt worry too much about it, though. I witnessed those symptoms fading as time and abstinence went on. I hugely benefitted from meditation to train my brain not to focus on all those scary symptoms anymore. I guess I would have had quite a number of visits to doctors and hospital if it hadnt been for my deep conviction of symptoms being strong but transient. On the other hand, it might as well provide relief to learn that there doesnt seem to be any visible medical issues by having a thorough check-up. I once had MRI due to movement problems, yet nothing visible to report. By now, I am fine again. Movements and balance are back to normal.

I started this PMO journey in 2016, I read success stories of other guys who did PMO and I thought I would have a flatline for 8 months at most but I was disappointed to learn that I had damaged my body for years. PAWS take a lot of years guys and it sucks

My walking also feels off most of the times. I think you’re right about that dopamine related reasons as it plays a big role in motoric functioning.

Around the time that I began crashing/kindling/whatever, sometime in late 2019 or early 2020, one of the first serious physical problems I noticed was a burning or vibrating sensation in my hands and feet, which for some weird reason seemed to worsen after I ate. I actually suspected at the beginning that I was developing diabetes and that this was neuropathy, because I had had a blood test that showed slightly high sugar. But I saw a neurologist and nerves were fine, plus my doctor retested me and blood sugar was fine too. Fortunately, this symptom has dramatically improved over the last six months or so, so I have to assume it’s also a part of PAWS.

  10. I don't know our symptoms are related such as the "back" thing. It's seems like blood hasn't circulated properly and it's all come to semen.
Each time my tests produce sem3n, the body eats it and all I could hear is cracking noises.
I've noticed it took 3-4 months harmode in my case for the back area(upper to down) to start improving and another 3-4 months.... and so on till it's healed completely.

  11. Whoever posted the collected writings of sikreods, can you repost that document? The one that interviews the guys who recovered from PAWs? I think it was @Humanexperiments but I'm not certain.

I tried to but it was a file I had already saved to my hard drive.

Thanks. And if not, then whatever. It's just a nice thing to refer to every once in a while.

@sikreodds97 maybe you have it? Don't know if you're the same guy.

I want to ask the people here
The symptoms for paws started for you before nofap or after and if it's coming after
Why if we came back to PMO we didn't feel better or same as our normal life before

I believe there is some connection to insulin, glucose tolerance or sth similar in the brain as I also had issues with this in the past. I became literally confused and disoriented after a glucose test once. Yet, blood sugar normal. About 5 years ago when the addiction was it its worst I tried to change my diet and went keto for a week. Thought that would fix my brainfog but it rather almost killed me. In the following months I had to eat sth every two hours in order not to faint or get confused. This is so strange all and science will have to catch up on all these issues with PMO and PAWS. By now I can have gaps of not eating for hours without problems. I'm even doing intermittent fasting every now and then. I think one's brain really get fried by this addiction and needs lots of time and rest to recover. Focussing on healthy lifestyle alongside

Can PAWS occur as a result of only MOing or only after P? I abstained from P for the last 67 and still I get PAWS symptoms such as anxiety, tremors etc. It occured yesterday right after a M relapse.

Well, this is a question often asked, I suppose. I think P and MO for a longish time can change your brain. These changes are of epigenetic nature (DeltaFosB in the reward system and stuff) and probably due to massive dopamine floods. So in order to reverse such long-term changes, one might be forced to refrain from flooding one's brain with dopamine. P leads to this kind of flooding, as is evident. MO will cause that, too, depending on the degree of intensity and duration (edging?). So maybe it is wise to go without MO until the brain has restored itself. Or at least limiting MO to a degree of lesser intensity and not doing it very often. Same with sex. Just my two cents. We are pioneers in this field

Thanks a lot for your answer bro. Well, it was PSUB content, to be honest. Not the real P though. But I still think it was enough to trigger PAWS as I didn't go "all the way" into P, if you know what I mean? And yeah you're right about the fact that we are pioneers! Its a shame that science doesn't give a shit about this. Its obviously more important to study gender issues and "inequality"

I'm curious though, about the epigenetic nature of the changes. Source?

Back acne is a common side effect of steroid use. Maybe after all this time of abstaining, your testosterone levels(or your sensitivity to it) has risen to the point where it's akin to taking steroids.

As a rule of thumb, just abstain from all forms of sexual arousal, period. I've had noticeable negative effects from PMO, MO, sex, and prolonged periods of just thinking about porn / sex with no O. And Psubs are really just P - they can both produce arousal, but one is perhaps more socially acceptable, so it technically isn't classed as P, but it if it causes arousal, it is.

It all involves doing the same thing to your brain - stimulating the same circuits and pathways, and leading to the same results. I fell in to the trap of bargaining with myself for years, like "MO must be better than PMO, so I'll probably be alright"; it might be, to a small degree, but it's just setting you on a less severe downward spiral - you'll still end up in a bad place, it will just take you longer to get there.

I know this may sound a bit of a doom and gloom response, but this is my experience. Grab the bull by the horns and go hardmode now - the sooner you start, the sooner you will see the benefits!
