I failed again brothers, and it was really bad. The triggers were under control until my parents got into a stupid fight over nothing important. I hate it and went to PMO searching for peace. You can bet I didn't find that peace. Now I'm felling weak again. It's the fourth time in sequence that I can't get over two weeks of abstaining. I wonder how I managed to get to 40 days. Who I was in that time? What did I do to get to that day? Anyways, I'm reseting the counter, gonna start over again...

    Day 0

My girlfriend is quitting her job tomorrow because of the move and that meant that these are my last days do be home alone for a really long time. And that thought resulted in me binging for three hours.

Today I’ve tried to get back inline and started my morning routine that helped me. But I’ve made a mistake and brought my phone with me for my morning poo and I’ve started watching porn on the toilet. I would have reset my counter except I am still on zero.

I’ve ashamed that I’ve watched at all, but I’m proud that I’ve realized what I’ve done and put it away and went to lift some weights to rebalance my energy. Now I’m out of the house and working on better things.

One of my favorite actors is terry cruse and I’ve found out he wrote a book that is part self help and part memoir. I’ve started reading it because cruse is known for also being addicted to porn. I hope to get some insights from him.

Day 190 no PMO. I’m not really sure what my best streak is but I’ve got to be getting close if I haven’t passed it already. This is also my first time on NoFap and I think it’s really helping. Good luck everyone.

How do you make water cold for cold showers , I used to keep a bowl of water in the refrigerator the previous night and use it. But that method is too annoying sometimes . Do you have water coolers or anything of that sort.

    DAY 0
Relapsed because I've been surfing too much oon the internet.

  13. This is a good idea that I wouldn't have thought of. Thanks for sharing it.
Annoying sometimes, I understand. I would also consider the energy that is needed for freezing the water (just saying).
However all in all this is a good habit of yours and even if you don't do it every morning I think it's worth it.

You could also use ice cubes that you make and store in the freeze and then either put in a bathtub (for a cold bath) or put into a bucket of water to use in the shower.
Another efficient way of using ice cubes (if you have only a few) would be to apply them directly on your skin and let them melt. Maybe this can replace a cold shower.

A new approach for you would be to look for something outside of your home. Maybe someone else or a public pool has cold water (it is cold even in the summer when it comes from deep down). Or maybe you can swim in a lake or river nearby.
But always take care and be cautious, especially in open waters!

  14. I'm still on day 0 but ... I'm learning from it, I hope.
I've read through The Fellowship of the Ring and am now at the beginning of The Two Towers. It correspondents with 70 days of the Challenge and the rank 'Warrior of Gondor'. I decided to not read any further until I've reached that rank!

    See you soon.

    I’m sorry brother.

But at the same time there is a tiny piece in me that is happy. There is some kind of bond from starting at the same day as someone else. Somehow it’s like instant accountability.

In other words, I hope your feet are well and that you’ve had your second breakfast because we’re starting the journey again today!

well, caffeine increases anxiety and can create sleeping impairments.

since these two areas are critical in any addiction (addictions cause anxiety and sleeping disturbances), so coffee in many rebooters does not help in rebooting, since it can cause the same sympthoms that we are trying to solve.

i too had my morning coffee intake for years, but finally i quitted some months ago, and i feel a lot better now :).

i still experience pmo withdrawals, but with coffee it was much worst.

A key aspect is don´t stress yourself with expectations. i remember the first time i reach 90 days, my mantra was "one day at a time", i didn´t care how much was ahead, i didn´t care how much was behind. i only cared about NOW, TODAY. and that´s what matters.

    so when i reached 3 months i was like "wow, 3 months passed? i didn´t feel a thing :D "

in fact this mantra is crucial to every rebooter. forget about time, time will not help you. just focus on today, now, develop coping skills that you need (in your particular case, you need skills for stress, among others), live a good day and no pmo ;)
