    Obviously not everyone .

But it would seem like so many elements of human behavior social development ambition etc etc has been hyjacked for instant gratification many people rarely leaving there escapism

I remember when I was in highschool I very rarely went online ..

So people had to adapt and develop and you earned what you want

Thats what you had to do .... You came up between a rock and hard place there was no easy fix or online rants. Probably why physical violence was probably more prevalent something went down there was no talking it down or group rants ..

You adapted and life chipped you into a granite rock Leonidas. You sat in pain longer and had no other option but to change

Now people go to work . Watch porn. Rarely leave the house. Needs can be met without doing anything

  2. I think this is exactly right, and it's becoming more and more prevalent. You see people everywhere with their phone in their face. Rarely do you see someone who's paying attention to the world around them without the distraction of some electronic device.

I think a lot of people want to believe their needs are being met by endless hours spent on the internet, but they're really just numbing out so they don't have to think about the fact that their needs actually aren't being met. As you said, it's escapism. P is definitely used by many in that way, and it just leads to the eventual downward spiral. Even if people can go for a long time with unmet needs, it doesn't mean those needs aren't there...just as ignoring that fact doesn't mean there's no effect.
