Of course, tanks and air force will give you the option to level a city, but say whatever you want, small arms still make a world of difference. Control on the ground only happens through troops. There has been many examples of guerilla warfare to prove it.

When a system is completely corrupt, and a "policeman" knows no one is armed, he/she can easily abuse anyone not fearing any repercussions, in fact this is why things are brutal in Australia and they can lock down people as long as they want.

The Australian government confiscated guns relatively recently because they knew what they will be doing to the people might make them want to have them.

No matter how much a government is hated as long as they are not corrupt and keep their armed force in check it is next to impossible for a population to get rid of them without foreign aid which in your scenario the tribe would not provide, whats more not many people have what it takes to fight month after month, year after year of harrowing attritional war and there are some type of terrain that are just unsuited for it in the long term. Last time usa population actually experienced war was in 1861, the southern population had lots of guns no? fat load of good it did them.

Google uses HTTPS but your search terms are unencrypted in the URL. If it's another website like Facebook that's no problem. Agents have already hacked into your account and know everything about you.

In https the URL and therefore GET parameters are encrypted. So Google is. Unless your country has some kind of uncrypted portal that redirect your searches, they can't see what you do.
You can try at home doing a man in the middle.

So your ISP knows that you use Google and when but that's it. They could know what you do if they have internal access to Google and match your ip. But I don't think Google allows everyone to get access to their sensitive data.

For Facebook, I don't think your gouvernement hack all accounts. But it's likely that Facebook allows certain entities to have backdoor access.

The thing that you shouldn't forget is that Google, Facebook arent governments. They are American businesses. Their aim is to make money, not to please every government for whatever reason.

There are some alliances. But not all country work together for surveillance. Why do you think spy still exists?

Almost every form of corruption and secrecy that used to exist, still exists. And it only evolves with technology. If anyone is a big enough threat to the “powers that be” then they will definitely spy on you, and murder you. They collect everyone’s data in huge databases so that if they ever become a threat, they have everything there.

Incorrect. Search something in google then copy and paste the whole link here.
It's legal for a government agent to hack any of your online accounts here.
    Two words: Five eyes.

And you probably still don't believe me. You must be the expert. I've been studying IT all my life yet random people always think they know better than me.

People keep making the "There's no point defending yourself against a proper military" argument as though America didn't intervene in Vietnam and fail, and then intervene in Afghanistan and fail, all because of men living in caves and/or the jungle using outdated weaponry. A missile bombardment might level a city, but it wont go door to door arresting dissidents.

OK so that's where I'm suppose to be wrong. For Google I'm pretty confident on this because I tried to sniff https request so I know how it looks like.
And I work in IT for years(security is part of my job) so prove me wrong about the google thing, If you can sniff an https request and extract the get parameters without using a self signed certificate I would be impressed. Amazed even because that would mean you defeated tls.
What you told me to do has nothing to do with http being secure or not. You are talking about your client data. What you see is on your computer, its memory. I'm talking about network.
I could do a demonstration in dm if you want. I set up a Wireshark and I arp spoof my network.

5 eyes means 5 countries. So not all data are shared between all countries. If you are in those countries then sure, it's doable. My point is that not every country can access personal infos on everyone.
