Hey guys, I could use some practical advise on overcoming my addiction. Over the past several months I've really fallen into some particularly heinous things and worry about my physical and spiritual health. Currently I am at a job where I am working and being housed with roommates but still find enough isolation to give in to my urges. Any advice on how to keep up the pressure and stamp this thing out?

Hi, I also reduced my isolation time by 95% or so. But these few hours per week in which I'm actually alone at home amd have the ability to PMO are super dangerous for me.
I guess what helps a lot is that I keep being aware of the danger and take other precautions, like spending time here, occup

  4. Yes and no.
Device: You can fantasize about porn and unfortunately it's just as bad as watching it for your brain ("What's the difference between watching porn and thinking about it? The mouse")
Urges: The dangerous part is, we often resort to porn out of boredom, to fill a void and out of pure habit. Not so much we have REAL urges (those usually come after 2 weeks of nofap).

Yes bro you are also right . But we imagine so many things but if we saw them in reality it has a bad effect on our brain. Not is not same to imagine someone having sex and watching them to save sex. If you stop watching you feel the differences.

I recommend finding productive/ enjoyable activities. Walking, exercising, reading, learning a new skill etc. Add them gradually though since you do not want to overwhelm yourself. Journaling helps, finding why you relapse helps to prevent future relapses. God bless you on your journey!

Definitely feels like it is just a habit. It's gotten to the point where it feels like clockwork. Even if the urge isn't strong my body is fighting for what it wants. I Have to start doing my school work in more public places. If I am in front of other people it should be no problem. I just want so desperately to snuff out this problem and its killing me that I haven't yet.

Don't think of it as a habit, if it is a habit, all PMOer would have been living a happy life without "suffer" because we pick and drop habit all day every day. Treat it as addiction, because you're clearly dependent on it just like drugs, but luckily an easier drug to get rid of.

To TRULY get rid of this porn addiction, first, see how pointless porn is for it only brings unnecessary pain into your life. Second, understand, realize and articulate the idea of you're not sacrificing any "pleasure" for the sake of nofap, you're escaping from this disgusting mud pit of addictive new era drug.

NoFap should not be performed for the sake of the "SuperPower" it should be done for the sake of escaping this bad addiction.

    Peace.
