"I think guys with girlfriends, won't suffer with pied" definitely not true for me. I was married and had a great sex life but developed PIED from porn use.

I think your right. Need2rewire is more correct.

Like Need2rewire said, some people are addicted to alchol and some will never get addicted.

Now you told me your experience with P and M, I view things a lot differently now. I'm quite surprise that could happen to some one who has a girlfriend or a wife. Porn is deadly whether you have a partner or not.

165 days, well done. Be strong ;)

Quite right, surprised there is still people without one, they are quite cheap in amazon nowdays, bit annoying to get it in but apart of that is so cool, understanding everything from humans to squirrels is lit.

I don't think there are "casual" watchers. Ask them to stop watching porn and they'll be facing urges in a week or so before ultimately slipping. Once you start watching porn, and you come back to it not just for curiosity (which was the starting point for many of us in the beginning), but regularly, you're an addict. The only difference between us is the intensity of our respective addiction (be it once a week, 3,2 or everyday). As opposed to alcohol which many of us can live without and not experience the need to drink.

Agree 100%. I think so many consumers would not tick a box as 'porn addict' on a survey unless they tried to quit for a month, or even a week.

Many guys will flick through instagram or similar apps to get a bit of a good feeling throughout the day. If they were to imagine a porn addict, with a dark room and 100 tabs of hardcore porn open watching for hours, they would not associate with that definition at all. Yet they may have the same habit of avoiding discomfort or boredom with some kind of sexual media.

Porn is addictive in nature. It's very rare to watch porn casually and not get addicted. The dopamine involved in porn use might even be stronger than crack cocaine.

And yet it's the only addictive material that's available for free, in an unlimited amount, anytime of the day, and anywhere. It's even promoted and widely pushed in mainstream culture under its soft and form.

I think a very large percentage watch porn. But there are also those who prefer not only videos. But also photos. I don't see what the big deal is. The main thing is not to overdo it.

I think many people are simply unaware of their own addiction. We are all affected to some degree. Some include it in their habits and keep it regular but do not feel the need to watch it constantly because they are busy, and some are more prone to PMO and fall in the pit without any limit. Personally I never (used to) watch it everyday thought I already had some peaks 2/3 times a day when relapsing. I couldn't stop coming back to it every then and now. That's addiction.

Are you talking about PMOing to images?

  20. I think it comparable to caffeine in Western societies. Everyone consumes caffeine willy-nilly, it's only the ones who try to stop consciously that experience withdrawal symptoms and therefore realise they are in the throes of addiction.

The only difference between "casual" porn users and addicts, is that the latter have actually tried to stop at one point.
