I dunno. I guess I was thinking along the lines of a immersive virtual environment like in Sword Art Online. Not sure what the OP means.

 

Oh God no please this crap is getting worse all the time. Its already hard enough to quit regular porn!

 

I have just looked at images from Sword Art Online and it looks like a kids' cartoon, but no porn. I still don't understand what this thread is all about!

 

Virtual reality just means simulated reality, or using technology to create a virtual world that seems real to the person who experiences it. So virtual reality porn would be porn similar to real life, waking experiences. In VR porn, for example, you could have sex with whoever you wanted, do whatever you wanted to them, and engage in all kinds of fantasies because none of it is real, though it would seem very real.

I think it's one of the scariest things that's yet to plague us as people. I'm pretty sure the biggest draw for VR porn is the fact that as the 'viewer', there's a sort of solid illusion that the subjects in view are focusing all their attention on the viewer. I think that's quite a big deal. Either way, I'm not only opposed to that, but I'm just opposed to the VR concept in general, particularly in relation to entertainment. Call me weird, but I personally don't think immersing ourselves in technology in that manner is a good thing. Maybe I'm just an old soul...

 

I wonder if a time would come when even the strongest among us won't be able to quit porn and masturbation. Why can't techies focus their energy on something that is a shit bit more useful ??

 

It'll be dangerous, it will be come even more stimulating and addicting than the current porn. I feel bad for the generation that will grow up with this stuff.

 

Oculus Rift, the hardware company that makes the headset, is owned by Facebook. They can't control what kind of software people make for it. That would be like blaming Intel for internet porn because they make computers.

I for one am looking forward to Virtual reality(non porn), it will have many uses, You cant be against a product just because people may watch virtual porn. the only reason porn gets in every medium is people like porn.

Considering most of us were fapping away all day as it was, wearing a headset wont change a thing. The whole issue with internet porn is the novelty doesn't last, so we search for more extreme, the virtual reality aspect will soon wear off and the kink will remain priority.

 

I'm fucking glad I left my teenage years behind before this shit got invented!!
